It operates better and more quietly than it has in years. Other companies that serviced or repaired it in the past did not do as good a job, so I am very pleased.

I was very happy. They were prompt, they were courteous, they didn’t try to sell me anything extra, and I was very happy with the work.

There was a little bit of a wait to schedule an estimate, but the estimator arrived on time and seemed very efficient. When I mailed in the check I did not hear from them about scheduling the work, so after about 10 days I called them, and apparently they lost or misplaced my check and the copy of the contract I sent them. After a $25 stop payment fee on my original check, we got things started. There was another wait of about 2 weeks before they could schedule an installer, but the installer arrived on time and was efficient in completing the work. Unfortunately there was a quality defect in the control unit (the installer said this was a big problem since they switched suppliers), and the unit had to be replaced twice before we finally got one that would work for more than a couple of days. Altogether it was over a month from the original install date until the unit was finally fixed.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon this morning and received a call within an hour to schedule an appointment. I expected a couple weeks out, but there was someone in the area and he was able to come out within the hour. So I scheduled for then. I received another call telling me Jayson was on his way. Jason got here, looked things over, serviced the doors and shared what he found. My newer door was fine, but the lube made it much smoother and quieter. My older door was still noisy, but better than it was before. Jayson pointed out some concerns with the structure of the door and how it was breaking down. I think the door is original to the house, so it is well over 20 years old. He listed some quicker fixes and the concerns with them and the possibilty of needing a new door in the future. He did point out that he isn't a salesman and that I could check into it if I was interested. He left future contact info incase I needed additional service or wanted to find out about a new door. There was no pressure, just good information. I am very impressed and pleased with the service and feel better about cold weather and my doors. I probally will need a new door sometime in the next year or so and I will be sure to check with them when I do.

N/E Ohio Big Deal of the day (2 days)... Ordered the coupon this morning, they were at our house this afternoon! Have 1 garage door that seemed to be jammed (wouldn't open) for nearly a year - never called anyone because I didn't know who to call or how much they would charge. Jake was very professional, knew the problem right away, fixed the issue, lubed the unit to keep it quiet, checked the remote keypad, the remote controls, the wall pad and answered several questions. Would definately call the Overhead Door Co of Akron for any other garage door needs that we may have in the future! GREAT WORK - recommend highly.

Took about three weeks to order door. Deposit check was lost resulting in a stop payment fee. Control unit installed had bad control card, took a few more days to replace door and complete installation.

My experience with them has been very good. He knew what the problem was right away. He came out the day I called him. It was done within fifteens minutes. It wasn't a big thing, but he serviced the track, the springs, and everything.

It went excellent overall. I didn't expect the technician to fix the tensioner. I was very happy when he did. He saved me around $100.00. I will certainly use Overhead Door Company again.

I CALLED THE OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY AND THEY WERE ABLE TO SEND A SERVICE TECHNICIAN OUT THE SAME DAY. HE WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE THAT THE CHAIN WAS LOOSE AND HE TIGHTENED THE CHAIN. HE ALSO DETERMINED THAT ONE OF THE TORSION SPRINGS NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED. I LEARNED THAT IF YOU UNHOOK THE GARAGE DOOR FROM THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND OPEN IT ALL THE WAY THAT IT SHOULD STAY UP BY ITSELF. MINE WOULD COME DOWN ABOUT ONE-THIRD OF THE WAY. THIS IS AN INDICATION THAT THE TORSION SPRING IS PULLING THE GARAGE DOOR DOWN AND MAKING THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER WORK HARDER THAN IT NEEDS TO. THEY ADJUSTED THE SPRING AND NOW THE GARAGE DOOR STAYS OPEN BY ITSELF. THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER SOUNDS MUCH BETTER. OVERHEAD DOOR CHARGES $36.00 FOR THE SERVICE CALL AND $21.00 FOR EACH 15 MINUTES THE TECHNICIAN IS THERE. THE CHARGE WAS $78.00 FOR 30 MINUTES.

THEY WERE ASSIGNED BY OUR HOME WARRANTEE COMPANY. THEY CAME OUT, DIAGNOSED DEAD GARAGE DOOR OPENER. PROBLEM IS WITH THEIR OFFICE. THEY DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH TO GET AUTHORIZATION FROM THE WARRANTEE COMPANY. WE FOLLOWED THROUGH FOR THEM, AND THEY STILL CLAIMED THEY COULDN''T CONTINUE. THIS COMPANY ACTED LIKE THEY DIDN''T WANT US FOR CUSTOMERS. WHEN I FOUND OUT WE COULD GET A PAY OUT TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY, WE DID SO IMMEDIATELY.
