I purchased the big deal from Angie's List. It was just okay. I was actually more confused on the price itself, it said it was four men hours that they were able to accomplish in two but I still got charged for stump removal. It was $75 more than the big deal price that I paid. They actually came out on time to do the work but they did take quite a while to finish the work. I had to call in and follow up multiple times. I probably would not use them again.

The experience was fine. The job seems to have been done fine and they come when they were supposed to.

I was pleased with the service, reliability, courtesy of this provider. They arrived short,y before a big storm, so we jointly decided to postpone due to dangerous conditions. They were able to work me I to the schedule again so that the work could be done the following week. The guys were very busy, brought the cherry picker to trim and got right to work. The tree took a long time to trim, and looks dramatically better. All was cleaned well. The men were courteous and professional, I would use them again.

Removal of hickory tree required a large crane to lift tree sections over the house. Crane arrived at 8 am, and remainder of 10-person crew arrived promptly at appointed time of 8:45. Removal of tree went extremely well; tree sections were removed well clear of the house and carefully deposited on the driveway apron for removal/chipping. After each section was removed, the crew cleaned up completely with rakes and blowers, before dropping the next section. The maple tree trimming was promptly completed, and the area was raked and blown clean. The entire crew was extremely courteous, professional, and safety-conscious. The entire process took less than 4 hours, and when the crew left, there was no evidence that anyone had been there. I was extremely pleased with the job, and will definitely use Parks Tree Service in the future.

Guys were prompt, professional and very hardworking. It was a tremendous blessing for my family. Thank you!

Parks was timely, efficient and professional.

I purchased a $249 Angie's List Big Deal for Park's Tree Service for landscaping work as a result of an e-mail solicitation from Angie's List. The deal explicitly listed my city (Akron) as within Park's area of service. After the purchase I called Park's to schedule the service and was told that the company in fact does not service Akron. (The Park's employee I spoke to told me that they have told Angie's List this multiple times but were not able to get their listing changed.) I contacted Angie's List, explained the situation and asked for a refund. Angie's list attempted to up-sell me to a more expensive Deal, also with Park's Tree Service. I explained, for a second time, that the company says it does not perform services in my city. Finally, after multiple e-mails, Angie's List refunded my Big Deal price. I wouldn't be filling out this review, but for three months Angie's List has been sending me e-mails asking me to "clean up my account" by reviewing Park's Tree Service. Here it is, Angie's List. I hope you'll stop sending these e-mails to me now. And I hope you'll do a better job of accurately describing the service area for listed businesses and stop offering Big Deals to members outside those service areas.

They came out and did great as usual. I had them do other things. They took down two trees for me and hauled them away for $400.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal, so after purchasing it, I called to schedule the appointment, but the person who answered was on his way out, so he asked me to call back the next day. There was no answer the next day, but later that day I got an email scheduling my appointment for 10am about a week and a half later. That time was fine, so I confirmed it. On the day of the appointment, there was a knock at my door at 8:30am. Since the appt. was for 10, and I was still in my pjs, I was NOT happy. Justin seemed unfazed by my irritated comment that it didn't seem very professional to show up an hour and a half early without calling. He said he didnt't see my problem with it, and that he figured "the earlier the better". He then asked me what he was there to do. Since I had purchased a tree assessment, and he knew this, I told him I was under the impression that HE would know how it's usually done. It went downhill from there. Twice he said he was leaving and would refund my money. I told him that I wanted him to do what they USUALLY DO for a tree assessment. He finally did do the assessment, and completed a labeled map of the trees on my property, complete with an estimate for any work recommended on each tree with an itemized estimate, which he emailed to me in a timely manner. I am not having Parks do the work because I later got an estimate for about half their price from Aspen, and am having them do it.

Parks tree did a wonderful job. Justin is very professional, cost efficient, and does everything he can to make it a pleasant exprience. Made sure that everything was done correctly and to the homeowners approval. Parks tree, also, trimmed a huge limb hanging over my mothers house. At both homes everything was cleaned up after the job was finished to expectations. Would highly recommend in the future.

The thing that folks need to know is that this vendor does not do all that it contracts (promises) to do. It also makes excuses to not finish the job and and blames the homeowner for the problems. That is how how our job ended. Here is what happened to us, if you care to know. We contracted to have several trees removed. That job involved to have stumps flush cut. The crew was very professional, competent and neat .Bu, they t did not finish the job. They left without finishing, and did not flush cut the stumps and did not remove all the trees that were contracted to be removed. The owner later said that the reason that they did not finish the job was that my wife asked that the crew do additional work, and since they did all this extra work, couldn't finish the contracted work. However, while my wife DID ask for extra work to be done, the fact is that they DID NOT do the exttra work. This was an excuse and not true. When I confrionted the owner on this, he NEVER denied that this was true and accurate. After complaining several times, hey did come back to cut down the stumps, but it really is not a very good job (in my view). The trees that were agreed to be removed, were not removed. (Most, but not all were removed) The vendor was paid in ful at the time services were rendered, although they never were completed. I would never use it again. They do not do what they contract to do, and they make specious, and untrue excuses to get out of doing their responsibilities. They gave me a hard time about doing what they agreed to do. They were very nasty about it as well. They try to blsme the homeowner for the problems in finishing th job. they do not follow up. Proceed with caution.

The guys worked very h****** an extremely hot day. They did a fantastic job! We would definitely recommend these hard workers. They cleaned up the yard, tore out weeds, hauled it all away.

Second time I've used this company and, again, I was completely pleased. The crew members are wonderful and hardworking.

All went well. They really understood trees and helped diagnose a disease on a tree.

I've been very satisfied with Parks Tree. They did a marvelous job. In the past, they have also taken down two trees for me. Parks was doing some work at my neighbor's next door. I never heard of them, but I asked them for a quote and it was a good quote. They took those two trees down and did a super job. It was a very good price. This year, when I saw the Big Deal, I got that and two young men did the yard clean-up. They were absolutely superb. They did everything I asked and when they still had a little bit of time, they did a little bit more than I had asked, which I did appreciate. I also called them because I had a cracked rib and couldn't mow the lawn so I called them and the owner himself came out and mowed it for me and it was for a very reasonable price. He volunteered to come back the next week if I was still feeling bad. I have no complaints whatsoever about Parks Tree. The young men who cleaned my yard were a little bit late but after I saw the quality of their work, I couldn't complain. They went overboard, as far as I'm concerned. They're work was so good.

As I recall, the service was fine. I do not have a negative reaction to them. I would probably recommend them. It was satisfactory.

Ground was very hard and rocky; men had to work to dig and also found some roots remaining from blue spruce that this service had removed previously. Trees and bush appear to be growing well almost 2 months later.

THey were punctual, did the work well, and were done within 30 minutes. Everything went well.

Parks Tree were good. Everything about them was positive.

Came on time, did not disturb my sleeping child, completed the service and left a receipt. Perfect from my perspective. Gutters were cleaned and I had minimal hassles.

Very well. They stayed in touch about scheduling and then the worker showed up precisely when I expected him. He did the work well, consulting with me before making any major cuts. He also left the yard very clean, even getting sticks from the recent wind storm. I will certainly use them in the future.

They had a lot of debri in the trees after they trimmed them. They job was not done to our satisfaction. They told us they would take out 4 of our bushes and grind down the stump, but they did not have the equipment with them to do the job that day. I had to call them to have them come back out to finish the work and their responsiveness was poor. They ended up getting the job done but it was dragged out very long.

They did what they promised professionally. They let me know what they were going to do - and did just that - good work! It did take awhile to get the appointment to come out but other than that well done. One other item - the notification that service would be performed could be better - they sent an email notifying they would be out the next day - would be nice to get something out a bit sooner in case a change needs to be made.
