Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had four people from eco plumbers and they could not get it working saying we needed all this work done which would cost us over $2000.00 Mike from Roto-Rooter came out and had it cleared in no time. He was very nice and explained everything. He was great to work with.

No, made lots of nice talk, but in the end they talked their way out of it. Kind of felt like they just wanted to tour my house....

They were able to come out quickly to assess the issue, then schedule the work. The work was performed quickly, but they did have to come back and fix the drainage issue, as they had set the drain as one of the high spots in the basement, not the lowest. So, while it works, it looks odd and I’ve got a drainage tube in a weird spot.

Poor job. Removed asbestos floor tile in places, and they are not licensed to do this. Over-charged for things not done. After review from experts, I was double charged, basement left in ridiculous mess, and they lied to me about what my insurance would pay. My health was put at risk. They were paid what the expert calculated the charge would be, and now they turned me over to collections, and put a lien on my house, and I will take them to court to have this undone. I have found out, they are known for taking advantage of older women.

line cleaned, then ended up swarmed with people for water damage, water mitigation services. Insurance accepted their proposal, the water mitigation guy installed 6 fans into a power strip off one outlet then blew the breaker. Their specialists offered in upgrade or install new sewer line for the cost of 6,000 to 50,000$.

Asked for an itemized invoice and found many charges for work that was simply not done. Had to photo document and contact Roto Rooter Corporate Customer Satisfaction to get an invoice that reflected the work ACTUALLY done. We were long time customers, but no more. A company should be able to invoice for work actually done. A customer shouldn't have to go line by line and photo document that the work really wasn't done.

Fine but roto rooter is too expensive

They were great. They were there on time and were very professional. They cleaned up everything and they tested the drains to make sure they really got all the stuff out of them.

They are a little expensive. I placed the call, I got a response very quickly, and they were out the same day.

It was okay. Once they got the contract, they communication wasn’t that good. For instance, when they were supposed to pick up the equipment, the guy got pulled for another job and nobody called me to let me know. I sat home all day waiting for them to come and didn’t know why they didn’t show up. At least give me a call to let me know why they are not coming.

We have not had much problem. The toilet is still running slow and still not flushing down the first time. We are holding the handle down like he said. We thought it was a little overpriced. It was, like, $185 just to snake one toilet; it was a little pricey. I would tell a friend to call around and get pricing.

This service was wonderful!! ?They came out for a free estimate the same day I called them. ?They gave me a fair estimate for the job and proceeded to do the work on the spot. ?The service man wore booties to protect our floors the entire time he was there. ?He started the job at 1:45 and finished at 8:00. ?He was very polite and courteous and very straight-forward with his evaluation of the situation when he got on scene. ?He also did a free, courtesy inspection of the rest of the piping in the basement and pointed out potential items that may need fixing in the future. ?We were very pleased with this service call and with Roto-Rooter. ?Roody, our service man, did an amazing job. ?Thank you.

The service was really good. I have not had any problem with it. I am sure that I could call them to come and inspect it and they would do so.

We used a $50 coupon from the website so we ended up paying $125. Friday, the girl that came out to do it said she got it unclogged, but she didn't. We called them back and they sent someone out the next day that did unclog it. The guy who came out the next day admitted that they don't train their employees. He did an okay job but I have to grade them lower because they do not provide any training for them. They sent someone out here who had no training. He said it was her second week on the job. It was her first week by herself and she received zero training on it. The night before they could not come because they got pushed back so we had to reschedule for Friday. The people that actually came were friendly. I would tell others to choose somebody else that trains their employees. They were supposed to come within our time window on Thursday but called instead and said they would be unable to make it and that it would have to be later. They did come within the window the next day during that time frame. The workers that came out were nice. The first one did not know what she was doing. The second one did and he fixed the problem.

Rick Hall was our Roto-Rooter Field Technician (#3730) -- he was AWESOME!!! Rick arrived to provide drain service and wouldn't even step inside until he put his shoe protectors on (even though I told him we were covered in dust from another project we were completing in the house!). After seeing and hearing what our issue was, he explained what he would do to correct the problem, and told us up front how much the job would cost. He also explained if, along his repair journey, he found that extra work or cost would be needed he would be calling in a supervisor to come out and insure things would be done above-board. Wow....how great to know his plan of action! Rick let me know as he worked what was happening, and more importantly WHY it was happening, explaining (at one point) what could be keeping the blades from progressing in their journey down the pipes they were supposed to be cleaning out and my different options and outcomes. He DID NOT pressure me to choose a service option, he actually PROVIDED THE OPTIONS and the possible outcomes of each option. When I did not choose the most extensive option he offered, he still provided the service I requested with the epitome of professionalism. When he left, my utility sink was draining like never in the almost 10 years since we have lived here! Not only that, he left the sink/floor area where he was working as clean as I would have cleaned it myself. This was a first for me!!!! I am sooooooooooo pleased!

Roto Rooter tried to flush clogged drain and discovered mud in line. found collapsed drain area. He made all necessary contacts to begin excavation of collapsed area for next morning. Excavation began promptly and professionally. Very happy with all people involved in this massive endeavor. New line installed and camera inspection completed on entire system. Fortunate no other problems disvovered.

The call for service was easy and quick. The plumber (Brent) arrived promptly within the promised time frame. He was polite, professional, and explained things well. The job turned out to be more extensive than we thought and other service men were required, but he always made sure we were informed step-by-step. The work was done at my elderly mother's home, and he was friendly and patient with her.

I had tile laid in me kitchen, and unknown to me the tile person washed out his bucket in my kitchen sink. Three days later, when I used the sink the disposal would not work and the sink barely drained. It was full of hardened grout. Roto Rooter came and replaced the disposal and drains and ran the camera and snake. It took them 7 hrs to do everything and had 3 techs here at various times. The were all polite, professional and left everything clean. I don't know the cost as the tile company paid the bill. I have used Roto Rooter several times and will continue to use them as my plumber of choice

Mike (Tech number 1063) was very professional and did a great job explaining what he was doing. I had snaked the pipe earlier in the day (my snake was too short to reach the clog) and also applied caustic pipe cleaner. Mike explained the risk of caustic agents and provided an alternate product more suitable for a pipe system that has some original galvanized pipes. While just under $400 for 45 minutes of labor is far from cheap there is a certain convenience about being able to schedule an appointment in the morning and have somebody out by 3 pm. Next time I will probably spend my 400 bucks on a pro-grade snake and hold off on calling in case of a true emergency, but I am still very happy with the overall experience. You truly get what you pay for.

Josh roe was very professional. Explained everything in detail. He worked diligently until everything was fixed properly. He then cleaned up after himself which was greatly appreciated.
