I had several Contractors to come out to evaluate my home Furnace and AC needs (Trane, Carrier, Bryant, etc.). All were very responsive. Out of all of the quotes, the Trane quote from Extreme One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning (which I recieved and was coordinated via Lowes of Huber Heights) was by far the best value. They were extremely knowledgable, explained several options that were out there, thier recommendations, and were very flexible with my schedule. They even discouraged me from a more expensive system they provided that I wanted, explained why it wasn't worth it for me as the benefits didn't outweigh the costs, and listed out possible problems it could cause me. They showed up for the installion on time and called ahead to remind me. They did an outstanding job with the installation, explained the process before theystarted, updateded us throughout the day, and left the area cleaner then they found it when they were done. Update as of 1 June 2013: I stand by my original comments for my initial installation experience with this company, but I have to say it am currently not too thrilled with their service to date. The new furnace worked great throughout the winter, but when we went to flip on the new AC for the 1st time, it didn't work and just blew air. I called towards the mid-late afternoon and they really didn't want to come out and fix it since it was late in the day and asked if they can do it later. I agreed to a later time and they came out a day or so later, I think because the next day was Sunday. It turned out to be a coolant leak on a new line that they installed. They fixed it and the AC worked great for about 2 months. I e-mailed them in the middle of the night and called them 1st thing when they opened because the unit was just blowing air again. The thermostat read 78 degrees on the main floor and it had to be 80+ and humid on the second floor. They couldn't confirm a time and just had me on standby. They came out around 3 PM and replaced a burnt out contactor, a bad relay, and something else. It worked for only a few hours and I place another call this morning and am still waiting on them to come out. I hate to complain because they are always friendly and courteous, but this is the 3rd repair call on a brand new unit that they installed only about 7 months ago and only been in use 2 months. My wife and 2 young kids have to suffer through this and I am military with very little free time. I have a long list of things to do today and instead I am still waiting here in a humid uncomfortable house for repairman for the 3rd time on a new unit. They need to fix it this time or replace the unit. Update as of 3 June 2013: The company came out again and the same parts burnt out and they said I have a bad compressor. They don't keep the parts in stock and had to wait until Monday to deal with TRANE directly to find out when they could get the part and were shooting for a repair of Tuesday or Wednesday. Today I recieved a call from the company and the part will not be in until Thursday and the earliest they could install would be the following Monday, 10 June 13. They won't address swapping out the unit with me, only repairing it. They don't seam to care that I have my wife and my 2 kids (1 & 3 years old) stuck at the house for a week and a half without AC. I am really disappointed in the quality of the AC unit I recieved, a new unit really only used 2 months and am not pleased with the lengthy time of repairs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this week will be cool and pleasant, like it was yesterday, verses the prior days that were hot and humid with us sleeping downstairs with the kids crying that they are hot.

I am very pleased with the service. The appointment was easy to schedule, and I received a phone call to let me know the technician, Jeff, was on his way. He arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He welcomed any questions and concerns I had - which was nice because I always have a lot. He wore booties on his shoes to keep the house clean and sealed a hole that was left unsealed by a previous company. I feel he was very straightforward and honest, and I am confident that we are ready for winter. I will use them again for future service.

Very pleased! I purposely waited 3 months after our new Trane HVAC system was installed to write a review after a season of experience. After a very hot summer, the new Trane HVAC system installed by Extreme One Hour last May has exceeded our expectations! Back in April during the HVAC off season, I obtained quotes from the five top rated companies. Our old Carrier furnace/air unit was 20 years old, still working ok, but I wanted to get educated on the newer high efficiency and two stage systems so I would be prepared in case the old system suddenly failed down the road. I learned a lot by reading and talking with the five contractors. In my opinion, Trane was the best all things considered, followed closely by Carrier, Bryant, and then Lennox. After some thought, I decided to buy a complete new system from Extreme One Hour. Living with the Trane air cond system for 3 months now, we are very satisfied. The new system is quieter, cooler and more efficient, our large home is very comfortable. Their price was very competitive. Extreme’s Sales Manager was very knowledgeable and customer-oriented, the installation crew did a nice job working with a difficult layout and tight space. Bottom line, Extreme One Hour was excellent in all aspects. Highly recommended.

My a/c went out on 3 July in the middle of the heat wave. I had been told (by another company) during spring a/c check that it was old and struggling to keep up so not entirely unexpected. I Called Extreme One Hour on 5 Jul, since they had great Angie's List rating and an acquaintance recommended them. Larry worked me in that evening for an estimate. Great quote for Trane HVAC system. Was originally scheduled for a Thurs, 12 July install but received a call from Larry to say they could move up the installation to 10 July. Crew arrived right on time and did a fantastic job. They were professional and knowledgeable. Explained the equipment and answered all my questions. Highly recommend this company! Great customer service, great product and reasonable price!l

A++++++ from beginning to end!!! It is always a very big decision when spending a large amount of money and we feel very good about our purchase. We also bought the extended warranty (included in the price quoted at the top) for our unit so that even labor is covered for the next ten years. I feel we are worry free with our purchase for a very long time.
Description of Work: We had a new 2 1/2 ton Trane central AC unit and coils installed in our home. The guys at Extreme's were exceptional from start to finish. I had done a lot of research on Angie's list before even getting estimates from multiple companies. Ed came out and gave us an estimate and he was one of the best priced but also very professional and well informed. He did a great job answering all my questions. We made the decision to go with Ed and he set everything up very quickly. The guys came out to install and were on time, extremely friendly, professional and clean. Except for a very cold house a person would never know they had even been here. They cleaned up after themselves and left when Ed came back to inspect their work. He was as pleased with them as we were. Ed sat down with us and gave us all our paperwork and answered any questions we had and then was on his way so that we could enjoy the rest of the day.

I've been a member of Angie's List for years. When my boyfriend needed a new furnace and air conditioner I volunteered to look on Angie's List for a reputable contractor. After interviewing several and obtaining estimates we decided to go with One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning. They were not the lowest priced, but did offer what we thought was the best product and warranty. We were also impressed by the professionalism of the company rep, Larry. The company representative came out on Thursday and work was scheduled for the next day, Friday. The workers, Bill and Chad, came out on time, and the rep, Larry came as well. Work commenced immediately as they began dismantling the ancient furnace. The day was full of dire weather predictions, and because of that I kept the TV turned to a local channel all day. I told the workmen that although we would really like to see the work finished that day, if they needed to go home to be with their families to please do so. They elected to stay and finish the job. As they went up and down the steps I tried to keep them up to date on coming weather predictions. The old units were hauled away by a man who collects scrap metal. We felt good about this. The men cleaned up well after themselves and took away all boxes to be recycled, another big plus. Late in the day the weather changed and tornado warnings were lifted. Larry came back to check everything, which was perfect. I can't say enough about this great company! The house is the most comfortable it's ever been, and we are looking forward to the larger air conditioning in the summer. We would definitely recommend One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning. I'm going to sign a service contract with them for my condo, and if I need a new furnace or air conditioner I will definitely call them.

This is the first company I have used from Angie's List. Extreme's One Hour took off wires on my furnace, and replaced some of them. They were able to squeeze me in at a lower price, but he wanted to charge me a higher price. I said I would only pay the lower price, and he agreed to that. The man doing the work was disgruntled about the lower price. Overall, the company was straight forward. I feel like I got a fair price. I wasn't completely happy with the experience.

Quick response from initial call. They were one of three companies that I asked for an estimate on repairing my existing furnace or purchasing a new one. The representative was prompt and courteous. He presented several options and answered my question thoroughly. I had just experienced the death of my mother and he listened patiently and with kindness as I told him about that. This companies bid was the most competitive and my experience with the representative was very positive. I had no heat in the house in mid-January and was concerned about water pipes freezing. They brought in space heaters to ensure that wouldn't happen. The scheduled the installation as quickly as possible, arrived on time and did an outstanding job with the install. They cleaned up after themselves and left me with a high degree of confidence when the job was finished. I will absolutely call them again when I replace my central air conditioning. Highly recommend this company.

I called Extreme's because the fan on my furnace had stopped working and they found a new fan which was a hard-to-find part. The quality of the work was excellent, and if anything came up, or they needed to adjust the schedule, they were very good about calling me. I even decided to enter into a contract with them to clean my furnace because they did such good work!

Highly recommended. ALL team members were conscientious, courteous, thoughtful, clean (e.g. never failed to use shoe booties in the house) and on-time. Very supportive regarding our mortgage bank's and insurance company's documentation requirements plus my decision process/criteria on whether to replace only the coil or the entire unit - insurance only covered the coil which required a separate evaluation/estimate. Special kudos go to LARRY MILLER who, with just under 24 hours notice, was able to slip our scheduled installation 2 days in order to accommodate a personal conflict I had gotten confused - it was "my bad" and Larry made it good.
Description of Work: Completely replaced our home's air conditioner (new unit). The prior unit's outside coil was damaged in the May 2011 hailstorm. We chose to replace the entire unit rather than replace/repair only the older damaged coil.

They were available immediately to provide a quote and begin work. The service techs were very polite and were readly available after the install for questions. The owner inspected the final work and was also available for questions after the install. They did an excellent job cleaning up the mess and my house looked like it did prior to the install. The system has performed as they indicated and I'm very happy overall. I will use them in the future and recommend to my friends.

I called and talked to Rhonda @ 3:10 pm requesting a service man to come out to find out why my A/C was not working. She scheduled Jeff to be here at 4:30, which he was. Jeff found the problem, fixed it and was gone by 5:15 pm. He explained the Comfort Club membership to me but I declined. Jeff was not pushy at all and was very friendly and knowledgable which I appreciate. What a great experience.

They seemed to do a decent job, but my experience with them was kind of a mixed bag. I liked the price, and the guys were friendly enough when they were here. I have a dropped ceiling in the basement, and they left a lot of debris there. They left some stuff in the garage and did not finish cleaning up. They left a space heater and extension cord here and also a whole bunch of PVC pipes in the front yard. It seems like everything is working fine. They also sent me a fruit basket, which was definitely a nice thing that they did. I would use them again in the future, but I guess I need to keep an eye on them a little more than I did before.
Description of Work: I used Extreme’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning for heating and air conditioning work.

I found them through Angie’s List and I think they were the best one on the list. The person who came out was really helpful. I didn’t do business with them because of the air conditioners they were selling even though we needed a new one. They also didn’t list their prices and we didn’t have an idea as to what each unit cost. That’s the main reason why we didn’t strike a deal at the end even though they came out. The person explained everything and everything was good except at the end we had to see how much it was. Besides that, everything was pretty good. My impression was generally pretty good. It was for my father’s house and he knows a little bit of the mechanical and electrical things. So, he kind of knew what was wrong with the unit. I think most of the air conditioning people just want to sell you that product instead of concentrating on what’s actually wrong with it and fixing it. It was the salesperson who came out. I rate him to be pretty good, but he was not very technical. They did answer my questions. I may not consider them in the future because I kind of know the price now.

We do carry all major brands however we have found that Trane carries a variety of models that address most of our customers’ needs at a reasonable price. Also we have up front no gimmick pricing so the Comfort Advisor should have provided you with a quote (on paper) laying out your options (good, better, best) and total cost including labor. It is wonderful you and your father have heating and air conditioning knowledge and I hope you had an opportunity to share that with our Comfort Advisor, many times they try to keep it simple and educate our potential customers and not confuse or overwhelmed them with technical terms. Our Comfort Advisors are NATE Certified and should be comfortable discussing their mechanical and electrical knowhow. Overall purchase and installation went extremely well. Very pleased with work and have recommended them to friends.
Description of Work: I was gathering quotes to replacing furnace and central air unit. The sales manager was very professional and provided a competive quote. After checking them out on the BBB, decided to go with them. Again they were very professional and courteous and patiently explained how to program the thermostat to run the system. A few months later, I smelt a faint whiff of natural gas. I called them and they came out right away. They found an older gas coupling that was causing the problem and replaced it on the spot even though it was not part of their equipment for NO COST. We will continue to business with them again.

The Air Conditioner stopped cooling around 11PM on a Thursday. We found One Hour Extreme on Angie's List and contacted them. Someone answered the phone and called us back within 20 minutes. We set up a time for the next day to have the A/C unit examined. We need our dual capacitor replaced and some refrigerant added. The Service guy was excellent. He not only explained everything to us, but he also showed us why he was doing everything he was doing. I would definitely use them again. No one likes to have repairs done, but this was one of the best repair Services that we have ever had.
Description of Work: The Dual Capacitor was replaced, refrigerant was added, and the system was cleaned.
