Service Tech Roody G. was excellent!! Very thorough! Took time to explain situation to me, and showed me how to care for sinks and drains in the future. Tech was very careful to keep mess to a minimum, and even cleaned up the area under the sinks. Just a super experience; we will ask for him in the future as he has been extremely helpful!

It went very well, I bought an Angie's List voucher and the just owed the difference so it was about $166. I called and they were there within 1 hour. The Technician was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. A great combination. I would definitely use them again. Only there about 1 hour or so and it was fixed to my satisfaction! Thanks!! Jeri

They do a very good job and in fact the big job they did took 13 days. They had to completely replace my sewer line and it had rusted out. They are excellent and the men who do the work are very nice. I would highly recommend them.

Washing machine is draining, but normally I hear a sound of water falling through the waste pipe while the machine drains. I do not hear that sound which kind of makes me think that it will not be long before I have to call him back. I believe that $279 to snake out a drain is excessive....

made appointment for Saturday from 8 to 12 a.m. called twice to delay due to truck problems.finally showed up at approx.2pm.gave me estimate of $724 to pressure test lines & repair leaks.he did inform me that there was a coupon available if I signed up for angies list and pay $79 I could get a discount of $250 .I was very relieved to hear this.he finished the repair but said he did not know how to turn on the water heater & the furnace.he informed me that I would have to call the gas co. to come out &turn on the appliances not wanting to pay for the repair until I was sure that everything was working correctly I suggested that maybe the gas lines needed to be purged before the gas would be flowing,so he said that might work.he did this & lighted both of the appliances. I thought that he should have known this & seemed to be confused about what to do.my feeling about this job was that I paid a little too much to get the job done.however the coupon for $250 was very welcome in this emergency situation.I do have a years membership in Angies list and will probably use it if I have another emergency

Everything went very well. The tech explained everything he needed to do and completed the work.

I was out of town during the latest "polar vortex" attack of really cold weather ... when I came home ... I found my kitchen drain was plugged. (frozen?) I did all I could do as a homeowner (clean trap, use my own short snake, etc) but to no avail. I called Roto Rooter on a day that was ugly weather-wise but they still were able to respond and get my situation resolved quickly. Jim explained to me how far he had to snake and what the possible issues may have been and was on his way. All ratings are A for service and quality ... the only B is price ... seemed kind of high, but considering the type of day, the responsiveness, and quality of work. I did get what I paid for... :)

He called twice to let us know that he was held up at his previous appointment. when he arrived, he completed the service thoroughly and in a timely manner.

This turned out to be more of a job than originally looked to be. The technician hung in there and got the necessary items to fix the problem.

DiscountsCalled Roto at 615 for clogged drain and phone service said technician would arrive within hour. Tech showed up at 930 and ridiculed us for not knowing what we were doing and that he would have it taken care of shortly. Gave me a price that I felt was too much 269 and I asked about discounts and he told me about angies list. After agreeing to let him do the work he spent an hour and a half then said he couldn't finish and would send someone out at 130 the next day. New technician showed up at 530 was very professional and completed job in roughly one hour.

Roody the Roto-Rooter service technician was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. He performed the task in a timely manner and cleaned up after he left. I felt he was honest and easy to work with. I would call Roody in the future should we have any plumbing needs.

Didn't have functioning water for over two weeks due to clogged pipes and bad valves. Since this was our first home purchase, we were very stressed out with our situation. Unlike other companies who can't show up for weeks, Roto-Rooter was here within a day. The technician was awesome, and he did an excellent job replacing the old galvanized pipes with copper. Our actual bill would have been closer to a $1,000, but I was lucky to find a nice coupon on Angieslist that saved me $500 in total labor. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to afford the necessary repairs at this time. I will be doing business with Roto-Rooter again for my plumbing needs. Thank you!

Tim Forsthoefel was my technician he was nice & polited & professional,he did a excellent job he was responsive,prompt and answered all my guestions.

We had 2 plumbers. The first plumber could not weld from his truck. A second plumber was called. I had got an estimate after the plumbers reviewed the work for over $450. at one point the plumbers needed a different part so I went ad purchased the part from Menards. we were concerned about the bathtub/shower trap. I tore out the ceiling in the room below and it was apparent the trap was leaking. Additional work was required, I bought the parts. At the end of the work the price had doubled. I was told cutouts were mandatory and the inspection caused the price increase. I didn't understand why that information could not have been included with the original estimate. There were two technicians one senior and the other more junior. After talking with both plumbers it was more unclear. They did good plumbing work, I just need accurate job quotes.

Josh Roe Tech # 1932 was very professional, courteous and respectful during his time in my home. I explained to him I was on a fixed income and he told me about the coupon available to me on Angie's List. Without this coupon I would not have been able to have the wok I needed done. The first tech that came out from Roto Rooter quoted me a much higher price and didn't bother to tell me about Angie's List. He also did not seem to be as knowledgeable as Josh Roe.

It was fine. My only complaint was that they were expensive but they are all expensive. They charged $295 for 15 minutes of work so I say they are expensive. My only complaint was their price. They have a flat rate of $295 as soon as they walk in the door. Depending on what you need from that point on, they start tacking on. I didn't have any problem with their work other than that. The price was ridiculous.

The work they did was very good. The guy they had in charge of it was supposedly a contractor for 15 years. I wasn't impressed with him at all. The people he had working for him each day did all the work and told him what to do. I was impressed with his co-workers; they knew what was going on. He should have known what was going on since he was in charge. They did a very good job on the work they did. They were unprepared for the job itself. They had to run to get things which was supposed to be a couple of hours. Then they called and said it would be the next day. They were 2 or 3 hours late the next day. It really went into a longer than necessary job. The work was fine. The price was a little higher but it was okay. The guy that came in and quoted it did a very good job. I was impressed with him. They were very professional.

Long story short. They quoted one price and charged a different price after the service was performed. It's criminal. I will complain to the better business bureau about this as well.

I called to request a quote for backflow prevention device certification, which is required by the county. Unlike every other place I called, Roto-Rooter will only quote that in person. We scheduled a service call for an 11-1 window. At 12:50, Roto-Rooter phoned to say the tech was delayed on another job in Huber Heights. (That is nearly 30 minutes from our home.) I tried to explain my frustration that, at 12:30, R-R already knew that the tech would not be at my house within the scheduled window, but I did not seem to make much headway with the representative. The gentleman still did not know what time the tech could actually come. I said to keep me on the schedule, but that I might or might not be able to wait (an indefinite amount of time!) In the end, nobody called or came that day. Very disappointing. Now, I have received an email saying that *I* cancelled the appointment and urging me to reschedule. I already found someone else who: 1) quoted me a reasonable price over the phone for very standard work; and 2) completed the work the next morning, without me having to be there. I give them a "D" only because of the politeness of the first person who initially scheduled the call.

There was about $600 additional. I was very disappointed because I felt like I was mislead by them. It was a very misleading ad and I was very disappointed. I would never use them again. It was the first time that I used them. They were here for three hours. The guy who did it was very fine. I would give him a good review on everything but the pricing. I would never ever recommend them to anybody either because of the misleading ad that I responded to.
