Everyone from the receptionist to the service man were so wonderful and professional.

The air went out on our house, and as I know nothing about Air Conditioner units I came to Angie's List to find a reputable, trustworthy company to avoid getting taken advantage of. The reviews on Extreme were awesome so I gave them a call. The woman who answered was very friendly, and offered me an appointment that same day. I had to ask for an appointment a couple days later as my wife and I had plans that day. The service/repairman, Bob C. showed up on time and was very friendly. He's the kind of guy you'd invite over for a BBQ. He quickly took care of the issue at a very fair price. I also learned a few things about how our system works, and how to get the most out of it. He also told me of a really good deal for semi annual maintenance that Extreme offers which can save you a boatload, but wasn't pushy at all. I would have taken him up on it, but was a little short on cash at that time. I will be calling Extreme for all my heating and air needs from now on. And If you're near the area, I would highly recommend you do the same! My wife, dogs, and I thank you!

Air conditioner repair. The outside unit was not operating at all. The service tech diagnosed the problem immediately and repaired it quickly (a dual capacitor had failed). He answered all of my questions well. I'm not really sure how good the price was.

Bob the service tech is the man! He showed on time, presented himself well, and didn’t come across as salesman as many tech’s do these days. My problem was minor – a blown fuse but with the Angieslist 50% off coupon it was very affordable and worth it. Bob not only fixed the problem but took the necessary time to look over the whole system and explain things clearly. He spoke VERY highly of his employer in particular his respect for the owner of the company (I think he said is name was Doug somethingoranother). Anyway, it was refreshing to have someone do their job and actually give the impression they love what they are doing. If you use them request Bob as your tech – he knows his stuff…A/C is cold and the family is happy…thanks Bob!

Tom Mackey the sales representative was very professional and courteous. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain his products and services. After receiving six different estimates I went with Extreme's One Hour because I felt confident in their ability to install the units correctly and professionally. They also worked very hard to earn my business by adjusting the quote to meet my requests and in the end the price was very good. The installation technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. Two of them installed the heating and a/c units in one day from about 8:00am to 7:00pm. They made very neat and organized connections for the units and cleaned up after they were finished. Overall I was very happy I went with Extreme.

Woke up on Saturday morning with the temperature in the house at 48 degrees - Furnace was running, but there was no heat coming from the registers - Got on Angies list - found this company - called them - within an hour they were at my front door - they found the problem - they fixed the problem - Total cost was $59.00 (remember this was a Saturday Morning). Couldn't have been happier with their service.

Our furnice went out on Sunday, and first thing Monday morning i called Extreme to ask about their pricing, and availability. Tom Mackey came out to our house the same day and walked us through the options. Based on our usage, and location of the furnice he made his recommendations, and we made our choice. The furnice we have chosen was in stock and the very next morning Bill (one of their installers) came in and replaced our old one with new. Quality of work is outstanding, and the customer service - great! I want to say thank you to Tom, he understands what it's like to live in a house with no heat, and did everyhting in his power to get us back up. From my initial conversation to the warm house it was 36 hours! Thank you!

We had them do our Fall Preventive Maintenance and they found problems from previous work that was done. They were professional in the way they handled the situation. They did not bad mouth the other company. He took the time to explain what was wrong and why it was wrong. It could of turned out badly for us because we would of not had a functioning furnace if they had not noticed it. We had to call the previous company to come repair what they had previously had done. We will continue to use them for out HVAC needs. I am very confident in Andy the technician that came out to our house. We will have them out in the spring to do the preventative on the A/C.

As usual, Steve was friendly, on time, careful, thorough, and a pleasure to be around. I typically don't subscribe to service contracts for these types of things, but I've learned to make a exception for this company. I mentioned to Steve that based on an electrical installation defect he discovered (previous HVAC company's fault) and repaired last Spring, I saved at least $500 in electric bills during the Summer of 2010. During this week's visit, Steve fixed a few minor things, removed old humidifier components (he did this and built the patches for free). While doing so, he also discovered a hidden damper and brought it to my attention. Our house will now be much easier to balance this Winter. We are extremely pleased, and couldn't imagine letting any other company touch our HVAC equipment.

Had quotes from 4 providers. Came down to two and selected Doug's company based on the thoroughness of his quotes, his answers to our follow up questions and a fair price. Very pleased with the workmanship and the professionalism of the team. Even had a minor item that they came back and completed on that Saturday. Work was done ahead of schedule and cleanup was thorough. Will use them for service and highly recommend them for anyone needing home HVAC.

We couldn't be more pleased. The work was done exactly as described. They took great pains to protect our tile and carpeted floors with padded quilts and adhesive-backed plastic carpet protectors for the stairs. And they even removed their cloth foot protectors each time they went outside so that they did not track any dirt in! Our installation was particularly difficult because someone had to get on our 12x12 pitched 3-story roof to feed up a smaller-diameter stove pipe to make sure there was not a back-draft that might blow out the pilot light. The installation was professionally done and looks great. They even took the pains to find the exact caulking color to match our exterior paint for the heat exchanger in the front of the house. We were kept informed of their progress at the end of each day (because we had two units to install, it took a little longer than the normal customer.) They cleaned up their tools and mess at the end of each day. Our new furnaces are extremely quiet. We can't wait to enjoy their energy-efficient features. And to top it off, they gave us an edible fruit bouquet as a thank you for our business! The experience was top-notch and I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

After all of the credits we recieved in which Ed filed for us, with the exception of the tax credit we will have to do ourselves, we will only have to pay out just over $2 grand for a 100,000 BTU Trane furnace!! The guys were so professional, very nice, and had a great sense of humor that my husband really enjoyed and joked around with them while they were here. The insallation took the better part of a day, but we had a HUGE furnace from 1959 that had to be removed! I would definatley recommend them to anyone in need of a furnace, and will be calling them again when we need to update our AC unit!

They came out for the estimate. Great sales guy, seemed like he really cared. Took a lot of time, which was okay, to be sure I got what I wanted. Quickly returned calls. Was not the cheapest but was able to come to an agreement on price. Arrived on time and didn't leave a mess! Also is going to help with the other needs as well. They will also be doing my semi- yearly tune-ups. Good service.

I chose One Hour Heating because of their outstanding ratings on Angie's List and the Dayton BBB. And it was quickly obvious why they have such outstanding customer ratings. After visits by two other companies and inside temp rising to 87 degrees, I checked out Angie's list and BBB. I called One Hour and they sent a tech out immediately. He recharged the system to bring us some immediately relief although we knew the system would need to be replaced. A few days later, I obtained estimates from all 3 companies but it was an easy decision. Although Doug Washburn and One Hour had a great price and the best system, I chose him because he was by far the most knowledgeable and he took time to answer my questions and to show me several improvements we could make to reduce our utility bills and to enhance the overall quality of heating and cooling in our home. To my surprise, I received a check in the mail to reimburse me for the initial service call. His team (employees--not subcontractors) arrived exactly on schedule and Doug introduced everyone and explained the installation process. His technicians covered the floors and counters and cleaned up completely before they left. I couldn't have been happier with the work. The two lead technicians, John and Bob, are top notch--it was perfectly clear they are professionals who take pride in their work. The new installation is a huge improvement. Doug made vast improvements in our return air system, consolidated drain lines, and added a step box to make access safer and more convenient . His attention to detail is evident throughout the entire process. He even had his technicians treat the outside unit with Armor All. About 4:30 on the day of the installation, Doug returned with an incredible edible fruit arrangement just to thank us for our business. What a nice touch. The system has worked perfectly from day one. I have used various HVAC companies over the years but none come close to achieving the high level of service provided by Doug Washburn and One Hour Heating and A/C. He has clearly raised the bar and set a new standard in the industry. We will definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

The sales person was honest and professional. The installers showed up on time and did the whole job in one day. They were friendly and professional. The owner stopped by periodically during the day to checkup on how the job was going. He even brought us a fruit basket. They cleaned up the job site. The owner called a day later to see if everything was working or if I had any questions. This company is the best.

Both the president and the installation technician were very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and punctual. They weren't pushy at all and I felt like they listened to our needs from start to finish, rather than trying to sell us the same name-brand systems the other HVAC guys push. Doug is very customer-focused and was helpful with follow-up questions as well. Great service and support all the way around.

They had a plan for a furnace and a/c tune up, which I bought. The cost did not include this plan that I purchased. I didn't have anything to compare the price to.

We chose to get 3 estimates from companies chosen by BBB and Angie's list ratings and referrals. We got 2 estimates before Doug showed up from Extreme's. His estimate, after all the rebates and discounts were factored in, was much less than the first two! Our final price after the Trane and One Hour discounts, and the Vectren, DP&L, and federal rebates, is around $4000. Everyone from Extreme's was very professional, friendly and efficient. The system operates beautifully. Couldn't be happier!

We are very impressed with this company, and really can't say enough good things about them. After dealing with them through a relatively major full-system diagnosis and subsequent numerous repairs, I can say that Extreme's is: Competent. The folks that diagnosed the system had no trouble identifying what had failed, as well as what had been improperly installed by the other company in the first place. Steve repaired the system and clearly understood everything that was going on. Courteous. They really do take the on-time thing seriously. They are exceptionally careful with cleanup. I don't recall ever doing business with any other service company that left everything as clean as these guys. Professional. Extreme's seems to understand how to run a business well. Their office staff is friendly and responsive and always answered our phone calls. As more problems were uncovered with my unit, Steve really went above and beyond to keep on track with the initial estimate. This is rare in this type of service industry where nickel-and-diming the customer to death is common. Instead, Extreme's seemed to be more interested in establishing a good long term business relationship with us. Which they have. Humble. The guys from Extreme's explained all of the problems to me carefully and went out of their way not to badmouth the other company that caused many of the problems (even when the other company's incompetence was blatantly obvious to me). They were more concerned with getting things working again and making us happy. Which they definitely did. Overall, I'm extremely happy. I'm certain that Extreme's service is the best value available. I've used the cheaper side of the residential HVAC industry before, and I ended up wasting a lot of money. Extreme's, on the other hand, does top notch work at a fair price and is a pleasure to do business with. I won't consider doing HVAC business with anyone else.

They were very personable and did great work. They did the work very quickly and also cleaned up after themselves. A couple of people had to come at the end to do some cleaning up on Christmas Eve. They did everything in a single day which was unbelievable.

We recently experienced a series of problems with our furnace. Called Extreme's One Hour for a service call and the tech that arrived was prompt, courteous, and honest. Of course, when he arrived, the furnace worked, but eventually, the problem was diagnosed. Since the furnace was 15 years old, we decided to replace the unit. The tech gave me his cell number and offered to come to my home at any time to get the existing furnace running until the new unit was installed. We had to have him back 4 times within the span of a week, and each time, he was great! Patient, courteous, clearly explained what he was doing, and never seemed to be troubled by my calls. The new furnace was delivered, installed, and up and running within a week. Our tech, Steve, and the installer, John, did a great job. I will definitely use EXTREME'S again to service my furnace or air conditioner, and I have been, and will continue, to refer this company to friends and neighbors.

Response time was excellent, and the service man arrived just when he said he would. He took a look at the furnace and said that there was a faulty part. He then said several other parts were faulty, and offered to sell us a new furnace on the spot. After some deliberation (the proposed furnace was a good furnace at a good price) we declined to purchase a new furnace and declined the proposed repair because of price. The repair person was pleasant and helpful.
