Response from Campbell Plumbing & Drain Cleaning
WOW, completely shocked by this review. Especially because went above and beyond. We arrived on time and had to wait for customer to arrive. Once inside the home we looked at several other projects before we even discussed what you originally called us for. Once we looked/evaluated your leak. We determined that you had a leak on your Main Sewer Stack. Then after discussing several options and pricing with you. You told us to go ahead and fix it. As I recall, you where rather happy with our pricing because you said the last plumber that fixed the same leak charged you almost double. Also during our time we worked at your house, you had asked us to haul an old water heater from your garage that the last handyman left so you could get your car in the garage for the Winter. We happily removed the old tank at NO CHARGE and you even said If you guys haul this old heater out I will give you a good review on Angie's List. As for pricing structure; There are very few parts in the Plumbing world that are $10.00. I know this because I buy them every day. On a side note because I wasn't at the same store you where at I cannot comment on what exactly you where seeing. I can tell you the parts we did use at your house for the repair were not $10.00. As for our mark up or any companies mark up there are several factor that we calculate into every job. Here is a short list below. Health Care, Licensing, Bond Insurance, retirement, Taxes, motor vehicle insurances, gas, uniforms, cell phones, vacations, paid holidays, office staff, service vans maintenance, tools, shop rent, utilities, Advertising (like Angie's list). Furthermore, my pricing model, along with insistence in quality and service has garnered me customers now dating back more than 30 years. One regular customer is now a 24 year customer. I have earned these customers by giving them the same expierece that you had. Scott
