I had a scare with my AC when my unit froze. I was able to defrost it and realized it was a clogged filter. My bad. But I decided to call someone to do a checkup on my system. I had heard good things about Hill Air so I made appointment. The Hill Air technician was on time and was very pleasant. I am usually very hesitant to allow repairmen in my house when I am by myself but the technician put me at ease with his professionalism. He went through the checklist and gave me details about my system. He did not pressure me to buy new parts or upgrade my system. The technician showed me where my system was strong and where it had weaknesses. On top of that he showed me the costs associated with the service and it did not cost me an arm and a leg. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hill Air. You will not be sorry.

Repair technician was prompt and courteous. Diagnostics and repairs were thorough and performed as described. My A/C is now working well now. Would definitely recommend this company for HVAC service.

The service technicians are always on time, take care to be neat, tell me exactly what they are doing and how my system is operating. I also appreciate the maintenance plans Hill-Air has and that they keep me on track to use them. I've used Hill-Air for 5 years.

Hill-Air has provided service and maintenance of our furnaces and air conditioners for nearly 30 years. They are great! I wouldn’t call anyone else. Their staff is highly professional and pleasant to work with. Chris recently came to inspect our air conditioner as part of their preventative maintenance program. He was very thorough and friendly and gave us some good tips. I would highly recommend Hill-Air to anyone.

We have had the Preventive Maintenance Agreement with Hill-Air for many years (20+) and they have always been punctual, done excellent work and kept our heating and cooling plant in good shape. In addition, they have always worn booties in order to avoid dragging dirt into the house.

Everything was fantastic!! My team of installers were very personable, friendly, professional, clean, and thorough. Even the service technician that came back out to tweak the system was great. I'll definitely be requesting him by name again! I feel highly confident in Hill-Air to take care of any of my HVAC needs. Great company!

Installation was quick requiring only half a day. The technicians worked quickly and all the old materials were taken away and everything cleaned up before they left. The AC advisor returned a few days later to inspect the installation and answer any questions. All permits and inspections were taken care of and Hill Air provided one year of preventative maintenance for free.

It went very well. Covered flooring and carpets where they need to enter end exit the home. Cleaned up the installation area and left it as they found it.

Technician was wonderful. Customer service who scheduled the appointment never saved the time so we waited around all morning for no one to come; but they corrected the situation promptly had someone out that afternoon.

They always do it on time. They call me to tell me it's scheduled and they always show up on time. They do a very thorough job. They do both the check inside the air handler unit as well as the heat pump on the outside.

We've been very pleased with them. They come twice a year to service the unit. We have geothermal and propane.

The Hill Air technician correctly diagnosed the problem, a faulty furnace gas valve. However we think they gouged us on the quote to replace the gas valve. It was Friday afternoon with freezing temperatures forecast for the weekend. It was normal business hours so there was no extra charge for emergency service. We just paid the diagnostic fee and refused the repair from Hill Air. We obtained several quotes from other companies over the telephone using the part number from Hill Air's invoice so the quotes were "apples to apples". Hill Air quoted $840, the next highest competitor was $650 and we ended up getting it done for $270 from a highly rated Angie's List contractor. It took the repairman less than an hour to replace the gas valve so there was not a lot of labor. For comparison I found the part online for less than $200 retail. So we think Hill Air's markup was excessive. We're definitely believers in Angie's List now.

Arrived on time and replaced a/c unit. All went well. Would recommend them.

They got to me right away. The installation did not take long. The price was reasonable. It was professionally handled and done well. It has been great and we love out new AC unit. It is also efficient.

It was a pleasure to work with Hill Air for the replacement of our furnace and a/c! The units we had were original to the house (almost 20 years old...) and we knew they were going to need to be replaced. We have worked with Hill Air since we moved into the house 13 years ago with great success, so they were included when we were getting estimates for the replacement. When Jim came to give us our estimate, he was great! It's hard to explain, but he seemed like one of the family. He gave us several choices and answered the questions we had, no matter how silly they were. Needless to say, when the a/c went out about 2 months later, their paper was the only one we grabbed. They may not have been the cheapest, but we were familiar with the company and knew we wouldn't be disappointed. My call was returned first thing in the morning (I called him quite late) and we were scheduled 5 days later. The gentlemen that came to install everything were just that, Gentlemen. Very polite, lots of fun and knew exactly what they had to do. The job was completed in great time and with very little disruption to the day. We received a discount for not financing, an additional discount for our previous business with them and they even filed the paperwork with Duke Energy for our credit with them. I would highly recommend them for any heating and a/c you need done at your house!

Hill Air installed our geothermal loop improperly, and we now have evidence that they never serviced the system properly over 5 years' time. They did not have competency in geothermal installation and service, but they led us to believe they did when we hired them. We eventually had to hire a different contractor to dig up and rebuild the loop Hill-Air installed. Now, at last, with the loop rebuilt by the other contractor, the system is working properly. However, Hill-Air has refused to pay the $3,257.74 it cost to have the loop rebuilt.

Three years ago they installed a complete heating air conditioning and heating system. One year it was for the annual maintenance. It was part of an annual maintenance package which was about $250 a year. The technicians are experienced, polite, clean, on time and seem to know what they are doing.

This is the company that bought out the company that I had dealt with in the past. Vicky in their office was very pleasant to deal with and scheduled a serviceman. She was very professional and answered all my questions. Bob was the 1st service tech to come to the house and was very professional and diagnosed my problem quickly. Then informed me why I had been having problems in the past. Vicky worked up a price for me for a better unit then I had that was still under warranty and within 3 days she scheduled the unit to be replaced. Billy was the tech that came and replaced the unit. I received a 10 year warranty on parts and labor on the 2 stage heat pump with propane backup. Both technicians were very professional and courteous and I would highly recommend this company.

The person who came out last time was really good. He explained a lot of things to me and showed me what exactly he was doing. He was exceptional and the experience was very good.

Hill Air came out to our house to check air conditioning as it was not working. They stated that the blower unit needed to be replaced and the cost would be over $1000. I told them that I had a home warranty and would contact them to do the repairs. The contractor that the home warranty service sent out found that the blower module needed to be replaced NOT the blower and the price was $349. Savings about $700 with another company.

Salesman was very professional. However, we did not get a copy of the warranty for our unit. I wasn't sure the installer was told the specifics on what we needed to have done. Overall, we have used this company for 10 years, and they always do a top-notch job. We would trust them to do any of our heating and A/C work.
