Mark Monnette Masonry

Everything turned out great and Mark did an excellent job. He is a one man company and I was extremely pleased with him and his work. He was very prompt and is a kind, personable man who has a lot of experience. He offered several suggestions, some of which to keep the price reasonable. He also did some extras for me which he didn't charge me for, but I was so pleased, I paid for them anyway.

Mark's did a good job with the repairs and we plan on using his services for some additional projects.

Mr. Monnette questioned me about the size of the job and had to admit that he couldn't take on such a large job. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I've spoken to him in the past and have always found him to be pleasant and helpful.

Mark was punctual both at the time of the quote and when it came time for the repair. He was clean and neat and you can't tell there was any work done. The step looks great!

They were extremely prompt. They called me the same day and showed up the next. Everything was very smooth.

I had an interesting problem. My mother who is elderly, needed the above repairs in her garage. She had hired someone and paid him in cash and this person proceeded to take the money and run. I wanted to find someone through Angie's List who would do the work and not try to take advantage of my elderly mother. I called Mark Monette and left a long detailed message about what had happened to my mother and that he was to deal with me and not her. Mark called me back a couple hours later and met me at my mother's house the same day. He looked at the damage and quoted the above price and my mother was so pleased. She had obviously paid this other person much more, but wouldn't tell me how much. Mark then came over the following day and did the repairs. My mother just called me and said he did a beautiful job. He repaired a crack in the driveway and caulked a leak on the front porch, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you so much Mark!!!!!

He understood what we needed. Did a great job. He was 1/3 of the price of everyone else we contacted. Very charming! Nice to work with.

I called Mr. Monnette on a Thursday, described the job. Mr. Monnette called back Saturday to see if it would be possible to come out on Sunday afternoon, to fix it because he realized the urgency of sealing the hole in the garage. Mr. Monnette was very professional and courteous. He completed the work quickly, cleaned the work area, and took the time to give instructions on how to care for the work, even leaving some materials behind if necessary to seal any hairline cracks. I am happy to report it was not necessary to make any repairs, the mortar cured perfectly. Mr. Monnette made time in his busy schedule to complete a small but important job, and I cannot thank him enough.

When he came, he once again explained the what he would do, power wash etc and warned me it would probably take more than a day but I could use the driveway the first night. I had no problem with that. Again he warned me about the grout color. And as he promised, you can detect a different color of grey. But I won't worry for a year. He worked steadily and cleaned up when he finished. Subsequently while visiting a doctor working out of converted home, I encountered him again. He recognized me and asked how I liked the job. At the residence he was hired, at least, for extensive work on an outside flue of a furnace. But the way, comparing what I paid previously for a much simpler job, his price seemed fair.

Mark came to the house on time for estimate and stated what his current backlog was and his estimated start date for my project. Mark communicated very well when original start date needed to slip due to delays in his current project. This was not a problem because I had told him that I was in no hurry. When he did start the job he was thorough and very professional. He constantly communicated the status of the job. The job was difficult due to having to remove bricks from some center areas of the porch and replace them with new bricks, it involved a lot of grinding and hand chiseling to get the broken bricks out without damaging the good ones nearby. I would hire Mark again if I needed brick work done. He stated he specializes in brick patios and drives. My new brick sidewalk looks very nice, and you cannot tell where he repaired the brick porch.

I spoke with them and even gave them my neighbor's contact information because we are willing to both use the same company. I was told that they would be out to our property to give an estimate in no more than 5 days. They never came for the estimate or called either myself or my neighbor back. While he seemed very nice on the phone the lack of response is unacceptable.

Mark told me to look the work over & let him know if there were any problems & that he would come back out to fix them. There were a few spots that he missed and one area of repair that didn't look right when the mortar dried (it was a little lighter than the surrounding mortar). He was attentive & gracious when I spoke to him about these things and he took excellent notes on what I was talking about. He came out within a few days to fix these things, and I came home to find a beautiful job done. I wish all contractors were like Mark.

Great. Mark was very responsive, he came by the same week we called him and was able to do the work the following week. He is very good at returning calls and communicating with you. We are now seeing about having him replace our sidewalks and entryway.

It went very well. We were very pleased with the work as well as the price, in fact we were so pleased we had him do some additional work. He also repaired and replaced some of the brick in two flower planters and a small brick wall. He went out of his way to make sure we were pleased with the way it looked.

Mark was quick to give an estimate, and his price was excellent relative to the other estimates I received. He performed the work in a timely, efficient, and quality manner, and I'm very happy with the result. He was professional and punctual, and did a great job cleaning up.

Mark was prompt to come out to estimate the job. Quote seemed reasonable and Mark really seemed to be concerned about doing a quality job. Work was completed in time frame given and at rate quoted. Very satisfied with the quality of the work. Would definitely, call again.

Very nice and friendly, and accommodating. After the work was done, I had planned to have a railing put up, but the company that was doing that wanted to drill into the porch but I had my doubts. I called Mr. Monnette to ask his advice and he was very willing to talk to me at length and told me not to do it that way because it would endanger the porch. Mr Monette even offered to install it himself.

He was very responsive, reasonable and gave advice on other work that needs to be done. I feel he was honest about the work that needs to be done because it looks like it. He was very quick to get the work done.

He worked with his uncle for the masonry work. He was professional and punctual. In terms of craftsmanship the job was well done. He far exceeded the work of another mason that did work last year to the back stoop. His price is competitive and in line with other estimates I received.
