It was excellent! The Joseph brothers did a very professional job. Always trust a firefighter! Safety was #1 to them, they were very conscientious of it.

You guys are easy to work with! I like your use of technology for quoting and invoicing. David Joseph and the entire crew are friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable and professional. David came during the spring to quote pruning for the tree but he thought that with my tree's specific situation, that pruning wouldn't be the best option. So, I kept his information and planned to just leave things as they were. Nature intervened and one of the massive limbs to our 100+ year old oak came down and had to be taken care of. David came out right away, assessed the situation, gave a revised quote for the removal of the tree limb that fell at a competitive price. I said yes to having Joseph Tree Service do the work. They were here when they promised to be here and did a fantastic job. Hopefully, our beautiful, massive oak won't need any other work soon, but if it does, I'm sure we'll be calling Joseph Tree Service to do the work.

They did a great job, and was really responsive via email. It was nice working with them.

AWESOME. Extremely professional. My back yard was a jungle and now it looks fantastic. Mr. Joseph and his crew showed up right on time and actually finished a bit early. Really enjoyed having him and his crew in my yard for the day! I would highly recommend them and will most definitely use their service in the future. I felt I paid a really fair price for the amount of work they completed.

Dave was very knowledgeable about all the tree's in our yard and gave multiple suggestions on how to make our yard the yard that we wanted. He was very thorough, explained everything to me, and had an itemized estimate to me within 30 minutes of leaving our property. We will definitely be using them in the very near future.

Joseph Tree Service came out to review the job very quickly and provided an estimate for the work to be done. Work was completed quickly and was exactly as stated. Communication from initial contact, to the estimate and completion of the work was excellent. We will definitely use this contractor again for any future needs.

Working with Joseph Tree Service was excellent. I requested the estimate online and they got in touch with me the same day to let me know when they would be at my house to look at my request. I received an estimate via email, as well as a call where we discussed my request and what was needed. I asked about removing the whole tree as well as trimming it, where they explained that a trim was only needed to remove some limbs and branches away from my house. I greatly appreciated the honesty, rather that just saying I should remove the whole tree. Once I accepted the bid, they discussed when they would be available. They tried to fit me in when they were at a nearby location, but notified me when they were unable to be there. We set up an alternate date, and to my surprise they were able to come out a week and a half previous. I received a call that they had completed the work and it was done exactly as expected and the cleaned up everything. Great service and very professional .

Updated review: Wow! We were initially dissatisfied with this company, per my earlier review. BUT Dave Joseph gave us good reason to reevaluate them. He was distressed with our experience, & bent over backwards to make things right. He apologized & agreed to come back & cut the tree to the desired level, in spite of access challenges. Furthermore, we discussed (& he recommended) cutting the tree to the ground. I said repeatedly that I would to pay the added cost for this. But Dave insisted they would do it at no charge, as a goodwill gesture to make us happy customers. Again, they fit this into their schedule within a week. They cut down & removed the massive trunk amazingly fast through our small back gate. Sometimes, miscommunications & mistakes happen. Seems to me that the real measure of a company is how they address these, & I actually have MORE respect for a company that successfully fixes problems. Neighbors I?ve told the story to were impressed by their reaction. So now I do recommend them & will likely hire them again. Original review: Wish I could recommend this company. Instead I?ll just relate our experience, both the positive & negative. 1. We received a quote from Joseph Tree during the winter. When we followed up this spring, they were able to schedule us very quickly (within a week). 2. We hired them to remove most of a dying ash tree ($860). They did this very skillfully & swiftly (about 3 hours) in spite of difficult access & nearby power lines. It was both compelling & nerve-wracking to watch the high-dangling aerobics. All the tree-debris was cleared cleanly away. 3. Our quote stated that we wanted the tree removed to below the power lines (leaving the trunk for scrambling vines & to obstruct the view). Before they started, I spoke to them to clarify that, explaining I?d like it about 6 feet below the power lines. They agreed, saying they would take it to about the cable line, slightly lower, which was fine with us. Unfortunately, that is not what was done. The trunk was left higher, just below the power lines. This is frustrating, especially since I tried to be sure expectations were clear. When I spoke to them about it immediately, they said it was ?too hard with the vines?. That made no sense, since soft wood vines yield rather readily to chainsaws. (And this probably will increase my cost to remove the remaining trunk later, too.) There is no remedy since my neighbor would never agree to the return of their equipment, see below. 4. When they departed, they left the gate to our yard open, allowing our small dogs to get out! Somehow we were able to get them back in before they were hurt by passing cars or lost. Yes, they knew we had dogs since they barked crazily at them from the windows, & I let both dogs out briefly as they began work. 5. My neighbor contacted Dave Joseph due to some damage to her driveway. Was not present for their conversation, but apparently it did not go well. My husband said he will repair this minor damage & Dave adjusted our bill $50 to pay for material. Overall, we are disappointed customers. We have spoken to Dave about our issues. If you use Joseph Tree, make sure your quote is exactly specific, as verbal clarification doesn?t work. And beware of carelessness like gates left ajar that could imperil your pets.

I must first say that I am hard to please...and I was extremely pleased with the service from Joseph's. I requested an estimate and David responded pretty much immediately. He said he would be able to stop out later in the week to give us a quote. I said we were in a rush as we planned on putting our house up for sale. He said he would try to stop out sooner if he could. I got a call about 415pm later that same day that he could squeeze us in. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a good price. He said their schedule was pretty full for the next few weeks but might be able to fit us in Wed or Friday...Tuesday AM (next day) we got a call that they could fit us in that AM and they were onsite in no time at all. The job they did exceeded my expectations and you could honestly not tell that anyone was ever there. No debris left. Tree looked great and the workers were extremely nice and kind to my 3 year old who was so interested in what they were doing that he must have asked a 1000 questions. After the experience we've had with other companies doing work at our house in the past it was a refreshing to know that there are still companies out there that take pride in a job well done. I would and will recommend Josephs to anyone that needs work done.

They were awesome. I was so impressed with their professionalism and how well they cleaned up when finished. They removed a large dead ash tree from the back yard and trimmed a large tree off the house in front. They kept in constant contact about when they would be there. Great Job!

Responded quickly to my request for estimate; very pleasant and professional; willingly answered all questions and gave honest opinions about work that needed or DID NOT need to be done; workers arrived on date scheduled--worked quickly and efficiently and also were very willing to answer questions. We will definitely use this company again!

I found them on Angie's List and contacted them through their web site which has an on line quote process on Friday 4/11. David came out the same day and provided me a verbal estimate then followed it up with an email with a link to a written estimate. I accepted the bid on the spot and he schedule the work on Monday. The guys came out about 11:00 on Monday and were done by 12:00. They cleaned up the chips and any other brush. They were very professional and friendly. To be honest I wasn't expecting them because it was raining.

I am thrilled with the service we received from Joseph Tree Service. David Joseph provided a very reasonable estimate to remove the trees, with no up-selling ( refreshing!). Although winter delayed the actual work, David kept in contact frequently via phone and email to keep me updated. My husband was home when the work was started and was very impressed with the professionalism of their crew and equipment. They completed removing both trees, including stump grinding and clean up, in an afternoon. To comment on how well they cleaned up, I passed through the area several times before I realized the trees were gone! (My husband made the same comment and he even saw the removal taking place!) After dealing with other so-so tree services in the past, I am very happy to now have Joseph as my go-to provider for the future.

I had a great experience with JTS. Dave was very friendly when he came to give the estimate and he was super knowledgeable. He gave me a great price and included the trimming of other nearby trees. They kept me updated on the schedule for when they could come due to all the snow we had. When they came, they were able to take down both trees in just a few hours and cleaned up the entire area. They did an excellent job taking out the stumps as well. You could never tell they were in my yard if I didn't know they had been here. I would definitely use JTS again!

Service was fast and efficienct. Provided an estimate in a very quickly, scheduled tree removal for a short time later, and performed the work as scheduled. Clean up was immaculate.

Very good service provider. They are quick to respond to website quote requests and had a man at my house within a few days. I traded some detailed emails regarding exactly which trees I wanted addressed and the representative (sorry, I forgot his name) was very responsive and helpful. He even pointed out that although I requested removing a few trees, that it was unnecessary at this time as they have a few years of life left. I was pleased with the entire process and will use Joseph Tree Service again in the future (probably to remove those almost dead trees next year).

I contacted David Joseph Tree Service via their website where I wrote a description of my situation and requested an estimate. I promptly received a response and, within the week, an estimate was emailed to my house. I contacted them arrange a date for the work to be done. Their crew arrived promptly and got right to work. They completed as much work as they could on that day and another crew arrived the next day to complete the job. It was obvious that their was excellent communication between the two crews, because they also got right down to work. I was thoroughly impressed by their responsiveness and the quality of their work. Not only did they do a beautiful job, they did an incredible job of cleaning up the limbs and associated debris. I would strongly recommend these guys -- they were friendly, professional and did excellent work.

Dave emailed the estimate immediately after reviewing our property on 8/6. After accepting his estimate, he said that they would be out on 8/26. On 8/26, his crew arrived and completed the job in just a few hours. Clean up was outstanding! I would not hestiate to hire Joseph Tree Service again.

I contacted the provider to provide an estimate to remove a large broken branch and to prune the maple trees in my backyard. When they came out for the estimate, they explained that it is not a good idea to prune maple trees, but to 'raise' them. They explained what they meant by that. I also followed up with some questions via email, which were answered promptly and completely. After meeting with another provider, I decided to go with Joseph Tree Service. When I contacted them, they put us on their schedule for early the next week. They came out as scheduled, and did a wonderful job. The trees look great, and they cleaned up very well. Other than how the trees look, you could not tell anyone had been there. We are very pleased with the work done by the provider.

The estimate was done within just days of my making the request -- well in advance of other estimates that we received. Their bid was competitive. They answered all my questions in advance of the work and arrived, on schedule, on the date that they had committed to do the work. We asked them to do some additional work while they were here, and they were able to accommodate our asks. They did a nice job cleaning up.
