They did a fantastic job installing the backsplash and were flexible when the stove hood was delivered late and came back to finish the final work around the hood. They were good at communication during the project and have great workmanship.

They were absolutely wonderful to work with. I received a return phone call almost immediately and Steve came out the next day to give me an estimate. I had to have dry wall replaced with another vendor so we decided on a date they would install the tile. They came as promised and did the job in the time they quoted. They laid out drop cloths and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company.

We needed to replace a vinyl floor in a bathroom with ceramic tile picked out a tile from Hamilton-Parker in Delaware. They recommended Long's Flooring for a contractor to do the installation. Steve Long came out to take measurements to give us an estimate for the job. He brought along his brag book of jobs he has done and we were quite impressed with his talents. So we agreed to have him do our job. Steve and his partner, Mike, tore out the old vinyl floor, including the luan underneath, installed new backer board, and laid the tile. They were both very attentive to details and asked us about our preferences for laying out the tile. The job included installing a new toilet as well to replace a twenty five year old water hog. Although we had previously agreed to not put coving in the bathroom closet, they surprised and delighted us but putting it there anyway because they thought we would like it. We did! They were in and out in two days (had to let mortar set before grouting the tile the next day), cleaned up after themselves and did a very professional job of which we can be proud. We will use them again for our next tiling job.

Steve and his bother did the installation of the sub floor, tile, and all grouting work themselves. I talked to numerous installers and could not find any were going not planning to sub-contract the work out to someone else. The work was completed on time and on budget. Steve allowed me to be involved in the color of the edging trim (which was important to me due to the transition of the tile onto a hardwood floor), the size of the grout lines and even the overall layout of the pattern in the space. I am very pleased with the work and I would not hesitate to have them out to the house again for a future project.

How can I say enough good things about Steve and his crew? Even from the initial estimate, we knew that Steve was our guy, we had other estimates come in slightly cheaper, but only Steve showed up, project photo album in hand, offering more expert advice, guidance, and suggestions than all of our other estimates combined. Steve displayed a true passion for his work, and was ready and willing to work with us through every step of the project. We had worked with Hamilton Parker to pick out the perfect material for our floor and backsplash. We later came to find out that Steve Long also has an 'excellent' working relationship with Hamilton Parker, and was quickly able to work with the supplier to obtain our materials (and a quote for the materials) as soon as we were ready to proceed. Long's Floors is a family company (which Steve is very proud of) and it certainly showed in the professionalism and courtesy shown by every member of his work team. By the end of Day 1, not only did the floor layout look amazing, but Steve, his brother, and his other relatives made the process both fun and enjoyable. This was one of the last projects in a significant home remodel, and I can honestly say this has to be one of the best crews in Columbus for anything, not just floors. What about the finished product? I couldn't be happier. Steve was a straight shooter with me from the start, and every step of the way explained how different pieces would fit together, showing me pattern options, how grout colors look different in sun and shade, and explaining how cut edges of ceramic vs. cut glass will give different finishes. If there was a decision to make, Steve would give his professional opinion, but left nothing to be assumed. The end result was an amazing, pinwheel-patterned floor, with a white subway tile backsplash w/ a glass accent. With such a large pattern, and small kitchen, Steve's team took precise care to ensure the pattern was cut and laid to give the most dramatic effect. Steve ran all glass tile up to the ceiling behind the range, giving a dramatic focal point to the kitchen. I had very high expectations set for this job, and Steve Long exceeded them! One thing to keep in mind: Steve Long is a busy guy. I would suggest planning at least 4 weeks for a similar-sized project. In my case, I told Steve I wanted it done yesterday, and he worked with me to send guys over, even if for a half day, to get my project started as soon as possible. He even was able to complete it in a little under one month. But trust me, it is worth the wait!

High quality work was performed. The floor was done according to his schedule and looks great. My only disappointment was that he agreed to purchase the tile (using his contractor discount) and then charge us a small amount over cost. Unfortunately, the cost of the tile added to our invoice was higher than what was quoted to us had we bought the tile directly. Despite my request to obtain a copy of the invoice for the tile, none was provided. Had I to do over again, I would not have paid him until receiving a copy of the tile invoice to validate the quantity and price of materials.

In an attempt to get a quote to replace carpeting and install new wood flooring in a room in our home, I made numerous calls to several dealers listed on Angie?s list. It was frustrating, unprofessional and time consuming. Unfortunately, this is a common and recurring issue with most of the trades people we?ve called in Columbus ranging from electricians to plumbers, painters to remodelers. Being a business owner for more than 4 decades, I simply can?t explain why this is so widespread in Columbus. I called Long?s Floors on a Tuesday afternoon to request information and a quote. No one answered the call and I was forced to leave a detailed message on the company?s voice mail for Mr. Long. After three days, no return calls. We?ve moved on.

I contacted Steve Long in early February to get an estimate on tiling my kitchen backsplash. He responded within a day and met with me at my earliest convenience. We discussed ideas for a pattern and also the issue of part of my wall not being plumb. He gave me an estimate that day. About a week and a half later he called to check in and see what I had decided. I informed him that I would like to hire him and gave him the dates I could do it. I had already bought the tile so we didn't have to wait on getting it ordered. Last week Steve and his crew came in and knocked out the job in two days. I had decided on my pattern which ended up being the best solution and he agreed with me it would look best. Steve had rethought the issue with uneven part of my wall and instead of mudding out they ended up sanding/cutting off drywall to even out the area as best as they could. It will never be even but only I can tell where the spot was now. They did an excellent job. The crew Steve,Ron and Mike were very friendly. It was an enjoyable experience. They really seem to love what they do. Once they got started they knocked it out. Mike came and did the grout the next morning while Steve had a meeting. Steve came in to finish up everything. They made sure they cleaned up the mess and were very professional. Mike even raised the legs on my stove, I had not even noticed it was uneven. Thanks Steve Long and crew. I love my backsplash!!!

I met Steve Long for the first time in 2008. I had just completed a bathroom remodel, and I was having problems with the shower pan. The general contractor and tile subcontractor who were involved with the bathroom project would not come out to look at the shower. I received Steve's name and number from a local tile supplier. Steve came out to the house, looked at the tile in the shower, and determined that the shower pan was not properly installed. Steve would not accept any money for his time or the trip to my house, and the general contractor did not hire him for the repairs. In October 2012, I did a kitchen remodel, and I contacted Steve Long to do the tile work for the backsplash area. I couldn't have been happier with Steve and his crew -- excellent quality and the group is extremely neat and clean.

We chose Long's Floors to do the remodeling work for our two small bathrooms, and we are glad that we did. Everyone on the crew was very professional, and they clearly took pride in their work. They were easy to work and communicate with. We were also pleased and impressed with their daily efforts to keep the work areas clean. It didn't feel like we were living in a construction zone. Steve and Ron Long have been doing tile and remodeling work for over 30 years. We felt confident that their level of experience would really help since our home is over 50 years old, and we were right. They helped us anticipate and manage problems in every phase of the project. For example, they creatively solved some cabinetry-related installation problems that could have been very costly if they weren't handled so well. The tile work, which is their speciality, was outstanding, and we are delighted with the results. Our remodeling experience with Long's Floors was positive and the cost was also very reasonable. We enjoyed working with everyone on the crew, and we would definitely work with Long's Floors again.

EXCELLENT WORK! Steve and the guys started precisely when they were scheduled. Steve clearly communicated with me before, during and after work. They were very clean and detail oriented. He was competitive on price and finished in the number of days quoted to me at the start. I was very pleased and will call them again if I need something.

Invited Steve to bid on job. Showed up on time. Discussed concerns over outdoor tile longevity. He had experience and recommended techniques to cope with oudoor exposure. Offerred 2 year warranty. I bought tile and grout materials, then schduled Steve. We adjusted schedule to accomodate weather. He showed up with brother and nephew. Installation went well -- good clean-up. One day to lay tile, next day to grout. Job done.

As far as I am concerned, it could not have gone any better. Steve Long and his employees are a pleasure to deal with. Very professional and courteous. I plan on remodeling another bathroom and am planning to call them for an estimate.
