Description of Work: This is a scam. The $99 crack repair does not exist. This is how they get into your basement to tell you that you need thousands of dollars of work. My verbal estimate was $6K but they also suggested an additional $30K of work. They did not send me a written estimate as they said they would. I would like my money back. In the meantime, another contractor came to my house and his estimate was $1900. The same additional work that Ram Jack estimated at $30K was estimated at $6K. I want my money back. THX.

Description of Work: Provided an inspection and repair estimate of basement wall and foundation. The inspection was to, among other things, 1. provide a diagram of my home with elevations of the foundation and 2. a comprehensive results and analysis of inspection, including current foundation and drainage conditions. Item 1. was never provided and item 2.was only partially provided in verbal form, no written documentation.

Description of Work: We had some problems with the appointment--first,they forgot it completely and then they were early for the rescheduled appointment. However when we got together, it was an EXCELLENT experience! He did what was contracted; when it was clear this would not solve my problem, he explained why AND explained what I needed to do to solve the problem, including a list of materials and a diagram. He took a great deal of extra time and was extremely pleasant. I would certainly deal with thiw company again and would recommend them.

Description of Work: I purchased this via an Angie's List special which was $49 for a Foundation Inspection and Preventive water Leakage Plan. The person came to my house, walked around with me to look at the couple of areas of concern, said they would get back to me with a plan and thus far it has been 4 weeks and I haven't heard anything, let alone a "comprehensive analysis including a preventative water leakage plan". In other words, I paid them $49 to make a sales call on me.

 + 2 moreOriginal back porch posts were settling after 14 years. Contacted original contractor but wasn't satisfied with proposal. Contacted Ram Jack and liked their proposal. Although original proposal called for steel piers, soil conditions were not conducive to this solution. The concrete piers turned out to be less expensive. Adjustable jacks allow additional adjustments as necessary. Original front porch posts deteriorated and needed replacement. Although I had someone else build the posts, Ram Jack installed them for me. Front porch step brick and mortar had fallen apart after 19 years and needed replaced. Ram Jack removed the old step and replaced it with a larger step.
Description of Work: Leveled 12' x 16' wood enclosed porch by installing 3 concrete piers and adjustable jacks. Replaced three 8' front porch posts Replaced 30'' x 72' brick and concrete front porch step.

 + -1 morePHONE CALL ANSWERED PERSONALLY. PROMPT VIEWING OF WORK TO BE DONE. VERY PERSONABLE MAN AND NICE TO TALK TO. ORIGINALLY GAVE ME PRICE OF 1400 DOLLARS. WHEN I MENTIONED THE ESTATE WAS BROKE AND ALL MONEY CAME OUT OF MY POCKET AND I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN, HE SAID HE'D COME DOWN. HE DID TO 700 DOLLARS. HE SAID THE SIDEWALK WOULD NEED A SECTION REMOVED AND REPLACED. HE SAID OTHER PORTIONS NEEDED LIFTED IN FRONT OF STEPS AND A CORRECT LEVELING TO DRAIN AREA MADE. HE ALSO SAID DRIVE SECTION BY SIDEWALK TO HOUSE NEEDED LIFTED TO MATCH A SMALL SECTION OF SIDEWALK. HE NEVER NOTED OR MENTIONED OTHER AREA OF DRIVE WHICH WAS ALSO A TRIP HAZARD. THOUGH THIS WAS NOT ORIGINALLY ON THE INSPECTORS FIX LIST. BECAUSE OF THE COST, MY QUESTIONING OF RAISING DRIVE AT SIDEWALK AND REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF SIDEWALK AREAS I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHO CUT SMALL SECTION OF WALK FREE AND LOWERED IT TO MATCH DRIVE AREA, WHO DID OTHER WORK WITHOUT REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT DID ALL OTHER WORK. CHEAPER.

I WAS TOLD THAT SECTIONS OF SIDEWALK TO HOUSE NEEDED REPLACEMENT, I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT SECTION OF DRIVE NEEDED LIFTED TO MATCH SMALL PORTION OF SIDEWALK TO HOUSE. NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT OTHER AREA OF DRIVE THAT WAS UNLEVEL THAT THE INSPECTOR DID NOT NOTE THE FIRST TIME OUT.
