Dave and Michael did an awesome job of removing a very large (dying) oak tree in our backyard in Grandview, Ohio. Before making the decision to use Joseph Tree Service we had received 2 additional quotes from respected and recommended Tree Service companies in the Columbus area. We choose Joseph Tree Service because they have a great website, they gave us the best quote, and I trusted they would take care of everything promised after speaking with Dave. Dave and Michael are both super friendly; carry themselves in a professional manner; and demonstrate a lot skill with their equipment. Their experience showed when they made removing a large oak tree by our garage and a lot of utility lines look simple. It was clear that safety was of the utmost importance. They used quality equipment and methodically executed a good plan from start to finish. We are thankful that we choose Joseph Tree Service!

I called and Dave came out right away to give an estimate on the removal of our dead tree. We scheduled a removal date which was changed several times due to weather. Dave always gave plenty of notice to change the date. When the tree was finally removed, they not only removed the tree, but all of the winter debris in the courtyard. My only complaint was that the stump was not level, and I planned to put a planter on the stump. I emailed Dave, and within a few days he came and leveled the stump. He really wanted to make us happy and we were!

They were wonderful. They did a professional job. Came when they said they would. Besides the tree damage, they cleaned up other tree debris. Their price is reasonable. They also looked on my roof to see if I had roof damage.

Company uses email for communication and promptly us following the initial contact. I received a notification when estimate was ready via email, I did not have to be home for the estimate. I confirmed the estimate online and received a call to confirm the appointment date after discussing a few options. Because of the workload on tree services being in very high demand following the high wind damage caused by hurricane Ike, it took some number days before they could come out, which is understandable. Several companies didn't even bother to return my call when they were swamped. Instead, Joseph Tree Service called back, informed me of the scheduling delays and asked me if I still wanted to get an estimate given the situation. Joseph Tree Service came on the appointment day with the proper equipment to complete the job. When we used other tree services in the past, the tree removal was one day, and stump grinding at a later time. We appreciated that Joseph Tree Service performs all of the quoted work in one day. They took the tree down very safely and carefully, being concerned about the surroundings. The Joseph Tree Service people are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We will definitely hire again if we need additional tree work.

Earlier in the summer Joseph Tree Service installed a flexible cable in a 65+ foot Hackberry located in our back yard to stabilize two large branches forming the tree s primary canopy. After the September storm, however, the strong winds created a crack in tree s primary trunk, also tightening the once flexible cable. Although the cable probably prevented a major branch of the tree from breaking, the storm nevertheless created a very unstable situation. If the cable broke, a branch could possibly fall on either a house or garage. Although the cost was high, Joseph needed to use a bucket truck to carefully remove each large branch from the tree. Complicating the situation was the fact that the truck needed to be parked in our neighbor s back yard. It was also necessary to navigate power and cable lines while maneuvering the bucket from our yard to the drop site of each branch that was cut from the tree. Once the tree was down, Joseph removed the stump and cleaned up both our yard and our neighbor s yard. Our neighbor was very pleased with the measures they took to minimize damage to his yard. The Joseph brothers are very professional and skilled at what they do. In addition they re very polite and friendly, exceeding our expectations on what we considered a very complicated job.

Joseph Tree Service came on the appointment day with two large trucks similar to those you see electric companies bring around to trim electric lines. Three guys did the work. They took the tree down very safely and carefully, being concerned about surrounding fence and plants. They cut down all low and damaged branches, hauled away all wood and debris taking care not to damage either the lawn or other plants, even blew the sawdust from the yard. All three were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They took time to walk me around the yard and answer my questions and make recommendations on other trees. I will definitely hire again if I need more tree work.

This is the second job Joseph Tree has done for us. They are very professional and committed to delivering good customer service. They are well equipped and well trained (all are firemen).

They came to my home and gave me an estimate and that is what I payed. They did a very professional job and cleaned up everything before they left. The service was exceptional and I would definitely use them again.

They arrived on time. They removed the one tree plus the stump. They cleaned the other tree up. They also cleaned my yard and alley of all waste. They even cleaned my garage roof. They are the nicest people I have ever met. They worked hard to clean and asked me to check it over at the end .

I called for an estimate on removal of a 30 ft pine tree from my front yard. They came out and left me an estimate within 2 days. Although they were not the cheapest estimate, I chose them because they would grind up and remove roots that had grown on top the ground around the tree. I never had the pleasure of meeting them but they were very pleasant to deal with on the phone. They came and removed the tree and debris while I was at work. When I came home from work the tree was gone and I could not even tell they were there. My neighbor commented on what a great job they did. I received the bill in the mail about a week later. Very nice job. Would definitely hire again.

They answered my call right away regarding a tree on my house but were so busy they actually gave me the number to someone who could do the work sooner. Very cordial would use them if happens again.

After the wind storm, they came out promptly to give us an estimate and got us on their schedule. The tree removal was quite difficult, and they handled it with true expertise and professionalism. Everything was cleaned up perfectly as well. We cannot say enough about what a tremendous job they did!

I had gotten the estimate, right before the wind storm. I did not have phone service, so they drove over to my house to notify me that they were going to do the job as fast as they could. It really impressed that they took that extra to notify me what was going on, because I had no working phone. They did a great job.

They were so good. They cleaned up my alley, my yard. I couldn't ask for anything better. They were on time and polite, beyond excellent and very reasonable.

Joseph Tree Service did excellent work. They arrived on time with professional equipment and tools and performed the work in about 4 hours. All the work was completed as agreed and performed in a most professional manner. I have used many tree services over the years. Joseph Tree Service is by far the best.

They were very professional, attentive, clean, efficient & quick. They did a great job. They even removed stumps & debris from when we tried removing bushes ourselves.

After my initial call, Mr. Joseph called and told me when he could give me an estimate and came exactly when he said he would. He was able to do the job within a week and said I did not need to be here when he came. I was gone when he removed the tree and he did a great job. You could not tell he had been here. Clean up was amazing. I believe my driveway was cleaner than when he arrived. I will hire them again if needed.

Services performed exactly as described, they even came out a few days before planned.

The gentleman wrote up an estimate *very* quickly; I was able to get an estimate within 36 hours of initially calling them ("A" for punctuality and responsiveness). The estimate included a note to call the estimator as he was recommending complete removal of the tree instead of trimming the tree. I called him and he told me I had an ash tree and that I had a major "borer" problem (not emerald ash borer - some other type of borer) and that I would be wasting money by trimming the tree. I was disheartened to hear this as the tree is an old large tree in the backyard and would take a LONG time to replace. I had called several other tree service companies for estimates on trimming. I called all of them back and asked them to give me estimate on tree removal instead. I had three other estimates, all three of them identified the tree as "box elder" and not "ash." Furthermore, although I did have some borer infestation on the box elder, in none of the other companies' opinions was removal required as the infestation was not severe and not threatening the tree itself. Two of the other tree companies told me that tree removal was an option but definitely not the "strongly recommended" course of action. I graded "quality of work" as "F" since I cannot overlook a tree service company not identifying a tree correctly.

It was excellent. They came a day earlier than originally scheduled, which was nice. Their cost was excellent. They cleaned up well after themselves. Instead of telling me what to have done, we were able to negotiate to find something in my budget. They don't fertilize trees, but they gave me good advice about who to hire for that job.

The Joseph brothers have always done an extremely safe and professional job each time I have called them. They also clean up the work area very neatly when the work is done. I would recommend them any time.
