I was afraid that since I had bought the aeration and seeding as a special deal I would have to wait a long time to have the work scheduled and done, but they were very quick to get the job done. Description of Work: In late September we bought an Angie's List Special for Parks Tree Service and we called for an estimate to have a tree pruned. Someone came out within a few days, checked things out and told us that the tree was infected with ash borers and it would be best to have the tree removed. We were getting ready to go out of town in a few weeks, and they were too busy to do the work before we left. We would be returning in December and were told that since December and the winter months are their "slow time", we just needed to call 2 weeks prior to our return to schedule the service, We did exactly as we were instructed, and still have been unable to get our service scheduled. We are very frustrated with communications at this point!

Description of Work: They did a really good job, arrived on time, and got to work..our yard was cleared and cleaned up as we wanted. We would use them again probably this spring for a spring clean up. They removed leaves, weeds, and yard debris.

One had been badly trimmed (destroyed the entire shape of the tree and threatened its stability by lopping off huge limbs all on one side leaving it much heavier on the opposite side) by a company engaged by the local power company. I was amazed that this crew somehow reshaped the tree. They were very careful to trim both trees carefully and in a manner which gives them a chance for healthier growth. The were quick, competent, courteous, answered my questions and volunteered much information. I will definitely call upon this service in the future.

 + -1 moreWe purchased a "Big Deal" for tree service by Parks Tree. Steve came out in advance and we went through my list for tree trimming and removal. When his crew arrived they were courteous and professional. I was very pleased to see that they worked well as a team and really kept things moving along. We were very pleased with the results and as a result we had them come back several weeks later for the removal of a larger tree. This second project also went very well.
Description of Work: They removed a couple of small trees (about 8 - 10" dia. trunks) that did not require any climbing. They also trimmed several trees, removing limbs and shaping them very nicely.

 + -1 moreOur original appointment was for Tuesday, October 30, 2012. That happened to be the day after Hurricane Sandy hit, so the appointment had to be rescheduled, of course. It took some time and quite a few phone calls until they were free to come out, but when they did, the team worked fast and efficiently. Everything really looks neat and tidy now. I purchased the Angie's List deal for 2 man hours.
Description of Work: Cleaned up two overgrown beds in front of house, trimmed bushes, removed (completely dug up) large sapling and several smaller ones, pruned large mulberry tree and tall evergreen. Removed leaves from front. Assessed tree health and advised on weed control.

 + -1 moreSetting up the appointment was easy. All i had to do was to put flags on my sprinkler system spouts. Park tree people cam on the appointed day and did all the work. I can already tell the difference - their quality of work is better than my previous attempts. One last thing regarding the Big Deals. This is my 5th service through Angie's List big deal and I love the quality of the contractors they have selected for these deals. I have not been disappointed with their selection yet.

Company had all of my information already and let me know a couple of dates they would be in the area. Company advised me to identify sprinkler heads and other obstacles in lawn ahead of time and gave great advice to spray crabgrass/lawn-safe weed killer at least three days prior to service as the aeration could lead to additional weed growth. Team of two individuals conducted service as scheduled without requiring my presence. Overall very pleased with results, price, and experience.

 + -1 moreThe work was done in two phases by two people. The trunk was removed duing the day and another person came by later unannounced to grind the stump. They worked quickly to get the job done, but I was not expecting to hear heavy machinery in my back yard at 7pm to finish the .job in the evening.
Description of Work: They removed the remains of a tree stump including 7 feet of the trunk in our back yard. THey cut our the trunk and ground the stump.

 + -1 moreI was extremely happy with their emergency response. I called 2 other companies, and they were the first to respond. One of the others never did get back to me!
Description of Work: Justin and his crew performed emergency tree removal after a storm knocked a large spruce tree into a precarious position, threatening my house and power lines. They came out and gave me an estimate within a couple of hours of my contacting them, and finished the emergency work that night. They took care of the dangerous part of the job immediately, which was taking down the tree and moving it away from the house and power lines. They said they would be back to completely remove the tree, and another tree that was blown over by the same storm, but that was not an emergency, once the most pressing jobs caused by the storm were completed. It did take them about 2 weeks to get back to finish the job.
