It went great! Paul Lyons and Logan Washburn did a fantastic job. Our ducts were filthy, including blockages caused by mold and dust; they both worked diligently for hours to get them sparkling clean, including using a chemical to kill any remaining mold. One of the guys showed my husband an issue with our furnace (it was seated incorrectly when installed), and provided a temporary "fix". Making the appointment was quick and easy; everything was explained in a clear and friendly manner. We have noticed improved air flow and much less dust throughout our house since then. Would definitely recommend this company!

They diagnosed something we did not call them to do despite the fact we were very specific verbally and in writing to what a technician was supposed inspect. When I called them, before hearing me out, the secretary rushed to immediately stated that she will send a technician out, there is a $89 fee. It was obvious that she did not even care to hear what we are requesting. Her only concerns was that the technician get paid $89. After noticing that she did not pay attention to what I was requesting, when an appointment was created, I made sure that I repeated -in writing- what the technician was to be there for. Still "the technician did not do what we called him for", or stated that "he is not capable to do the work". He just did something of his own and rushed to collect the payment with no requested report. Hence, we seek either, our money back or a requested report.

Ms. [Member Name Removed] I personally spoke to you several times on the phone before and after our service all. It was clearly stated before we arrived that the only way we could determine how smoke was getting into your residence was to come out and inspect the problem. Your call with myself and our CSR (secretary) is recorded for quality purposes. Upon inspection, we determined that the return ducts in the attic were disconnected in one location and split open and damaged in another. I sent you multiple pics showing the issue. We provided you a reasonable quote to patch your duct work, and to do do a proper replacement of the duct work that was pulling in attic air filled with your neighbor’s cigarette smoke that was leaching up from their residence. I spoke with you while our crew was on the job, in your attic, and removing multiple vents and returns during our end-to-end inspection. We did all this for $89. You are not the property owner, and while we didn’t have the property owners permission to do work/modifications at the property , we tried to isolate the issue to try to help out those living with you that had issues and were sensitive with the smoke. You were rude for no reason and thought you knew the diagnosis before we arrived. Our crew told you that it was your equipment and duct work that was causing the issue and you didn’t want to believe it, and resorted to the claim said we were ripping you off. We have tried to support you the best we can for $89. I hope you find someone to support you with this issue.

Very good service at a fair price. Service Manager Nick gave no pressure options for my situation. I elected for a new install which was performed within two days. Nick was very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions and concerns. Joe and Kaleb did an amazingly good job integrating the new furnace. Thrown together old systems now look like one streamlined unit. It doesn't just "work," it was put in with some craftmanship (HVAC art). Will definitely continue to use this company.

The salesman from Extreme One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, Michael gave me the best price, and I felt he is sincere, so I chose to use this company to replace the Heating & A/C. At 2018-09-06, Michael, Shaun and another guy showed up for the installation. I paid for an XV series Furnace, but the furnace they brought to my home is XR 16. I was told the internal is indeed a XV furnace, but the door is XR 16 door. They already showed up at my door, so I decided to accept it whether it is the wrong furnace or not. Michael, the sales man said that he will replace the wrong furnace door with a right furnace door. But after the installation, he never contacted me again. Shaun and the other guy did the installation, and they had really good attitude, and I appreciate that. Overall, the experience is not too bad. But the wrong door they installed always makes me suspect if they installed the right furnace that I paid for or not.

Excellent, Kevin Vest explained everything that was wrong with the system and replaced the broken part. He also completed an inspection of the AC system afterwards and made sure the correct air temperature were flowing thru the vents. Highly recommended.

I needed a mini-split in my office-at-home. I contacted a few A/C companies, and set up appointments for the following couple of weeks. Except for one – Shaun from Extreme’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning of Beavercreek stopped by the same day. He did a thorough review of the situation (and he really knows his stuff!) and provided me estimates for 3 different options. It all made sense, but I wanted to get estimates from other companies as well. It turns out they were all higher and had some “gotcha’s” in them. Then before I could make up my mind, Shaun called and told me of a special opportunity he found out about, at a much lower cost. I placed the order over the phone. The crew arrived two days later. Joe and Caleb are real expert installers. Shaun was there too, helping and guiding. They did an excellent job with the installation and cleanup, offering creative solutions to various minor issues that came up due to my requirements and satisfying my every whim. The end result is a first-rate mini-split, performing better than expected and at a very affordable price. Next time I have an A/C or heating project, Extreme’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning will be the first and only company I call.

The Pros: While Extreme did call me shortly after I asked for a quote, I missed their call and didn’t call them back until late that afternoon. They still managed to get a technician out to my house to quote me that same evening. The technician who provided the quotes didn’t try to sell me on anything. He just gave my HVAC unit a quick once over and after a brief discussion provided me with a quote. The price I was billed matched the price I was quoted and the pricing was competitive compared to other quotes I received. This isn’t always the case with contractors, so always – get more than one quote! I was level set that the install could be either the following Monday or Tuesday and they were able to begin the installation on Monday. The installation team arrived as promised. They were friendly, worked quietly, and took care to respect my home while they were working. My old HVAC system needed disposed of and they had to fabricate parts to fit my utility space and both were handled well. The work space was cleaned up, the installation team closed our back yard gate when they left which is of importance to me because I have pets, and they took time to explain everything they did. In addition, they gave me advice on how best to maintain my unit and what I could expect with the service plan I’d chosen for the product I purchased. Weeks after my HVAC installation was complete, I had an issue with the A/C unit (see below). Extreme was quick to get a technician on site to address the problem. They were on site within a few hours of my phone call which in the contracting world is pretty fast. In addition, there was no charge for the visit. Room For Improvement: The installation team didn’t call when they were on their way. They were within the promised window, but it would have been good to know when they were en route from their previous job. The installation took most of the work day which I chalk up to my installation team had journeymen who were still learning the ropes. It’s not a ‘con’ rather it’s just something their newer techs need to be mindful of. About 2 ½ weeks after my A/C unit was installed it stopped working. It required service due to firmware needing an update and low refrigerant due to a leak in the A/C line. Both issues should probably have been addressed by the installation team. I’m not listing this as a “Con” because I was level set that they were journeymen and I didn’t object. Working out kinks in the system comes with the territory with any piece of engineering – but they should be mindful going forward to check for firmware updates and test for leaks in the coolant line after install. The Cons: Two words – customer service. A call taker should NEVER say the words, “If you’d have let me finish…” nor should they ever talk to you as if you were a child. This shouldn’t dissuade you from using Extreme because I’ve found that soft skills are lacking just about everywhere I go and in every industry I come in contact with. Overall Impression: I highly recommend Extreme One Hour. They act with integrity; they appear to be tirelessly working to gain customer trust through professionalism, communication, hard work, and (mostly) friendly interaction; and when there was an issue, they were quick to identify the issue and resolve it. These are all key benchmarks of a solid organization and I’m confident that all my HVAC needs will be met for the foreseeable future. Date of Original Install: 6/24/2019 Date of Repair: 7/12/2019

We got several quotes from local HVAC providers / installers. We felt the most comfortable with the salesman from Extreme One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning and I got the best price from them which also included a 2-year membership in their Comfort Club (Spring and Fall service visits to check and tune-up my system). We were an all electric home until a couple of years ago when we added natural gas. When our 16-year old Trane heat pump developed problems this proved an ideal time to switch over to a gas furnace and air conditioner. We stayed with Trane as we were happy with our Trane heat pump. Because we have some space constraints and limitations for our new system, Extreme sent out their system designer the day before the installation to develop a creative solution that met our requirements and efficiently maximized the space with which they had to work with minimum impacts to us. The day of the install they arrived on time, were friendly but very professional and treated our home as if it was their own. They also took the time to answer my questions while the worked. Since it was bitter cold that day, they needed to be in and out all day, and we were without a heating system most of the day, they brought a heavy duty space heater to keep us from freezing until they were done. At completion, showed us how to use the new system including the new programmable thermostat, changing filters, etc. and they cleaned up everything and left our home better than they found it. They then submitted all of our rebate paperwork to Vectren and DP&L for us. We were very impressed with the whole process of buying and installing a complete new HVAC system. I highly recommend Extreme One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning for and HVAC installation work!

My appointment was pushed back by 4 hours but they kept me in the loop so I wasn’t upset. The appointment itself was fine. A few days after the appointment the dryer vent hose fell off because it hadn’t been properly reattached. Also, the thermostat wires were pulled out of my thermostat and I lost heat for the night. I was not entirely pleased but I don’t think any of this was intentional. Probably just a long day and lack of attention to detail.

Actually, that is a really great company. Their technician was really professional. He gave me an honest estimation. He was going to try to fix my heat pump, but it would have cost me more to do that then to buy a new system over time. He was really honest with me about that. He said, ?well, I could fix it today, but it?s probably going to be leaking again. You are going to have to call me again and eventually you are going to have to get a new system!? I decided that I was just going to bite the bullet and just buy a new system. They came on time, came when they said they were going to come. They cleaned up after themselves. They contacted me afterwards to see if I was happy with the system and if there were any problems. Just from beginning to end, they were very professional. I don?t think the price was too high or too low. I want to say there was two people that came out to installed the system. It was like three hours to install the system. I am very happy with the service that One Hour gave me. I do like the quality of the line that they carry, they carry the Trane line. I would use them again and highly recommend for any of my neighbors that needed a new system. I subscribe to their Comfort Club, so they come out twice a year in the spring and the fall to service my system. They are very punctual, they call me like a week ahead of time to schedule. They are very flexible.

I called Saturday morning, 17 December, around 8:00 to schedule an appointment. A technician called me back by 8:15 to discuss my furnace issue. He estimated that he would be able to stop by early in the afternoon but would give me a call an hour before arriving to confirm the time. He never showed up or called.

I believe you spoke with the Technician on Sunday as well and for whatever reason you didn't want service at that time. I apologize if you feel our response rate wasn't satisfactory, we have since added some procedures to help speed up the process on the weekends and after-hours. I'm not saying we are perfect but we do our best to be responsive. I would be happy to offer you a voucher for a no-charge tune up.
