YEAR ROUND Landscaping

Description of Work: I purchased this as a gift for my daughter. When I received the order confirmation I explained that in the block which communicates directly with the service provider. Most of the history is shown there as emails were used extensively. Emails had no effect so I contacted the company by telephone and explained the situation and tried to schedule service. I gave my daughter's name, address and phone number as a contact point for service. After several days I contacted them again to try to confirm a service date since they had not responded to me. They had no record of my previous call or the service address so I gave that to them again and again attempted to schedule service. The owner called me this week to apologize and said that his crew had come to my house rather than my daughter's house and treated my yard by mistake. I asked him when and he said on the 11th. I was home on the 11th and no one came here and the gate to the back yard is always locked so he clearly didn't treat the back yard. He said he would go to my daughter's house this week and treat it but as of today it has not been done. I don't want to continue these games any longer. I just want my money back.

Description of Work: I purchased the $999 Deal on 2/10/15. At the time of purchase, "Angie" advised I would be contacted by him by 2/12/15. As I hadn't heard from him by 2/17/15, I left him several messages to call me. His only contact with me was not until 3/24/15 (which was already in excess of the 30 Days) and it was to adise there would be an upcharge of $2,125. I responded to him immediately and followed up again on 4/7/15 seeking information on the basis of the upcharge. I understand that my yard is larger than the deal and wanted to work with him to modify services to an amount that was really needed. I had not heard from him so on 4/13/15 began requesting a refund from Angie but was advised that I could get another deal but my $999 would not be refunded due to exceeding the 30 day cash back deadline. On 4/15/15, I requested a deviation due to the circumstances. The next day, 4/16/15, a landscape crew arrived at my house to do work and called me to say they were observing the work had already been done. I again requested a refund and was advised there would be no problem in receiving it. Today is 4/21/15 and I still have not received a call back from Angie's List regarding additional review nor $$$ from the landscaper.

Description of Work: Asked for a call ahead so we'd be sure to have the dogs inside but they just showed up. Luckily we were home.

Description of Work: They were OK. Communications problems was a concern of mine. I wanted extra work to be done. I talked to the office a couple of times and they never got back to me. When they arrived it was not at the time or day we had agreed on. I told the guys when they arrived I wanted some extra things done. They completed the job and disappeared. They did do a good job, but seemed rushed no doubt due to all the "Angie's list" customers on their list for that day. Even though I only gave them a "C" I will give them another chance come fall. I believe they were just overwhelmed with the work load. If I was paying full price I doubt any of this would have happened. Moreover, this is not unusual as many service oriented Angie's deals don't seem to be the same as the full price services these companies offer.

Description of Work: Purchase Big Deal on 3/24. 1st contact was my message left 3/27; no response. I called again 3/31 and scheduled for 4/06. Ty Woods meet with my wife; said all excavation was extra and refused a sample of what pavers were included, stating that they were not good and we would need to choose an upgrade from a catalog. Said he would call us with an estimate. Never heard, so I called him on 4/08 and he said he would work it up that evening. I still have not heard from him. I feel he did a bait & switch. Today I have contracted with another contractor through Angie's List; a Bid Deal with Smart Design Build. We are very please with his consultation, price & service.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from this provider, and received an email from them promptly. I responded thru the Angie's List webpage with my contact info, but nothing. I responded again, once more thru the AL webpage, asking them to leave a message if they didn't reach me, and still no contact from them. They've charged my account for the cost of the deal, but haven't contacted me to perform the work.

Description of Work: The contractor was very difficult to get in contact with and we never could get a person to come out and look at the pending patio project. When you call you don't get the company but a phone service that will relay the message to another person. We gave dates during a few back and forth emails but nothing came of it. I would not recommend this company based on their poor communication and professionalism.

Description of Work: We used a "Deal" and the work was provided for the amount of the coupon, very quickly and very professionally. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I've purchased a Big Deal for Year Round Landscaping for lawn aeration and overseed.

Description of Work: The aeration of our lawn was done in a timely manner even though the weather caused a delay in completion.

Description of Work: They shoveled driveway and steps. Initially they didn't shovel the front sidewalk but after speaking to Tiberius, he had someone out first thing the next morning to shovel the sidewalk. I thought it was a bit pricey, others have shoveled my driveway, steps and sidewalk for $20-$30 in the past but I didn't mind paying the higher price because he had someone out a few hours after I called him. | |I would definitely use him again if I had to but I will be shopping around for a lower price.

Description of Work: It took a few weeks to schedule the service but that could have been due to the weather. My major complaint was that they rushed through the job (lawn aeration). There were too many big areas in the yard that they just missed. I called and they said they would make it right but I haven't heard back in approx 3-4 weeks. Again this could be due to the cold weather.

Description of Work: Ordered lawn irrigation. They delayed doing it because of utility issues. Which turned out not to be true later. The people that showed up to do it spoke no English. So I couldn't communicate with them. It was rather an unpleasant situation.

Description of Work: Aerated and overseeded. Very punctual and professional - I cannot judge the overseeding until next Spring's growth. Some difficult ground to deal with for aerating, but handled it well.

Description of Work: Arrived before scheduled time and aerated lawn. Will use YEAR ROUND LANDSCAPING again if Angie's List offers a BIG DEAL for services I need done.
