Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

It went well. They were a bit pricy, but they were timely and responsive.

They did a great job. They came very quickly. I don't have any additional costs.

I used them twice. I had an additional $125. They did the services and came out quickly. They took care of the problem the following day. Angie’s List called them prior to them getting the email of Angie’s List. They went into the computer system and saw that was in there then they came out the very next morning. They have a very quick service. Their work is satisfactory. Everything is working, as it should. My interactions with them were very good. They were polite.

I used them quite a bit. They come in to clean the gutter once every 3 years. They are a quite a good company to work with. What they did for me recently was a fairly easy job and nothing complicated. So, they did the job in less than an hour.

Great! James (546) came to my condo and replaced two valves until my spare bathroom. He was courteous, professional, great attribute to Roto Rooter.

Repairman, David, was pleasant and helpful. Knew immediately what needed to be done. Only problem was he was approximately 2 hours late from the time the company said he was on his way. I understand that it is hard to give an exact time when you. need to finish a previous Job. All in all I was very satisfied.

We had two problems; leaking faucet and replacement of trap, all kitchen sink. Guys replaced faucet but had to do extensive work to repair jerry-rigged repair done previously. After they left we discovered new leak. Next day different guys came out to correct, and no additional charge. Much appreciate the great service!

Provider was on time, very professional and brought booties to protect my light colored carpet. He did an excellent job installing the faucet and attaching water supply to the refrigerator. If I were just rating him, I would give him an A; however, the prices that his company charge are much higher than I expected. I had to add money to pay for part of the installation.

The extra charges started even before they were inside the door. I was told it cost 269.00 to clear a kitchen sink. I would receive 100.00 off the second drain plus I needed to use their enzyme maintainer cleaner 58.00 for a total of 427.00-(70.00 coupon)=357.00 to clean two drains and enzyme. That is a total rip-off. Last time I had this exact service done two drains was 191.00 and it only took about 45 minutes. It was cheaper to call someone else and get done what I wanted without all the high pressure sales. I hired a plumber not a salesperson.

Overall, the repair went smoothly, and the end result was a repaired leak. The plumber and his assistant/apprentice were neat in appearance and were very polite and professional. They took great care to ensure that the carpets, walls, etc. were in the same condition at the end of the job as they were in the beginning. The plumber was very conscientious in the instruction of his apprentice, ensuring that he was wearing proper attire, safety equipment, etc. at all times, and gave him a lot of good advice about what to do, what not to do, etc. I'm an engineer, and spent a fair amount of time offering unwanted advice, suggestions, etc. on how best to accomplish the work and, to their credit, they displayed absolutely no frustration at my micromanagement of the job. Room for improvement: 1. My initial appointment came and went, with the promise that the plumber was currently "wrapping up another job and would be on his way shortly". Two and one-half hours later, I cancelled the appointment and rescheduled for first thing Saturday morning. The team arrived at the tail-end of the appointment time. 2. As is standard practice with Roto-Rooter, the plumber arrived with absolutely no supplies in his van other than five or six sets (exaggeration) of drain cleaning machines, despite the fact that the work order clearly stated "repair leak in water heater pipe". I mean, what plumber shows up to a job without the basics (e.g., several sizes of copper pipe, various fittings and valves, a functioning torch)? They indicated that they would have to go out and purchase the necessary supplies (a piece of 3/4-inch copper pipe, two 90-degree elbows, one coupling) before returning to complete the job. Amazing. 3. As usual, pricing is stratospheric given the amount of time spent on-site.

He did a great job on the faucet repair and noticed a water pressure problem that he easily fixed as well.

Thank you for sending James to repair my outside spigot. He did a wonderful job and I highly recommend his work. He was courteous and patient with me. I will go back to Roto-Rooter and ask for James in the future. He introduced me to your pipe shield. Now I feel good about my new condo knowing I can clean my own drains without damage. I no longer have a leaky spigot. It made my day!!! Thank you, James. He did a thorough and quick job.

Technician came out within 2 hours of my first call. Faucet was installed very quickly, working great. I was very relieved they were able to send someone out on a Sunday, as the old kitchen faucet was leaking. I would use them again in the future.

While they cleaned out the drain, additional sales were the name of the game. In my opinion, scare tactics were used to line up future (unnecessary) work. As long as you can tune out the noise, they can clean out your sewer drain. More expensive than I expected, but they arrived the same day and got the job done quickly.

The two men that came were very great and respectful of my home. Quick service, they were out within two hours of the call.

We called June 10th and scheduled a septic tank service. They said they'd be out between 8 and 10 am on Thursday (June 12). When they didn't appear we called and they told us that their truck had broken down and it would be another week at least. I don't even know if they were planning to call us or not. This was surprising as Roto-Rooter was a reliable company but we haven't had to use them in over 20 years.

They were at the house within an hour and the drain was cleared within an hour of arrival. Thrilled at the timeliness of the response and the speed at which the work was done. Not too happy about the price, but the work is finished.

Good. Very quick response. I called and 30 minutes later they were there. The service tech was very helpful and told me what he was going to do and worked with me to keep the total price down. The problem was they charged $200/hr. I had purchased an Angie's List $79 for $250 in labor coupon, thinking that should cover two to three hours of labor and thus my entire project. But at $200/hr, it only covered a little more than one hour. Way too expensive for a plumber. I've used others in my line of work at $80- $90/hr.

I thought the pricing was a little high. I originally had them come out because I was just going to have them snake the line and they told me that I had a blockage trouble by the tree. They were a little bit high priced. However, it seems to be pretty good but they left dirt piles a little bit afterwards. I liked the workers, I didn't like the salesperson.

Mike Anderson was like the White Knight to us. We had water backing up in a basement drain. He was there early next morning. Wheeled in a monster machine, then brought it down a flight of stairs to the basement. Afeter he cleaned out the line, he sent a camera down it so that he could see if it was clear. When he was all done, he hauled the machine up the stairs and back to his truck. He seemed to enjoy his work and enjoyed explaining what he was doing. If all Roto-Rooter employees were like Mike, WOW what a company

They responded quickly to our call. It took a couple of days and three people to diagnose the problem and suggest a solution. We were told guys would be here around 8AM to start on the work, and that it would take a day to do. The guys got here at 4:15 and worked a couple of hours. They were back the next day, but did not finish the job. They didn't run the line where they said they were going to. They had to take down a part of our fence to get the backhoe in. They never did put it back, even though they promised to several times. After nearly two weeks, we did it ourselves. It seems we were lied to every step of the way.

They were fantastic and did a wonderful job.

Water lines broke and water heater was part of the issue. The plastic lines the contractors installed in my house were crappy PVC and in a million different angles. It took Roto-Rooter several attempts and days to repair the broken lines. The whole process was time consuming and in a cramped area. It took more than one trip however they always came out and fixed what needed to be. I could tell that they were getting frustrated with the situation sue to the way the house was built, howere they kept pushing on. I really do appreciate their help.

It was a expensive, but necessary fix. The service was exceptional.
