Parks Tree Inc

This is the 3rd time since last fall that I've had Parks Tree come and do misc. yard work/weeding/cleanup for me. Each time they have done an excellent job and I will definitely be calling them back again. I've recommended their services to others. Place is left spotless after they leave. Thanks, guys!

Steve Parks was very friendly and responsive. I called several companies that morning and he was the only one who answered and then he was able to get his crew out to us that same day.

Great job - estimator and crew were punctual and efficient in their work. They used a large bucket truck to reach upper branches of the trees and made sure to care for my lawn and drive when repositioning the equipment. The branches and dead limbs were all cleared from the lot when they were through with the job. Crew made sure to walk the jobsite with me when done to ensure that they had met my expectations before they were done.

I used a Angie's List Big Deal coupon. Justin was very prompt in returning my phone call to schedule service.Excellent experience Andy and Mark were very prompt, and they worked quickly. My flower bed was like jungle with over grown weeds and plants that I no longer wanted. They cleaned out my flower bed and they even hosed down my patio furniture and neatly rearranged furniture. Also Andy gave me much needed advise on how to maintain my flower bed.

Steve called to set up an appointment for an estimate within a day after I had called. When he examined my landscape I disclosed what results I was aiming for and he explained in detail what they would and would not do. I agreed to the proposal and we scheduled a date for the work. The crew arrived at the appointed time and began work. Steve arrived a little later and we made some necessary adjustments to work to be done on the small maple. Everyone seemed to know his job. They completed their tasks, cleaned the area, and disposed of the cuttings. My jungle is gone now and I am proud to have a neatly landscaped yard.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's list and Steve Parks called me within one day to arrange a time to see what I needed to have done. On the day of the work Billy and 2 others were sent out. Billy did a great job in trimming the tree so that it still provided shade over the deck, but was trimmed enough so that it wouldn't hit the roof anymore. He made sure it was done to my liking. The branches were hauled away put through the chipper and the yard was cleaned up as was the deck. I could not ask for more. Great job!

They called me about 20 minutes before arrival and arrived on time. We discussed what I needed. They separated the tasks and began work. Andy Asked me for guidance on how much and what I wanted trimmed from the trees and made very helpful suggestions for aspects of the work that I had not considered. When I looked at the trees after they were trimmed and discovered a few areas I also wanted clipped, Andy had no problem stopping the bush work and clipping the additional tree branches. They cleared and removed all debries. The job ran longer than the 4 hours purchased via coupons (almost 30 minutes). When I asked about it, Andy told me that the time was close enough. They worked the entire time. They did a complete, professional job and my husband, who is usually around during this kind of activity, was very impressed when he arrived later.

The men were efficent, polite and cheerful. The results are way better than I had hoped since I have had other yard work in past years and it was not up to expectations. This work was much better and more complete. My neighbors have all remarked on the good looks of my yard.

I was very pleased with them. When I got the Big Deal the price was really good. I have had other trees cut down and this was a good price. They were good and did a nice job. The only thing that didn’t stand out was that they didn’t grind it but it would’ve cost me more if it would be grinded. They were a little late to come in but they did call that they were busy.

They were on time, efficient, friendly, and they knew what they were doing. I think the price was good.

They arrived on time, worked professionally and competently. They asked me if it was looking the way I wanted when they were almost done, and then took my feedback and did more when I explained that I didn't want any tree branches overhanging the house. They cleaned up well and were courteous.

We took advantage of an Angies List coupon, and had the owner come to see what we wanted done. He was very clear that extra time would be charged the hourly rate of $200, and the price above reflects three hours of two men, so six man hours. The two workers were very nice, discussed with us what we wanted done, and also reminded us they would stay longer than the one hour (two man hours) at the hourly charge. We started out with just the light trimming that was very necessary, and were so impressed with their skill, knowledge, and hard work that we hired them to do more work. We are glad we did - our yard looks better than it ever has, and a neighbor even hired them while they were here to do work in hisyard, including cutting down a relatively small tree.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for 4 man hours of yard clean-up for $149 back in March. I procrastinated and didn't use it right away. Mid-July I checked the coupon and it had expired on July 4. I called Justin @ Parks Tree to ask if he'd honor the coupon and left a message. He called back the same day and said yes without hesitation. We scheduled an appt. for a week and half. The coupon was supposed to be for two men for two hours. However, the crew showed up right on time w/ three men. I showed them what I wanted to be done and they went to work. After an hour and 45 minutes they had exceeded my expectations, cleaning up everything I had asked and hauling away all the debris. Andy and the other guys were awesome...checking in with me along the way and making sure I was happy with their work. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

I paid Park's Tree service to clean up and trim several of the trees on our lot. I assumed they would professionally trim our trees. Some they did well others not so much and few they really butchered. No one from the company followed up after the fact to see if we were satisfied with the services performed.

I was very pleased with the work done by Park Tree Company. They arrived on time. After the work was completed, they cleaned up and hauled away all the debris. I would use the company again.

Parks tree service came out promptly and gave a reasonable estimate for the work. The crew came out the following week and did a terrific job downing three trees, two that had to be limbed before being downed due to lack of space. Terrific job, great cleanup, cut up and stacked the hardwood tree that I wanted to keep for firewood, and shredded the rest. Even helped me reassemble a swing that i took down to make the job easier. The stumps were ground a few days later, and they even ground a fourth that i had felled years earlier at no cost !! great courteous service!

The workers that came to take down the trees were extremely professional, arrived early (not a problem) started work without disturbing us, cut up the wood and cleaned up the yard very quickly and thoroughly. No complaints with the work they did, as a matter of fact I was very pleased. Still waiting for the tree stump removal. Apparently this service is subcontracted. I haven't met the gentleman yet. He was supposed to come on the 8th but called to say he was at my house on the 6th (when we weren't home) and he seemed kind of put out as his Saturday (the day that was scheduled) was full. I had someone at the house so I called and had him move the cars out of the way, but only 1 stump was removed of the 4. He had called Parks tree service and stated that he couldn't remove one of the stumps due to surrounding debris and couldn't find the other 2 older stumps. I cleared the debris and waited to hear from someone. I received a call the following Saturday from the subcontractor stating he was on his way to clear the stumps, however we were out of town (Canada) and when I told him this he got very irate and said he didn't have time to deal with the cars being moved, etc. We have scheduled for him to arrive on July 21st, let?s hope there are no more missed communications.

We had a tall Oak tree that had some dead branches, some were pretty far up on the tree. After one of the branches fell recently, we realized this was a hazard. We had called another company, but they never came out to give an estimate after several calls. I looked up Parks Tree Service on Angie's list, and we called. They came out when they said they would for the estimate. We set up an appointment to get the work done, and they showed up promptly. They trimmed the tall Oak tree, and also trimmed some branches from a Maple in front of the house. We are very pleased with the job, and the clean up.

Since the oak tree was enormous, we had expected that it would take longer than the estimated 8 hours to clean up the debris, but during the time we were at work, all of the trees were taken care of. There were no leftover branches or wood shavings to be seen! To be honest, it took a couple of weeks for the stumps to be removed, due to extremely hot temperatures and machine repairs. However, when the man came to grind down the stumps, we were very happy with the work, particularly since the maple tree had been sitting on top of the sewer line and we were worried that it might be damaged during the process. Excellent service overall!

Steve looked at a large elm in our backyard that we had treated for 25 years against the Dutch Elm disease. After a careful look he recommended removal. The tree was approximately 36 inches in diameter and only about 10-12 feet from the house. There are electric wires on both one side and the back edge of our relatively small yard. Large limbs were ove the wires and over our roof. This was therefore a challenging job and Parks performed the major components on time and without major incident. However, there were ancillary issues that prevent us from recommending Parks. First, they used our next door neighbor's flower bed as a temporary landing zone for large pieces of the trunk; the bed was completely destroyed. Although Steve offered to come out and perform unspecified repairs, there should have been other places to put the pieces down while waiting to haul them away. Or at least have asked us. It would have been annoying enough if this were our bed, but it is not cool at all to nuke the neighbors' plants. Second, the subcontractor that Parks hired to grind the stump did not mound up the wood chips over the site of the tree. Instead, he left numerous small piles across a large portion of our back yard. We have had two large oaks removed over the past five years, using different companies each time. In both cases, the chips were mounded into a single large pile over the site of the tree after the stump was ground. To be fair, we did not ask if this was part of the grinding process, but our previous experiences led us to believe that it would be. We learned a lesson - always ask. When I asked the subcontractor about completing the job, he said that Parks did not pay for that service, and did not even offer to mound the chips for additional cash. Parks is competent; they handled a challenging job on time and without major issues. But they fell short on the small stuff and we therefore cannot recommend them.

Very disappointing. A head's up from last year's experience: If you are very picky about them cutting off extra branches, you will be advised to stay out and watch them work. They lopped off extra branches that disappointed my wife. Granted, I did not tell them exactly what she had in mind, still, if you are picky you will be well advised to watch them work. so they don't go overboard..

I used an Angie's List voucher which covered a portion of the cost for the pest treatment. There was an additional cost because the tree is so big, but that was made clear from the start and I agreed. They also pruned the tree of deadwood and cut down some old lighting that had begun to fall down. I had to ask them to come back to complete the job as some deadwood remained on the tree after the first attempt. Clean-up was poor and I had to haul some branches to the tree lawn myself. The second attempt was much better, both in the completeness of the job and clean-up. I would use them again as they were very responsive to my call after the first attempt to correct the problems.
