Mark Monnette Masonry

Mark repaired my brick front steps & walk, as well as my brick patio. He also put down polymeric sand. He did a great job for a very reasonable price.

Mark did an excellent job on our masonry project. Mark was very responsive - both in responding to our initial inquiry and performing the work. He also was very attentive to details. We very much enjoyed working with him and will definitely call him in the future for masonry projects.

Mark added a step at my front door (on porch) to make a really big rise manageable. Then he did a landing from my deck making sure it would not collect water and texturizing for slip resistance. He is also prompt, personable, and a perfectionist. Hire him!

Mark exceeded expectations. I appreciated his attention to detail and workmanship. I had marked a lot of cracks in our brick veneer siding and he color matched the mortar so that the repairs blended beautifully. He repaired everything that I pointed out even though they were pretty minor defects. He did a great job tuckpointing as well and the areas look clean and sleek. Mark is a pleasure to work with and very professional. I can't stop looking at the project, it's beautiful and it makes the entrance to my house look elegant. Mark helped me select the bluestone and he matched the brick to the brick on my house. You can tell he has been doing this for awhile as he is very precise, no mess and clean grout lines.

Mark fixed the brick that fell off the chimney shoulder, as well as the bricks around it. I asked if he could fix a chip off the front step and he mixed up some concrete and patched it like new. He noticed some holes in the mortar on the brick face of the house and he patched those at my request. He is very professional, conscientious, and reasonably priced, even for very small jobs like this. He charged $120. for everything. Great price and very friendly! I would hire again.

Mark did a great job on the repairs. He did everything he said he would. He kept in contact stating when he would be arriving and was on time. He cleaned up afterwards and made sure to show me everything he repaired. Mark was very nice and easy to talk with. I would highly recommend.

The contractor started right away and did a first class job. Cleaned everything even areas he did not have any work. Finished quickly and did a excellent job.

Mark was great to work with. We were getting ready to sell our house and needed to have repairs made to our front brick porch as part of the inspection. I left a voicemail with Mark and he responded later the same day. We discussed the issue and he knew exactly what needed to be done. I sent him some pictures and he quickly replied with a quote. As soon as the weather permitted (this was mid January), Mark was on sight and completed the work - everything passed the re-inspection. Mark was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. It could not have gone any better. The purpose of the concrete blocks was so a car backing up in my driveway could feel their back tires touch the blocks and would know to stop. Mark was really smart as to the several options we had, and we talked extensively as to the best choice. Great price! Great Responsiveness! Mark replaced some bad mortar joints on the front of my house. He called me back on the same day and the price was very fair. He was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him and will call him again for future work.

I have been relying on Mark for 10 years. I have a mid-sized brick walkway, stairs, and stoop. The backyard has a small brick patio. The mortar takes a beating with the sun, rain, and snow and I have a number of large trees and their roots all but destroy the mortar and the occasional brick. Mark comes in year after year and makes it right. I have no doubt that without Mark's services all my brickwork would have had to be replaced by now. Several neighbors have had to have their's replaced and my house is the oldest one on the block. My trust in Mark is so complete that unless Mark has noticed some significant damage that he wants me to see, I just tell him to do whatever he needs to do. Mark's rates are more than reasonable and he always gets the work done as quickly as the weather allows. Mark and my car repair guys are the only two contractors I have used every year, without interruption, since I moved to Ohio. They are the only two that have never let me down, never came up short.

Mark provided a true estimate and time when he would be available to do the step and sidewalk. Both were done when he said that he would and at the price he quoted. I have used Mark for more than 20 years on homes in German Village and Victorian Village. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is always responsive, discusses what needs to be done, and then completes the job on the date that he agreed to do it. Finding a true perfectionist in the building trades today is rare indeed. Mark is one of those!

Avoid. Poor Service. Only looking for money. Mark would not come back to address open items he did not complete unless we paid him additional money. We made the mistake of paying him in full and then found his work lacking in certain areas. When we called him back to address his issue he would only come back if we paid him additional money above and beyond the amount we agreed upon. Avoid at all cost. Use car salesman.

Mark responded to me within hours of my submitting my request. He came by the next day to give me a free estimate. When he called me with the estimate, we agreed right over the phone to have the work done, and he did the repair right then. It was very efficient. Mark was one of the most responsive people I've worked with through Angie's List. Completely satisfying experience.
