We are very pleased with the service that Smith's provides. With their treatments and helpful advice, our lawn has improved considerably over the past few years. The grub control applicaitons have been particularly effective. Alan Smith has always been very helpful when asked for advice as to what to do about certain issues. Calls are always returned in a timely manner. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. They always use a blower to rid the sidewalks and drive of any fertilizer.

Our yard is like a golf course and people comment all the time. The prices are very reasonable... esp. considering I never had a lawn service before Smiths. I had only heard horror stories. I think I got his name originally from Angie's List.. They have an ongoing annual contract and take care of everything. Love it.

The company was very quick to respond with an estimate of lawn treatment for the season. In fact, the first application was down even before I had received a bid from another company. I have no doubt about the quality of the work to be done nor the expertise of the owner, but just couldn't justify the increase in cost above what I had been paying to a guy no longer doing lawn work. I was surprised that the company representative felt the need to post a response to what was otherwise a positive review. But since he did, and apparently thought it necessary to clarify, I will as well, particulary since one of his facts was incorrect. I told him that my longtime (more than 10 yrs) lawn treatment company no longer does lawn treatments. I had been charged $45 per application. After Smith's did application #1, another local company quoted a figure less than that of Smith's. With either choice, I was going to be paying quite a bit more than I had for years, so I decided to minimize somewhat the increase I would incur. Within a few days of the treatment, I contacted Smith's to let them know of the decision and promptly paid them. I find the use of the terms and quot;complainingand quot; and and quot;cheatingand quot; offensive, particularly with the use of quotation marks for the word and quot;cheating.and quot; That word was never used in the phone conversation and my tone was not one of complaining, but simply one of informing them of my intention to go with a different company. I have been an Angies's List member for several years, and the vast majority of my 50+ reviews, like the original one for Smith's, are highly positive.

We have been using Smith's for a couple of years now. They do what needs to be done and there are never any problems. They offer extra services and advice and there is never a hard sell. They don't leave a mess and always arrive on time. They send us a note of what was done for the month and what to look out for in the next month. I see various lawn services on our road and Smith's services a few of our neighbors. We have had no problems with Smith's and we will probably use them again this year. We initially went with them because they had the best price.

It is too new to say how they are doing. He seems to know what he is talking about. I have looked at the yards he has done in our neighborhood and he seems to have done a good job. So far it has been good but it is too early to tell. I don’t have any issues right now.

They apply the basic fertilizer / grub treatment. Have used for the last three years. They charge extra if your lawn has a disease or other problem which my yard has for the past three years as well.

I pay them depending on the treatment. I paid them over $1000 in the fall, after they did fertilizing, landscaping, shrubs, trees; etc. They are excellent. I will continue to use them in the future.

Grubs had killed a good part of our back yard. Mr. smith came and killed the dead grass and reseeded.

We have always been very happy with Smith's Lawn service.

Smiths has been taking care of our yard for years -- about 6-7. He told us up front that he wasn't just out to make our yard "green"... but to build it up and get it in good shape and it would be green. He was right. Our yard is thick, green and plush. It is wonderful.

GREAT results! Lawn looked 100% better after 2nd visit. By fall, neighbors gave me positive feedback on the remarkable recovery that the lawn had made. Smiths's people did great! They were fast, quiet and clean. Sidewalks blown off after granular applied, etc.

The weed control product that is used in the flower beds is awesome - weeds are nearly non-existent. Our lawn is healthier and dandelion free - even though our neighbors' is filled with dandelions! We've never had any problems with the company and have appreciated their expert advice. Would recommend them without any hesitation. The services are a bit expensive, but obviously we've thought that they are worth it because we continue to hire them each year.

This is our second year using Smith's Lawn Service and we couldn't be happier with the results. We had previously used a national lawn service and had some issues with their service. So, at the beginning of last spring we hired Smith's to take over. Our lawn immediately improved and by the end of the summer we had the greenest and fullest lawn on the street. Several of our neighbors commented on the lawn and asked what service we're using. Highly recommend!

Smith's Lawn Services has been handling our lawn fertilization and tree/shrub care for several years. We've had good results and enjoy working with this company. The owner usually comes to our house, but sometimes his assistant does. They're good about letting us know how our lawn is doing. They're very responsive when we have some type of problem or question. I think the pricing is very fair for the lawncare, but I wonder whether or not we really need all of the tree/shrub applications. Regardless, we're more than satisfied and will continue to use them.

I've been extremely pleased with Smith's since we started working with them several years ago. They do excellent work, as evidenced by our very healthy lawn. They are typically performing service while we're at work but occasionally I catch them (usually one person) and speak with them about issues we may be having. They are always helpful and take the time to explain things and offer suggestions. They give us a "report card" for our lawn each visit, indicating any concerns they see (such as needing to raise the mower blades or some patches of leaf spot that will clear up in a week or two). They are easy to contact with any additional questions, though I often have to leave a message as I believe Mr. Smith is commonly out doing evaluations or actual yard work. We plan to continue to use Smith's lawn and tree service for years to come - they do an excellent job and offer pre-pay and loyalty discounts.

The process went well. Allen Smith does an excellent job caring for our trees. It didn't take him long to apply the insect control, and I am confident in the quality of his work.

I've been using Smith's since I moved into my house in August of 2008. They do a fantastic job! My lawn is very green and the grass is much thicker than it was before they began treating it. I frequently get comments from passers-by, particularly because my neighbors on either side have lawns that look like dandelion farms and mine usually has only one or two. The thing I like most about Smith's is that they do not have a one-size-fits-all solution for your yard. They treat specifically for the issues they find with your yard and only in the areas that need it. I highly recommend Smith's for anyone looking to get a green, thick, lush yard.

My costs varied depending on my needs. I cannot give a precise amount spent/year. This is just an estimate. I had used another lawn service and was not satisfied with results. I chose Smith's Lawn Service and was very pleased with his work. He paid attention to the details and left me informative notes so I could know his suggestions and what the plan was. My lawn was mediocre when I first hired him, and after a year, it was looking very good. I kept his service for the next two years until I relocated for my job and sold the house. I suggested to the new owner she should retain him. After 3 years of his service, it was a very healthy looking lawn. Neighbors would comment about how nice it looked. He took my mediocre lawn and made it a stand out.

They are here when they say they are going to be here. They do what they are supposed to do. The lawn looks appreciably better than the way it looked when they started. We have an annual contract with them. They charge $500 a year. It is around $60 for one visit. They do a couple of other things like insect control.

The price is right and they don't try to up sale a lot of services. Most importantly they do their work silently, they don't call and harass me like some of the bigger commercial companies. I have used them for a year and plan to continue to doing so.

They are very good. When have dogs you need to know when the lawn is treated. This company does call to let you know ahead of time when the lawn is treated and asks for me to call back to confirm with them when they leave a message.

They do all the work as expected, so, they are very good.

I like that they provide personalized service and that they write notes about my lawn. There is consistency within the personnel that does the lawn each time. They are on time, do a nice job and the price is reasonable.

I used them all last season. They were punctual and seemed to do a thorough job. The price listed is for 6 treatments.

We have used Smith's for the last 3 years and will continue to do so this year. The grass has always been very green/healthy in the spring and early summer with no noticable weeds. We have had trouble with fungal disease in August during the last 2 years which has required treatments. Despite our best efforts at following instructions regarding mower care and lawn watering, this has been frustrating, but we do not think this is a direct reflection of the company. We do wish there was a way to be more proactive in preventing this.
