From the very first phone call to getting the work done , they were so promt and very courteous. I would tell anyone to use this company, we could not be more pleased.

They came and checked the roof. There was no damage. They are great company. They are polite. They came and were on time. They were quick. They checked even the neighbor’s roof. They didn’t charge anything. I would use them in the future.

They were wonderful. We did get them early so they weren’t so backed up yet. They were great and Chris Hill was our representative. He was with us from start to finish. He came promptly when he said he would, he repeatedly came back when we had questions to answer, he worked with our insurance estimate, he supervised the whole process once the roof was out they re-worked our house when it was 100 degrees. So it took the crew 7 days because we had a big house. They were quiet, thorough, cleaned up and it was just a very good experience. There were couple of things that needed to be tweaked that happens in almost everyone’s case and I had no problems with that. They were not the cheapest but they were pretty reasonable within our insurance quote. We would hire them again. They were here when they said they were going to be here and we were really impressed. It was 100 degrees and they took planned breaks. They just didn’t sit and took planned breaks altogether. We were just so impressed that we gave peas and things like that. They were so hard working. Chris Hill specifically found the particular crew to do our roof because he knew that they were good at working with steep roof. So he did custom the crew to our particular needs.

They did a complete tear off of my roof. They re-roofed my house and my garage. Lance Roofing and Siding did an outstanding job. They were quite and neat. The crew did not goof off or use foul language. They just did their work. I never expected a bunch of young men to be so nice. I wrote a letter to the owner of the company and told him so.

Overall, a good experience and I would use them again. Paul Lance was on-time for our initial appointment. He used his ladder to inspect the roof areas that were causing leaks. He verbally ball-parked the cost and said that his estimate would be mailed with in the next two days. We received the estimate and scheduled the work to be done. Lance Roofing has a separate crew that handles roof repairs and skylight installs. Because of this, we didn't have to wait in queue for all of his higher priority roofing replacements to be done before our work could be completed. The repair crew arrived a couple of weeks later, replaced the skylights (which took a couple of hours) and repaired the leak in the roof. A separate gutter crew arrived 2-3 weeks later and handled the gutter replacement over the back porch area. I'm very satisfied with the results. There were no surprises. About the only suggestion I could offer Lance Roofing is to call the customer and let him/her know when the workers would be arriving. Our work required inside access on the skylights and it just happened that we were home when they arrived. Same with the gutter repair team. Also, when the work is done, it would be nice if they checked in with the homeowner and gave an update on the work that was done. Both teams simply left when they were done. Not a big deal. But it would have been nice to have an update before they left.

The work was done in June and it looked very nice. WIthin a few months the shingle started to fall off. We called the company they came out within a couple of months and put a number of them back assuring us that this would stop eventually. It never did. Each season three to six shingles would fall off and the company would send someone to fix them. The second year a second floor ice dam caused water to ruin sheatrock in the foyer and later in the garage. The wood that was supposed to be replaced was never replaced under the eaves by the garage which is now leaking. I have leaks now in the kitchen also.

I was a bit annoyed by the fact that Mr. Lance did not provide a written estimate on the day he came out, which was a Thursday. He did provide a verbal estimate. He stated that a written estimate would be snail mailed to me the following Monday. The following Tuesday, I received a written estimate in the mail, which was the same as the verbal estimate he provided. The written estimate came in a nice pocket folder with a business card, copies of E-mail communications between me and the company, a form letter from Mr. Lance, a refrigerator magnet, a copy of the company insurance coverage, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Comp certification, and an old customer referral listing (customers in my residential area). He stated they could begin repair work immediately because they were not backed up with repair work (they were backed up with new roofing jobs).Since I have a speaking disability, I had to communicate with Lance via E-Mail. I had some questions relating to the estimate and sent E-mail to their E-mail address. My E-mail was returned 3 separate times (3 different days) stating the company mailbox was full. Therefore, I had to snail mail my questions to Lance. I received a telephone response about a week later. Mr. Lance apologized for the delay getting back to me stating the company was busy. The estimated cost by Lance was about $150 lower than other estimates I received. However, I chose another company that was a bit more expensive because I liked the materials this other company would be using, as well as their explanation of how the work would be accomplished.

It went wonderfully! The salesman came to the house, explained the whole process, helped us pick out shingles, and gave us a detailed estimate. We were very impressed with his friendly yet professional attitude. The shingles arrived on the day they were promised. The crew was trying to work around rainstorms, so they arrived bright and early the day to which they were committed. There was plenty of help (7 or 8 workers). They worked quickly and well, with no swearing. They were respectful and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves as they went along. As rain was threatening that afternoon they didn't start the second half until the next day, so they didn't have to tarp the roof and risk water leakage into the house. We appreciated that very much. They finished on the second day. In all, it took a total of one day to complete. .I am astounded at the beauty of our new roof. The color is just perfect and so is the roofing job. We would recommend them in a heartbeat. They weren't the cheapest estimate we got, but I'm convinced we contracted with the right company. We found them on Angie's List.

Lance Roofing was superb from start to finish. Gary Lance came to the house within 24 hours of contacting them to assess the leak damage. Within another 24 hours I had two very professionally repaired estimates -- one for a complete new roof which was 30% less than another company and a second estimate to repair and reseal the roof. They came in and did the initial repairs within days of my signing the contract, but had to wait almost another week because of NONSTOP rain to reseal the roof. I've had no leak problems since and was extremely pleased with them.

Overall, my experience with them was fine. I was looking for someone to give me a metal roof. I had tried in the past years, and nobody ever showed up. I saw them at the home show that they had, and they said that they would do a metal roof, and on my request, they came out and gave me an estimate. They were punctual. I had two different estimates; one was just under $10,000 and the other was $15,000 because one was a metal roof and the other was an asphalt roof. I don?t have the money right now to do it, but I guess I will wait till we get a little more into the summer. I think I would contact them again in the future. They had quite a few references, and I was going to call a few other people before I did anything.

I was having my kitchen remodeled when there was a leak in the ceiling. Work on the ceiling hah to stop. I called Lance Roofing that morning and the owner came out the same day even though it was raining. He examined the problem and prosed a solution and a price. He sent his workman out the next day and completed the job even though it snowed. It was first rate and the price was right. Lance Roofing guaranteed his work for three years. I am very pleased. JEF

The work was done well, and there were no problems with the work when it was being done. The scheduling was a hassle, but it was worked out in the end. There were no problems with the employees.

Their prices seemed reasonable and they did a great job. They really seemed to know what they were doing. I was having a lot of trouble and they were able to fix everything.

A crew of approximately 5 men removed board and batten trim, old exterior light fixtures and shutters. They helpfully recommended new lighting fixtures and offered to put them up without additional charge. Work took longer than I planned (took about 3 weeks) but crew was courteous and did a good job. They did not show up some days that I expected them, but I was not in a hurry so it was not a problem. They were careful to clean up after themselves, and left the house and surroundings in good shape. The owner came out to review the work that was done, and to ensure that I was satisfied. I used this company for a new roof several years ago, and have recommended them to others.

I guess they were ok, at least my hubby said that all went fine. I just thought that it was a little too much. They did recommend that because it is a porch roof, we should have it done by a contractor. It really is not a necessity so I do not know if we are going to have it done. They were however nice and seemed to be professional.

WE GOT SEVERAL QUOTES AND THEIR QUOTE WASN'T NECESSARILY THE BEST, BUT WE DECIDED QUALITY WAS MORE IMPORTANT AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE GOT. THE CHOICE WE MADE TURNED OUT TO BE FOR THE BEST.

THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND RESPECTFUL AROUND OUR HOME. THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF CLEANING UP WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
