Ray St Clair Roofing

We were extremely pleased with our experience from estimate to finish of job. They showed us sample brick, and roof tile before ordering for us to okay. They were prompt to the job and very considerate. They avoided parking on the grass and any loud noises like rap on radios, etc. The dump truck was parked each morning so that we didn't have it in the drive in the evening and over night. They placed a tarp along the work areas to catch debris and then used a magnet and rake to clean up each day. We have not had problems with roofing nails in the grass since they were here. The materials used were very good quality and look nice especially the brick on the chimney that had to be replaced. The workers were friendly and polite and wanted to make certain the job was to our satisfaction. They had an inspector visit at the conclusion of the job. The estimator, the workmen, the inspector, and later the job supervisor were very concerned to our satisfaction and told us to get in touch if we needed something fixed. We would certainly do business with this company again and would highly recommend them.

The estimate was professional, typed, very neat. Had pictures of the house with items marked. Followed up to keep me apprised of what was going on because of weather. They did the job so well my fiance didn't even know they had started because they had cleaned up everything. I love the appearance. Even my neighbors commented about how professional they were. I came in from a trip on Friday and a supervisor was going through the mulch with a magnet looking for nails. Someone came out to do a final inspection. I would highly recommend them!

Called for a estimate. Came out within a couple of days. Written estimate given. Called and gave the ok. They came out even earlier to fix the leak.

They were very good. They were very thorough and did a great job. Their price was reasonable. They are very reliable and have a good reputation.

I was satisfied with the work they did. They did a pretty good job of matching the replaced shingles. They did the work when they said they would do it. Overall, it went very well. I would recommend them. I thought it was a reasonable price for the fix. The work was prepared in a timely fashion. So far, the work is holding up.

The first day they removed the skylights and replaced the bad wood around and over the opening of one skylight. The second day they put down wood over the other skylight opening and repaired the roof around the chimney with new flashing and put down new shingles on the repairs. No more leaking skylights. I am very pleased with the work.

We had a good experience with them. Everything went really well. My trash can got left in their truck when they left by accident and they credited me for a new trash can.

The work was top quality. The chimney masonry still looks brand new 4 years later. Not even any slight cracking. However, the workers spilled some cement on my wood deck. I wrote a letter to the company expressing my displeasure with the spilled cement. The next day Mr. Ray St. Clair himself called me personally to apologize and offer to pay for the the deck to be cleaned, stripped, and restained by a contractor of my choosing, and also offered to send someone out to clean up the cement. He ensured me that this was not representative of the work his company does. As other reports about this company have indicated, the cost of the work is high - but for that you get no-drama, top-quality workmanship from Cincinnati's most reputable roofer. The company was very clear about the cost for the work in the initial proposal, which detailed exactly what would be done. Keep in mind that in addition to the price of the work, you are also paying for an assurance of quality with Ray St. Clair. The cost is also high because Ray St. Clair usually proposes the work necessary to make your roof practically perfect. If your initial proposal is too high, ask what would happen if you don't do certain items on the list. In my experience, they were honest enough to explain the relative importance of each item, and the potential risks of not making the repair. You can save a lot of money by paying a lesser known contractor to do the work, but unless you trust them, you're taking a big risk. Your roof could be worse in the end than it was before the work began, and you don't know if they will be responsive to complaints.

They were quite insistent that I do more work on our roof than we had money for. I felt a little pressured. The estimate was delivered in a timely manner and the cost ( I thought) was exorbitant.

They were very professional. They were on time and even worked on the weekend. They tore 2 layers of shingles off and fixed all the rotted wood from the leaks we had. They repaired the chimney and added new flashings. They fixed all the problems we had with the roof and we have not had any leaks or problems since. I would recommend them to others.

They were wonderful. The job went wonderfully. They were very, very conscientious. We did have one problem and they came back immediately and fixed it. Their price is probably high but their work is superior.

The quote was around $30000. I called them because of the local reputation. They had actually done a few repairs in the years prior to that too and that was always of high quality. Their quality is very high, but the cost is very high too. I would use them again in the future.

Overall, the experience went okay. They did kind of a sloppy job with the caulking, but the leak was fixed. I've used them several times in the past.

I am very please company and would defiantly use them again int he future. I also have recommend them to others.

Outstanding service and work throughout the process. Shortly after expressing interest, David Noonan came out on 2 occasions to evaluate, bring samples and literature, and give estimate for job. He discussed a solution to a ventilation issue to prevent ice damming that 2 other roofers didn't bring up (even when asked). Job started within 2 weeks of bid acceptance. We received calls explaining what would be done and when. Crew arrived promptly, and Crew Leader introduced himself & crew when they started job; they were all very conscientious and cleaned up daily. After job was done, the company sent out a Quality Control inspector which they do for all their jobs now to make sure everything was done exactly as it should. He noticed a couple very minor items which were promptly taken care of. There were a few short delays related to winter weather; for all they called and kept us informed as to when they would be working. Ray St. Clair had a reputation in the past for being pricey, but their bid was within 1/2 percent of the other bids we got, and for doing a little more work than the other bids promised. I had used them in the past for gutter helmets, and noticed this time around that there was a much greater emphasis on quality work, customer service, and communication. We had absolutely no complaints with the entire process, and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

They got someone out right away. They replaced the vent pipe including repairing the flashing and repaired shingles. They did some fine detective work to discover the problem and will take pictures to show what is happening. They have doe some work for us previously.

Work was performed as agreed. The technician who performed the work also corrected some other issues that were detected.

They were quick to respond for a quote and did a thorough inspection of the attic. They were good about explaining the work that would be done (attaching a few loose baffles on soffits, attic hatch, and protection around can lights). Decided to go with another company based on price and type of insulation used.

My kitchen roof was leaking into my home. Although an unpleasant suprise to awake to, Ray St Clair had someone at my house in under two hours and stopped the leak. The price paid felt fair and in a situation where water was entering y home, speed and responsiveness were hugely appreciated. The employees that work on dispatching as well as those doing the work are very professional. They promptly answered my call and even checked in once the emergency crew was on it way. Top notch customer sevice and I will be calling them for any future roofing needs.

Since they wanted to charge me $178 to provide me a quote, I elected not to include them in my list of vendors.

Contacted Ray St. Clair Roofing initially through their web site. They responded by email that someone would contact me shortly. After waiting a week, and no contact, I call them to set up an appointment for an estimate. The person arrived at the appointed time, took measurements and said an estimate would be sent out in a few days. Five days later a representative from Ray St. Clair called and said the estimate was sent out. 2 Weeks later and still no estimate!!!!!

We had squirrels eat through our gutter and fascia board and get into our attic. Once the squirrels were caught, we had our gutter repaired. Ray Sinclair was very prompt and gave us the best estimate. They removed the damaged gutter, removed the fascia board, wrapped new fascia board in aluminum, placed it on the house and re-attached the gutter. They were able to schedule us quickly and they even fixed a downspout that we didn't ask them to fix - at no cost! I would definitely use them again, and I do recommend them to others.

Thy were very professional and timely. They returned our call within a day and came out a few days later to assess the situation. They quickly provided a quote and then executed the work within a few days once we approved. Very professional and well done.

They were prompt. There were a lot of people who had damage and they got out here and fixed it right away. They came when they said they were going to.

I was very impressed with the comprehensiveness of the quote and the length of time the estimator took to make the quote. I wasn't at the house when the work was performed but as far as I can tell, it went very well. I would definitely use this Comapny again.
