painting was good, could have taken more time for better prep work.They got paint on some bed sheets which were supposed to be covered and did very little clean up after they finished.

Great. This is the third time I have used them to paint the outdoors of my home. Always do a great job and price is below other bids.

Excellent. Crew was punctual professional courteous and clean. There was an area of one wall that needed additional prep work. They preped the wall and came back the next day to paint.

The job went very well. Laura (the site foreman) explained their process very well and put everything in a contract. Job was started and finished within the time frame they stated. Site was cleaned up every day (3). Painting a pergola was included in the price, so we thought they were competitive. Very happy with the result.

They did a good job with the painting. They could improve a little in their communication regarding scheduling.

We were delighted by the result and price. I expect we will probably use again in the future.

Very poorly. We signed the contract in mid September (didn't start till mid October), and the job was finally finished around December 5. They did the power washing about a month before actually starting the painting. They said the job would take 3 - 3 1/2 days to complete, it took nearly three months. We had great weather most days and they maybe came for an hour or else just didn't show up. Calls to the supervisor didn't help, there was little to no oversight to make sure that the crew showed up and were actually painting. The quality of work was very spotty, some places did not get two coats of paint. Our wrought iron front porch railings were painted the wrong color, even though special paint was purchased specifically for them. Plus they just slapped the correct paint on top of the wrong color and now it's chipping and peeling. They also were supposed to recaulk around all of our windows, but only patched in places. We have since found out that we have water damage/rot around two of our windows that need to be replaced. We received a card for warranty service that we responded to, and never heard from Certapro. A miserable experience all around. Do not hire them.

Positive Aspects • Easy process to book the appointment to find out how much it would cost to have our two-story Great Room and Foyer painted, as well as some touch ups and minor color changes to the front and back of our house and deck staining. Our estimator / Laura couldn't have been nicer and was a pleasure to work with. • Lead time to have all the work completed was only about a week (got quote on Saturday and work was completed on following Friday) • All the workers we came in contact with were friendly and were receptive to any request we had to go over a spot that didn't look coated, etc. Neutral Aspects • There was some confusion with the interior crew as to which walls were quoted in the job. The crew was accommodating but we felt the process to clearly document which walls were included in the job could have been better, however we realize its hard to put that into words in a contract. Perhaps a simple floor plan sketch needs to be drawn up during the quote process to clearly illustrate which walls were included in the quote (especially with open room layouts where walls can transition between one/two stories). • Some discussion concerning how much to charge us for paint overages that the interior crew didn't feel were included in the quote were overheard between the two crew members (felt as though they may have intended for it to be overheard as our floor plan is very open and should have known we were within hearing range). The interior crew did work into the early evening (wrapped up around 7 or 7:30 from starting at 9:30am) on a job that was large, having done an overall outstanding quality of work. However the discussion of overages (suggesting between themselves we could just tip whatever we felt was fair instead of adding to the cost of the job) appeared a little unprofessional. We did tip them because they earned it, not as a result of suggesting it amongst themselves. It might be better in the future if they have an open discussion with the customer and add any additional paint charges to the contact. Negative Aspects • We did have to request the exterior crew to come back and finish caulking our trim boards on the back of our house. We felt the missing spots could have been more carefully inspected by crew before they left the job on the first visit. • One of the exterior crew members rinsed out a paint bucket at the outside water hydrant leaving a big glob of dried up paint on the ground. This was cleaned up by the lead crew member who returned to finish the exterior caulking on the following weekend. • Spoke to the Service Manager on the phone about a mix up in scheduling one of the exterior crew members to return and complete the calking. He stated he would probably stop by and take a look at the missed spots, but to our knowledge that never happened. In our opinion anytime a crew misses an area that was contracted and paid for a member of the service team should visit the job in person and review the workmanship with the customer to ensure total and complete satisfaction, especially when funds have already been paid. • The deck/stairway was added to the job after the original contract was written, stating the cost included power washing before staining. The pre-power washing never happened. Hopefully the stain adhered correctly to ensure the touted longevity of the staining product.

Very well. They responded quickly and did a very good job.

They never washed the exterior of the house so the whole job is suspect. Claimed it was the wrong thing to do for cedar siding. Paint is already peeling in some areas. They start a new job every Tuesday so watch out if weather slows them down. They will become very rushed and cut corners. Getting a supervisor to call you back is very difficult. Getting a painter to show up for corrections is even worse. They tend to say all the right things but deliver on none. They do not use trained painters.

We have used Certa Pro several times in the past for interior wallpaper removal with drywall repair and paint. Our home will be going on the market and we wanted to present the best possible look for potential buyers. Tony and his crew did an outstanding job of removing the wallpaper, patch or repair the walls and paint. They were prompt, worked hard with very little down time and presented us with an outstanding look for the family room. They were in and out in less than the estimated time and we couldn't be happier with the result. The crew cleaned up and moved the furniture back prior to completion of the job.

They came out when they said they would. If there was a problem with the work they came right back out and fixed it for free.

Best price of three bids. Painter verified color to insure color match before continuing on. Prep work was excellent; clean up daily; excellent communication from salesperson to painter to foreman. House was inspected by foreman upon completion and we walked the entire house to verify our satisfaction. After job follow up by salesperson to ensure satisfaction and offer to return if any issues come up.

Painting crew that came out were very professional. Communicated well with office staff as to what they would be doing. They worked around our staff as to not be in our way. Completed the job on time and cleaned up everything. No mess left behind.

The CertaPro representative was excellent and provided a very detailed and understandable proposal. The two painters were also very professional and very good, and I was pleased they did not rush the job, as it actually took 4 days to complete, thus the house actually received the two separate coats of paint and not just a second coat of paint within a few hours of the first coat. I would definitely recommend the Dayton Ohio branch of CertaPro Painters and would use them again.

It went very well. The painter was very thorough and did a great job on all of the requested work. I am very satisfied with this company as I have used them a few times before and they are very professional and their rates are not too bad.

Everything went great. Friends of ours recommended CertaPro because they had a great experiene and told us who they talked to and who did the work on their house. Laura, who was recommended to us, showed up on time and assisted us in choosing the colors for the trim, sidig and shutters. We explained all those things we were concerned about for the painters to do and she passed those concerns to the painters. We also requested Chad to do the painting and Laura set that up. The painting was scheduled for the next week. Chad and his assistant started the next week and completed it by the end of the week. Great care was taken by the painters to assure paint overlap was minimized and no dripping or plant damage would occur. We have since recommended CertaPro and specifically Laura and Chad to two of our neighbors and we rarely recommend services to anybody but there was no question here!

I was very pleased with the ease of scheduling my estimate, the professionalism of everyone and the timing of my project. The crew was very careful of my new landscaping and took extra measures to protect it. They were extremely neat and that was my biggest concern with hiring a company to paint for me. I'm extremely happy with the final results.

They did an outstanding job! Not one drop of paint was spilled on our new flooring. It took them less than two days to put two coats of paint on. The wood trim job was very well done. They used Sherwin Williams paint and they even double checked with us concerning the color mix before they began the job. We have used CertaPro Painters before for our covered deck and we will definitely use them again.
