I did an online quote with pics and no visit. The guys who came out were very friendly and hard working. Being busy that day, and bc they said i didn't need to be home anyway, I didn't thoroughly check if they got all the pieces I needed in the pics when they were done. Later that week I did notice there were some big branches still there which I had requested removed. The initial communications about this took some time, but once we came up with a plan to come back out on Jan of this year, they said it would be free even after I offered several times to pay some of it. They came back and really cleared things out and didn't charge me anything. Again the guys who came out were great. This company did me right and stood behind their service. Very grateful.

The estimate was good and done in a professional and timely manner.

These trees were in the garden beds at the front of my house. I was worried that they would leave holes in the beds and piles of cedar chips in my black mulch. However, I could not have been more pleased with their work. NO holes and NO chips. It's like the trees were never even there. Great service and great cleanup. Very impressed. Plus, their quote was high tech, precise, had aerial photos of my house with arrows identifying the trees in question, and specific photos of each tree to be removed so there was no doubt we were on the same page. You don't expect a tree service company to be high tech, but their proposal made all of the other companies I contacted look like amateurs.

They arrived when they said that would be here. Evan and his crew were courteous, professional and hard working.. They came on the day after the snow arrived. Everything was covered with snow and it was very cold. We watched, fascinated, as they cut the tree and dropped the whole thing it in my backyard. It fell between my house and our shed and touched not a thing! Once the tree was down, two of the crew cut off the large branches and made piles. While they were doing this, Evan drove the "tractor" and picked up the bundles and hauled them out to the road where they were put into the shredder. The trunk was cut and hauled out and loaded onto a truck. All of the leaves were raked into piles, branches were moved to the shredder and the stump was being ground up. They used a blower to move the snow to locate the surface roots that were in the yard around the tree. Unfortunately, I had to leave at this point. Evan said they would work on the surface roots they could find but if I found any more when the snow was gone, to call them and they would come back and get them. When I got home, it was hard to tell that there had even been a tree back there! Everything was gone, the ground smoothed over. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone. I emailed them about the tree. They responded immediately and came out within days and sent me a quote. The tree was gone the next week. The price was very fair and less than we expected.

Joseph's provided an estimate of work to be performed within hours of visiting the site. The estimate included aerial photographs indicating which trees were to be removed, and detailed descriptions of work to be performed. Upon acceptance of the estimate, Joseph's scheduled the work in a timely manner. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. Workers were very professional, careful and respectful of property. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future should the need arise.

I had three trees that needed servicing. My big maple in the front yard is quite old and did not have many good branches left on it (so I thought) and I was wanting to cut that down. I also had two smaller trees in the back yard that needed "trimmed" (in layman's terms). I received estimates from 2 companies in addition to Joseph's Tree Service. Joseph's Tree Service was two-thirds the price of the other two companies, and, before giving me a written estimate, they called me to ask why I wanted to cut the big tree down, I explained that I didn't think it had much life left. After speaking with Zack on and off for several days, as he schooled me in not only the professional terms and meanings along with his thoughts on keeping the tree, we decided to save the big Maple tree, which again cut my costs. Josephs Tree Service pruned and "crown cleaned" the Maple and we will now fertilize it once this year and probably once next year. They advised that they will come out again next spring to see how the tree is doing but they were confident that the tree still had a good base and just needed some fertilization. No other company gave me options or explained the process prior to giving me estimates. This company is so professional and at no time did I hesitate to contact them via email or phone to ask more questions. They put the customer first and made sure that I was happy with their work. I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future work and I will be happy to give their name out. They were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to our continuing work on my Maple. Joseph Tree Service was recommended by a friend in my garden club. They were very professional when they came out to give us an estimate and did not try to oversell things that did not need to be done--the way several other companies did. When the pruning was completed, we were pleased by how well things were cleaned up. They came out again in the 2nd week of September to do the fertilizing because it was finally cooler.

This is an update to my review posted on August 5, 2015. Initially, I was not completely satisfied with the work done. The river birch was still too close to power lines and the stub from a limb that blew off in a storm was not removed. After posting my review, Joseph and Nathan contacted me. They listened to my concerns and made an appointment to come back and complete the trimming to my satisfaction. Today they returned and I have no complaints. They have gone out of their way to meet my expectations. I'm impressed. Thanks.

This is to update my review, Joseph Tree Service. They have returned and worked very hard to complete the job to our expectations. Through the entire process they have been very professional. We have worked through the various miscommunication and the job has been done to my satisfaction.

I can't say enough good things about everyone I came into contact with from Joseph Tree Service. From the expert consultation to the efficient and extremely well-done service, I was more than pleased. My very-hard-to-impress neighbor, who was involved because a tree removal crossed the property line, was even impressed. I called Joseph because 2 years ago I had a question about one of my trees, and they advised me that there was nothing to worry about at that time. So I feel confident they give sound and knowledgeable advice.

Recently, I had Joeseph Tree Service remove a huge cottonwood tree that was close to, and leaning toward the front of my house in Worthington. To complicate matters, the tree was close to another tree that I didn't want damaged in the process. I also asked them to keep their heavy equipment off my newer driveway and they took pains to do so. They did an amazingly good job. What impressed me most was the skill of the work crew. It was apparent that they were professionals who knew what they were doing. Their clean-up during and afterward was impeccable. Not a twig or a leaf was left behind. And to top it all off, their quoted price was about a thousand dollars less than the bid I got from another tree service. If there was a rating higher than five stars, I would give it to Joseph Tree Service. I would definitely have them back, and would highly recommend them to others.

They were fantastic. They left very little debris in my yard, I could hardly tell they cut down any trees.

They were very responsive and very knowledgeable. They tried to do what was best for the tree as well as the customer. They were very easy to deal with.

Joseph Tree Service gave us an estimate a few days after I called to request one. He spent a lot of time explaining why certain trees should be taken out and why our oak tree would benefit from being cabled. He also said that it would be better to come back in the spring when the leaves were out to decide what should be pruned. We ended up going with his recommendations. He was able to fit us in a few days after we accepted the estimate. The crew that came to do the work finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up all the debris that was left after the job so that you couldn't even tell that any work had been done (especially since the trees that were taken out were in a bed of ivy that covered the stumps.) Joseph's wasn't the cheapest, but I felt that they know what they are doing and care about the long run health of the trees. I will call them again to came back in the spring to see about pruning.

First, these are professional arborists. In addition, they were fast to schedule and stop by for an estimate. The wait for the actual work was quite reasonable. I was very satisfied with the work and the cleanup. They might not be the cheapest, but I think I got full value for my money. Here's an example worth considering. I originally wanted whoever did the work to remove a large, relatively low limb to open up that section of the yard to more sunshine. That, of course, would have meant more work and a higher price. He said not to do it (no need to sort through the reasons here). That was the answer of a pro.

Arrived at 7:45 AM on a cold day and got right to work. Extremely efficient and safe work crew. Very professional in every way. Cleaned up nicely after doing a superb job. The ground up the tree so that we can use the chips back on the yard. I am so happy with them that I am writing this review the same day instead of thinking about it for a few days like I usually do.

I am extremely happy to have used Joseph Tree Service. Dave Joseph and his crews were prompt, professional and did an excellent job with our landscape. We had Joseph Tree Service prune three large trees in our front yard and three trees in our backyard and provide nutrients to some of the trees that required it. Dave?s explanations and suggestions were clear and thoughtful. Unlike other quotes we received, Joseph Tree Service was not interested in making more money by whacking at every tree in our yard. Rather, Dave, explained why he would leave some trees alone and what service he would recommend to correct our problem areas. The crews were friendly, professional and easy to work with. They made sure that we were pleased with the work before they left and they did a thorough clean-up. Working with Joseph Tree Service was a completely rewarding experience. Rarely do you find a company whose knowledge, capability, professionalism and service all warrant the highest marks.

The guys did a great job. They had come out earlier and discussed what we wanted done. They provided an estimate and gave us a date when they could do the job. They showed up on time and after reviewing the work we wanted done began work on the trees. Two of the trees were in the back yard, which was difficult to get into, but the guys were very careful and maneuvered into the backyard carefully and were able to get the trees trimmed and cut while being careful of the house, the fence and wiring. After the trees were cut, they did an excellent job cleaning up. When they were gone, if was if the two trees they cut down were never here. The yard was all picked up from leaves and branches and disposed of. i would definitely use them again.

They responded very quickly with their estimate , and sent a follow up email asking if I had questions. The only reason I didn't use their company was because they were priced higher than the other two quotes I received, but the company gives off a good vibe otherwise.
