Their only follow up was a solicitation to perform service this year. |Not sure it would be worth the effort to attempt to rectify the problem. Would advise against anyone else using the service.

Description of Work: paid for 3 treatments...was told 2 treatments were performed on the same day. |refused to actually show up for a 3rd treatment...reason because we completed 2 treatments at one time. Rip-off. Mr. T talks a great talk but just does not walk the walk.

Description of Work: Substitute for contractor did initial treatment, incomplete, fertilizer only, was to return. Next person 2 months later, did weed control, the last I saw of them. Contacted them through web site, got automated response that they would contact me. No specific response to my written request. Tried again, same results. By then, fall, I had received 1 of the expected 3 of the applications. I decided, why bother? Not the first time I been taken. In December, they sent a promotional email for 2016. I promptly deleted it. ". . . do it to me twice, shame on me." I hope I was the only person cheated, probably not. What adjustment do I want? Nothing. I wouldn't want to wait for any promised resolution, because I couldn't believe it would actually happen.

Description of Work: I started services with Year Round via an Angie's List deal. The service was rocky from the start as the person who was corresponding with me via the deal all of the sudden stopped returning emails and phone calls. When I finally got a hold of Ti, he assured me that service would begin soon and communication would improve. The first in-person meeting, however, came and gone with no sign of Ti. When he finally arrived, without notice of being late, he said he would rectify things. | |Before I get too much further, it should be noted that I was more than patient with Ti during the initial few weeks of contact. Given my previous small business experience, I recognized that some of the delay was likely due to the fact that he sold more packages than his business could keep up with. I even expressed this to him, that I was willing to work with him for the service I paid for, and that I was intentionally not reviewing his service yet to give him a chance to earn some goodwill back with me. | |Without making this an essay, I can concretely say that this has been one of the least reliable companies I've ever worked with. Yes, the service was fairly good when provided. The problem is that it's inconsistent, and if you actually need to schedule anything with them, requires a lot of work from the homeowner to confirm when the appointment will be, follow-up to ensure that it will in fact be on the promised date, then follow-up again to see why they missed the date and when they would be back. This happened for additional mulching service we paid for, for general maintenance and for aeration that was part of the original package. Yes, I have an email trail for all of this. To add salt to the wounds, Year Round uses a phone answering service and has all emails set to auto-reply. The message for either is essentially that they will return the call or email as soon as possible. My experience is that this typically wouldn't happen until 48+ hours and several other follow-ups from me. | |So, if you intend to hire Year Round for a weekly service without any extras needed (requiring some sort of schedule), you're probably safe to use them. If you intend to hire them to make this a worry-free process, I can't in good faith recommend them.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal this Spring but didn't use it until this Fall. The work they did was good - they worked quickly and did what we asked. However, getting them scheduled was a nightmare. There were 4 or 5 no-shows and each time they didn't call to tell me they weren't coming and I had to inquire about when my work was rescheduled. And weather was not an issue. Toni was always good about responding to my e-mails quickly but communication between she and Ti must have been lacking because they couldn't seem to keep the commitments she was making. Ti seemed like a really nice guy who was trying hard so I hope he can improve his ability to schedule and keep the promises he is making because I found the process terribly frustrating.

Description of Work: Think they were overwhelmed with business. As far as I know I got only 2 of the 3 treatments (measuring that my how many times stay off the grass sings were left - never saw them at any time) Whatever they put on the lawn helped.

+ 1 moreGreat job, with a creative solution that was a fraction the cost of rebuilding the whole thing. And very nice looking. The owner (Tiberius) is very personable and creative in his problem solving. I love 'em and I'd heartily recommend them.
Description of Work: They repaired my paver patio - which had sunken unevenly due to improper ground prep by the previous owner. They uncovered the original conveyer stoop pad and leveled the patio to match it.

+ -1 moreAeration went fine. The men showed up and got to work right away and got it done quickly, I had also asked for a fall fertilization and owner said it was done. I was home during the job but did not SEE them put on any fertilizer. Didn't see any residual granules on the sidewalks, driveway or in the yard. Previous lawn service companies I have used would also place flags in the yard indicating that chemicals had been applied. Didn't see any of them either. Contacted owner and he offered an acceptable alternative of lawn service next year

+ 0 moreI purchased a Big Deal for leaf removal. I was contacted by Ti within hours and we scheduled a time. On that day, he called to tell me his previous job was going longer than expected and asked if ok to come the next day. Since the leaves weren't going anywhere, I was fine with the reschedule. Unfortunately, the next day his car broke down and he couldn't make it to my house. We scheduled for the following Monday and then it snowed! As soon as the snow melted, Ti called and said he'd be over. He and his team made it out yesterday and I came home to a spotless yard! Not one leaf to be seen. The customer service of the old days is back! Definitely would use this company again.

My only negative comment is that I was not expecting them on the day when they did the job. Luckily I was home because they could have not completed the job. + 1 moreI called and talked to Ti about scheduling my lawn aeration. He said he would check with utility company for underground lines and schedule me in as soon as possible. A couple days later he called to say he had an opening the next day. Lazaro, one of his lawn care specialist, showed up the next day and completed the lawn aeration for the front and back yard. The schedule for service worked well because I had just mowed my lawn and removed leaves the day before. Lazaro was polite, very professional and seems to have done a thorough job, as the plugs are everywhere all over my lawn. I am very satisfied with this service and would highly recommend this company for lawn aeration services.

+ 4 moreTi normally would just do the lawn treatments, and special jobs as needed. Well, back in June, I had knee surgery so I wasn't able to do my gardening, which is such a stress buster for me anyway. Well, since we had such a dry summer, we didn't need to mow much anyway. Well, my husband had recently changed jobs and he works 86 miles from home. As fall was approaching, the rain came and our yard was just getting out of hand. I knew from previous experience that Ti charged $25 to mow, and $25 for the garden. (money well spent!). LET ME TELL YOU NOW: I live in a "condo community". Single family homes in a private community. We own the home, but the grass is called "limited common area". I am a board member of this community. Well, if you lawn or garden gets out of hand, you will 1st get a warning letter and then a $25 fine. I sent Ti a text message asking if he would have time to "fit me in" for a mow. I knew I would be getting a warning/fine very soon. Ti was out the next day! He was able to get the yard mowed and trimmed up. I had taped an envelope to my door with 2 separate checks, one for the lawn & one for the garden. Ti cashed the check for the lawn, and didn't cash the check for the garden until AFTER he did the work. He has worked at several properties in this community. He has had NO complaints that I have heard. I checked out his BBB rating, and it is an A+. Ti submitted a bid to be the landscaper for our community. He won the bid. He will be doing snow removal now, and come spring he will be taking care of all of our landscaping needs for the entire community. Even during the long bidding process and submitting/re-submitting information, Ti remained the utmost uprofessional man that he is. He has also kept an eye out for criminal activities as he knows the faces of most of the people here. Not only does Ti do a great job, he also helps to keep our community safer!
Description of Work: Year Round Landscaping has performed several jobs for me. From putting down mulch, cleaning up my garden, pruning, triming, lawn fertilization, airation, etc. The most recent job performed was back in November, and that was just mowing, winter fertilization, and triming/pruning of my garden.
