Description of Work: I ordered custom wood window replacements for my front attic windows in my historic home in June 2014. They got the windows in around October, then misplaced them in their warehouse. They did not call me to let me know the windows were in, despite several follow up calls and emails by me. The windows were finally installed a year later. They did an ok job, and I understand custom wood windows do take longer to build, but this wait was ridiculous. I will never use them again.

We are very sorry for the unexpected delay in the installation of this members window. The order was for1custom wood window in her attic and it was returned it to the factory the first time it was received because of a problem and then when it was finally remade it was lost in transit which caused an even longer delay. Know one benefits from installation delays. The customer does not have a new window and we do not receive payment until the job is complete. We did apologize to the member for the delay and and also gave an additional discount for the inconvenience.

Description of Work: After having visited a home show and listening to several companies touting window replacement needs for our 15 year old home I asked Empire to come out to do a competitive bid. They were prompt in scheduling and on-time for the appointment. When the gentlemen came to the door he said " I have already done a walk around of your home and was wondering if I was at the right address. Your windows are fine--they are not up to todays standards but if I were you I would not replace them" No charge for the time and trouble yet he saved me thousands of dollars by being honest. When it is time to replace windows or use any of their other services, Empire will be first and foremost on my list.
