Serviceman did everything that he was supposed to. He could have paid more attention to detail i.e. cleaned bugs & dirt out of light fixture. Less than six weeks later the garage door cable failed because the bracket was rusted out. We had it repaired by a local serviceman on Thanksgiving day so that we could get our car out of the garage. The Overhead Door of Akron serviceman should have caught this obvious problem when he did the tuneup. It cost a bundle to get a man out on Thanksgiving!

The associate arrived on time, was professional and did the work expected in a timely manner. Appreciated the fact that he used all American-made hand tools! Would definitely use this company again.

Used my Big Deal coupon to have my garage door serviced. It is a very old door and opener, and noisy enough to be heard up and down the street. I assumed that was because it was old. I figured I'd get it some regular maintenance (I've never had it serviced in the 9 years I've been here) and in the process ask about a new door/opener. The appointment process was VERY easy and friendly and I got it set up on my first choice date at my first choice time, before I left for work. On the day, the service representative arrived a few minutes early (great) in a clearly marked truck (great) and backed into my driveway. He went to work right away, set the spring, replaced all the rollers lickety split, and squeezed grease out of a tube in various places. One corner of the track seemed to be a bit askew to his eye, so he applied a few strategically placed whacks with a hammer. This all took about 10 minutes, I think. He opened and closed it a few times to make sure it worked, and... to my amazement... it was quieter than I ever remember it being. Hallelujah! I asked about replacement costs, and he told me frankly he did not know. But he said he'd be happy to have someone from the office give me a call, send me some info, and work with me on my many choices of color and quality (I did get a call and email within the week). He took a quick look at my current (pathetic) door and suggested at minimum looking at better insulated doors and told me about what to look for. But there was no sales pressure - indeed, he sort of indicated that if it's still working, that's good. I'm still thinking/planning for a new door, and enjoying my quieter opener/closer. It has been about a month, and a little bit of shimmy has re-entered its path making it a tad noisier again, but overall I was very happy with the service and the improvement to my home.

Individuals arrived on time and explained what they were going to do. Observed the condition of the door and recommended services and parts needed. Performed tuneup and replaced and/or added parts as needed.

My garage door was not working, and I was using it manually. I thought the door was up when backing out with my van. Unfortunately, It was partially down. The door was bent off its track and I was unable to get my vehicle out of the garage. I spoke with Ken, he was very nice and sent someone out that afternoon. He was able to fix the door and replace a lost roller. I could get my van out and my door was now operational. Very very nice, very helpful for last minute help needed. And didn't make me feel totally ridiculous!

Technician came when scheduled. Work was performed as described.

I was extremely happy with the service. He went over the whole garage door operation and even fixed the wiring on my sensors so they would never go out with wind or leaves hitting them like they did. I was pleased with the service from start to finish - they arrived early and didn't leave until I advised him I didn't need anything further done.

They were prompt. He completed the work and also did some other things he suggested. They were just fine and I would hire them again.

Was able to come next day and arrived with in designated time, was very nice and did a good job.

The general maintenace went fine; but the problem with door not closing due to "eye" detecting false obstruction was not fixed on the initial visit. While it worked a few cycles of testing, after the technician left the problem returned. However, when the company was called and the problem reported, they came back out without objection and successfully fixed it on the second visit.

Service representative was prompt, attentive, courteous. Performed his evaluation well, and let me knwo which parts required work. By the tim ehe was finished, the door was MARKEDLY quieter than before. Akron Overhead Door will get my recommendation from anyone that asks!

The technician was punctual, took his time to inspect the door, greased the roller bar and replaced the two rollers that he was able to. He was very professional and explained to me that since this is still the original door from 1954 he couldn't replace all of the rollers as he would have to take the entire door down.

Very good experience. Overhead had a special so I had all the doors serviced at one time. Went smooth.

The tech informed me that it was very old and he yet ahead and did the tune up. Everything was fine but the next morning the remotes did not work. I had him come back out. Explained that he would need to install a new wire in button. He quoted me a price on a new door but it was too expensive at the time. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth because it all happened after the service with them. Did not pursue anything else after.

They are very friendly and courteous and showed up promptly for the appointment. They looked over the garage door and assessed its condition.

They came within a few days and at about the time they said. Adjusted springs, clutches, sensors, and limit switches on both doors. Lubricated & straightened tracks. Both doors working fine 11 mo. later.

The repairs went quickly and were right on target as identifying the problem and addressing it.

They come out promptly and showed up faster than expected. They were also friendly and did what they said they would do. My only complaint was some of the fluids they used kind of dribbled along the garage floor. They just left it behind and did not clean up well. I would not use their services again because of it.

I was experiencing a problem with our keypad. He fixed the keypad and coordinated the doors so thattheoperation was smoother and safer.
