We got a free inspection a couple weeks later that easily delivered twice the information without a hard sell at the end. It taught me to take Angie's List deals with a giant grain of salt. There clearly isn't much oversight in that process.

Fine. Workers were polite and careful.

Over all a pretty good job. The mulch thickness was a little bit inconsistent , thicker in some spots and real thin in others. The works left a cigarette butt in one of the flower beds and a soda bottle. It was a good deal for what was provided. Obviously not the best of the best but it worked for my needs.

The company contacted me right away and scheduled a time to come out. They sent 4 guys to provide the 8 hours of service so they were able to complete it within a couple of hours. They were punctual and professional and completed everything on my list - removing bushes, weeding, trimming and pruning. They were excellent and I would definitely use them again.

I was not present as the work was being done, so I cannot comment on their abilities. They did remove the tree and branch as requested. However, there are some issues with their service that I find unacceptable. Firstly, they left behind many large and heavy pieces of wood from the tree trunk. They said they would take them, but have not. I have written to them multiple times about this issue. Each time, they apologized, and promised that the wood would be taken away soon. My most recent email to them however remains unanswered, and the wood is still there months later. I find it totally unacceptable business to not completely fulfill your promises. Secondly, they are not very organized. They somehow got me confused with another of their customers with a similar name. Although I don't have a common name, I can understand how similar names can be confused. But then there is the address, which of course is not the same. It's sloppy business to confuse your customers. There is no excuse for this. I was not informed about when they were going to do the work. I was waiting and waiting, and finally emailed to ask them. I received a reply something like "sorry, we should have notified you, we're going there tomorrow". Again, sloppy business and bad customer service. I do not have any criticism of their actual work. Since I was not there as it was being done, I was not able to notice their professionalism or ability in this regard. But I am very disappointed in their customer service and business practices. I will not use their services again. Taking care of your customers and doing everything you say you are going to do is as important as doing your job well.

The major garden was ringed by stones and bricks which had to be relocated to another garden area. Some plants had to be dug out. Then the area was roto-tilled and raked several times. The workers, a three man team, arrived promptly and were very professional.

I elected to go with another company; however, I would consider using Parks Tree in the future. Their representative, Andy, was knowledgeable and professional.

They came, they did the job, the beds looked nice, there was no other evidence that they had actually been here. What more can you ask for?

I contacted Parks Tree Inc for their Big Deal offer for delivery and installation of 3 cubic yards of mulch for $199. We played voicemail phone tag for a couple days, but once we spoke on 4/22, we confirmed the details and they scheduled the appointment for 5/27. I wasnt in a big hurry as I still needed to weed my beds, so the 4 weeks out appointment was fine for my scheduled. The day before the appointment, I replied back to their email with the specific priority order of the 5 areas that I wanted to have mulched, since I wasnt completely sure if 3 cubic yards would cover all areas. I received a call on the afternoon of 5/27 to confirm the installers were on site to do the work and that they had received my priority order for the beds. He asked for payment, and I did pay over the phone as I was not at home when the work was occurring. I suppose I could have refused to pay until the work was completed and I had a chance to get home to evaluate the work performed. But, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and paid over the phone. When I got home, I was pleased to see that all 5 areas had been mulched. The mulch was actually deeper than I expected it to be. I didnt get the ruler out or anything, but thought it was at least as deep as if I would have done it myself. I could tell they did try to clean up some mulch that got outside of the beds and was please to see that. I did have to do some minor cleanup of spillage outside the beds and a little sweeping to clean off some mulch on the bed rock/wood beam surround edge. These were very minor issues in my opinion since I didnt have to make the trip to the nursery/box store to buy many bags of mulch, load into car, unload from car, carry to various beds, and then spend the entire day doing the work myself. In speaking with a family member who was in the process of spreading his own mulch by hand, he told me that he had spoken to a landscaper who lives in his neighborhood that the company he works for charges $100 per cubic foot of mulch with installation. Granted this was only the price from one other company, but it did make me feel as though I did get a good deal on 3 cubic yards with installation for $200. So in my mind, not only did I save myself a day of work, I also save $100 on the price. And most importantly, my wife was pleased with the work and the price, so that was icing on the cake.

I wish I would have read some of these reviews before hiring this company. I had the exact same experience as the review dated 5/23/2015 and the review dated 4/16/2015. Justin (owner/co-owner?) came out to remove a tree and lay mulch. The tree was removed, but debris was left in my yard, my neighbor's yard, and the street. Like another reviewer, I was quoted 8 yards and later received a call stating they needed 4 more yards (I find it hard to believe that someone who does this for a living would be 50% off in their estimate, but I said that if they needed more, they could get it.) The mulch was just dumped in the beds and was not evenly distributed. Some beds had no mulch in the back. In some areas, it was 6-8 inches thick. It covered my perennials and lower branches of almost every bush that was low to the ground. Small princess bushes were completed covered. Shrub clippings were left in the beds. On my initial estimate, bed edging was listed. I stated that I only needed 2 beds edged and he said they would do it. I was at home to review with them what needed to be done and then I left. No one was home while the work was performed. I immediately started receiving emails for payment that afternoon and into the evening. I was unable to make sure everything was done correctly and completely until 2 days later, as I went out of town for work. Upon returning home, I returned to the above issues. I sent an email that day letting him know we were unhappy with the work and that the edging was not done. Via email, he said he would have someone come and edge ONLY if I paid first. (I don't pay anyone for work prior to it being completed, nor do I feel a company should ask for payment when a job is not complete.) When I did not respond to that, he stated he would have someone come and edge ONLY if I paid that person with a check. When I did not respond to that email, he called the next morning asking to send someone out to edge and pick up payment. Again, I mentioned that there was debris everywhere and the mulch was not distributed or placed professionally. He only mentioned edging; there was no offer or willingness to do the additional clean up or mulch distribution. I took numerous pictures, sent some to him, and then listed everything that needed attention. Not once did he address my concerns or offer to try to make things right...not once. He just kept demanding payment. I was told that if I did not pay him that day, he would "escalate the situation" and "take it to court". The work was not even completed?! As another reviewer said, "They seemed more interested in making sure they got paid than in doing a professional job." I could not agree more.

They came out to perform the aeration and overseeing as promised. They did a fine job on those tasks. We asked them to provide an estimate for a spring clean up, edging of the beds and putting down new mulch. A price was agreed upon and they came out when they said they were going to. It was a rainy day and they spent the day working but did not finish the job. They asked to get paid and promised to come back. We told them they would get paid when the job was finished. They came back and didn't do the quality type of work we were expecting. My wife had a punch list of items she wanted corrected before payment would be made. The manager grumbled a bit, but agreed. They came and half heartedly finished the job. I would not recommend them at all. I am extremely disappointed in the work they did. I had to go out and edge the beds myself, the way they should have been done initially. They seemed more interested in making sure they got paid than in doing a professional job. I definitely did not get my money's worth on the landscaping project In all fairness the original job we got them for was done correctly, although it is too soon to tell if the over-seed paid off yet. The price of the aeration and over-seeding was a great price. The price I paid for the landscaping would have been a fair price if the work was done like it should have been. For the price I paid, I feel like I got ripped off. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. They were a big disappointment.

I had about 13 assignments for them. There was three guys here and one of the guys left with no explanation for half an hour. I understood that there were a certain number of hours that they were supposed to be here, and maybe they were focused on finishing my list, instead of spending time to clean-up, but they could have done a better job cleaning up afterwards. They abandoned one of their shovels in the area that things were being planted and left behind a pair of work gloves. They seemed eager to please and they did check off everything on my list. They got everything done that I was hoping to get done. We discovered, this is something that they wouldn't have been aware of, they punctured an irrigation line. The irrigation guy had to come out and repair that. There was no notification of where the irrigation lines were.

This is my 2nd review because the company came out a 2nd time after doing such a poor job originally. I am grateful for their willingness to come out again for free to do the job that I paid for. The wild flower garden is now fully gone, tilled, and grass seed has been laid. They also did a much better job of cleaning up, although their weeding skills are still not great. They were careful not to trample on my flowers this time, although the damage was already done. The men were very nice and professional, though, and willing to try to go the extra mile for me.

I am sold. Willl NEVER do this again and I will definitely rehire these folks to do it for me.

.When they should to start the job, I had a list of things I thought might be able to be accomplished by 2 workers. The first question out of them was if I knew the owner personally. I showed them the 1st area of interest and they asked if I just wanted it weed whacked or hand pulled. I replied hand pulled and I think that set the tone for the job. After numerous cigarette breaks as well as a lunch break the 4 hours were over. A mediocre job had been done. They did have time to load up some shrubs that my neighbor had been digging up and requested them to haul away after they had stopped their job at my house. I did not confront the workers nor the company regarding this job. I just took my $279.00 lesson learned and moved on. I had read very good reviews about this company and thought it was worth the investment. In my case it was not. Perhaps they 2 individuals sent were summer employees and not permanent workers I do not know.

I bought a big deal for this service. It went good. They came once and are coming again next week. The workers were good and they did work. The area they finished looked good. The mulch is in place and no lying around the driveway or the lawn.

I would give them all A's. They were very good. Their price is the best.

This was the $140 special deal that was advertised in early spring. The scheduling and communication up to the point of the service was straightforward and without complications. They first wrote to inform me approximately when the services would be provided, then again to schedule a specific date and time. They were punctual and showed up on time, and while I was at the property the entire time, they don't require you to do so. Once in the distant past, I had paid a large lawn fertilization company to apply weed control for the summer, and caught them ripping me off when I happened to be at home and watching them at work without their knowledge. As such, when I contracted Parks Tree, I wanted to be there and observe the job for myself - good thing I did. The 2 men did the aeration, and did a decent job with that. In about 20 minutes, they had my 10,000 sqft lawn completed, hitting all of the areas. However, for the next 20 minutes, they hung out in or near their truck, presumably getting information on their next assignment. They never applied the seed that I paid for! Equally disappointing, they left the driveway with a bunch of mud clumps that could have been easily cleaned up in less than 5 minutes using their downtime following the aeration. I left the manager (Andy) an email at the end of the day, and he called me back immediately the following morning and sent his guys back to my house to apply the seed. They also cleaned the mud from the driveway. I can't give Parks Tree an "A" for this specific service, but I definitely give their management team an "A+" for owning the problem and making it right, with urgency. In this line of work, it's probably hard to ensure all of their employees are top notch, but I will try them again in the future simply because of how they resolved the problem.

The service was convenient to schedule and affordably priced for what we thought we would be getting. The contractor was comfortable doing the survey without my wife and I present (necessary since they had no appointments on evenings or weekends when we spoke with them) and we got the report in a timely manner. The report, however, was little more than a superficial examination of only a portion of the trees on our property (advertised as a professional assessment of the health and well-being of all the trees on the property). Seven trees were assessed and the most information we got on any of them was a two-line, typed summary and a four bullet summary of the overall health of the trees. Five trees that straddle our property line (but were close to other trees assessed) with our neighbors were excluded from the report, but this may have been due to not being home to show the representative around. Every tree carried with it a recommended course of action, as well as an estimate for Parks Tree to complete the proposed work, ranging from $50 to $500. At the end of the day, we felt like we paid a company $50 to give us an estimate of work they would like to do for us and have no additional understanding of the trees on our property.

Two young men from Parks Tree came as scheduled and completed the aeration and overseeding in about 45 minutes. They were efficient and cleaned up the driveway after the procedure. I was very satisfied with the job.Parks was also helpful in scheduling the work on the date I requested.

It went very well. Called in advance to let me know when they would arrive and they were punctual. Nice mulch and did a thorough job with spreading the mulch in all the beds.

Terrible customer service. This company refused to return my phone calls. I only received a response when I requested a refund.
