Move It Now - Akron Canton & Medina

This a CLASS Operation. Including the owner, receptionist, scheduler and every mover who actually did the work. All of this was for my 91 years old Mother. She had decided to purge all of the excess from her life which included her cookbook collection of over 14,000 books. She was so happy to find a company who DID NOT discount her for her age and who was patient in working with her and setting everything up. The first two men who arrived worked with with speed and diligence and did the whole job of 220 boxes of books in slightly over an hour. The second pair did their work in an hour which included some big bookcases. In each contact every individual dealt with my mom with true professional courtesy, sensitivity, and kindness. She raves about the experience. Also the movers were so good there was no damage to anything including the walls, floors and doors. I would certainly recommend this company.

The original estimate was 7 hours, but the two gentleman who helped us got it done in 5.5 hours including two complete bedroom sets, living room furniture and exercise equipment. Devan and Tyler were a great team efficiently moving us out of the old place and into the new. They constantly kept in communication about how we wanted things or where they should go. They took less than 25 minutes total in breaks and subtracted that from the total time. Overall, I would highly recommend Move It Now for any of your moving needs.

The gentleman who did the next storage unit did more of what we wanted. They split the days because they were supposed to do it all on Monday, and something came up and they said they can't do it all on Monday. It was to their convenience. They were on time, and they called ahead. They were very responsive as far as coming and doing everything. My daughter was watching to make sure it was done right, and this one man told her that she should leave and do something else.

The gentleman were very nice and polite. We wanted the furniture moved in first and the boxes in front so that I could access some of the boxes, and I told him what containers and boxes I wanted to have access, but for sure the boxes later and the furniture first. He said they do it all the time and they know how to do it. I continued to say that that box and he said they would see how to do it or we may need another storage unit. I was standing there and telling him. He said they would get the stuff fixed and then get the stuff I need. I asked why they didn't just leave out the stuff I need and then make that fit or not fit. I am not a professional, they are, and then after all said and done, we had another storage unit a couple of weeks later because it didn't all fit. I asked for the items that I wanted upfront or available since it moved it their way. He said he can't get those, they are buried. He said they were in the middle and they would have to get a lot of stuff out and they would charge me. I told him that I had told them from the get go when they left the apartment that these are the different things I wanted access to. I can't get access to my wardrobe. I can't get my spring shoes, my spring and summer clothes, so it is frustrating. I have a hard time trying to get a pair of shoes that fit, much less trying to go out get a pair and knowing I have what I want already buried and can't get access. I talked to Gary, the head and he was very nice and apologized, and nothing was done, except the apology. The only thing that they did for it was put my chest and drawer at the very end so I can get to it. I asked where my shoes were and rubber made, and clothes that were brought, and they said they were buried. When I asked how I would get to them, they just shrugged their shoulders. We paid more than the big deal. We had used the big deal, and then she said we shouldn't have used the big deal because of the way it was explained. We asked if it was 2 men for 2 hours or 2 men for 4 hours, so we couldn't use the big deal and we got a refund for it. I asked the one man if he wasn't putting the boxes in the truck a bit too hard, and he said they were packed right. We then told the next guy who came the next day, and they put them gently. They were never rude, but they wouldn't do what we said the first day. They did a great job of packing it, but they weren't concerned about getting the items out. We had reserved another storage unit, and he said no, he said we should cancel it as he can get it all to fit in one but now we can't get to it. They came an hour and half early on the first day and didn't call as they were supposed to. They were a nice group of men, but it was just that particular person who thought he could save us money. They have the unit so packed, that they have the chairs up to the top of the storage. I would use them again if they would listen to the packing. They knew what they were doing, and they were very polite.

Things happen. I get that. The real issue and the reasons i'm bothering to write about it are the apparent indifference to the problem they created for me and the fact that nobody thought enough about it to offer an explanation and apology. This assumes someone other than John was even aware. If this seems odd to readers given other rave reviews of Move it Now I thought the same thing. However, because there is no reason I would be singled out for this "special" treatment, we might wonder where the other complaints are hidden.

We got so many quotations but since they were highly reviewed, we went with them.They came on time but I didn't expect them to take forever. I had the worst experience of my life but I did not know how to handle it so I did not report to anybody. Two guys came to help us move. They took more than the required 4 hours and the men were so unprofessional. They were smoking weed and smelled horrible. They did not work even though I kept looking at them. The worst part is that they broke a lot of our things. I was very scared because they were big. They came with a big truck and they moved the important things like the dressers and the trunk first, after which they told me that the truck was full. I couldn't believe them. When I went inside the truck, and nothing was organized. The space was misused. I had to move everything by myself afterwards. They said they were hungry and went out on a break. They spent more than one and a half hours. They charged me additional to cover 6 hours. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I did use them for more than two hours and they charged me extra. The two places were about 40 minutes apart. So, I got charged for the time they left their office in Akron, until they got back to their office in Akron. I think I ended up paying for a total of about four or five hours, by the time they were done. They moved a condominium full of furniture and boxes and things like that. They did an adequate job. They banged a few walls. They did okay. They were on time, professional and pleasant. They communicated well. They just didn't seem to be real careful. They were moving things and I was pointing them where to go. It was just general chaos. So, I didn't notice most of the things till after they left.

It went well. I think they were a little late. They were professional. They handled stuff properly. Nothing broke, nothing went wrong.

John, an account representative, came out and looked at our home and contents and gave a detailed estimate. The crew of six skilled movers arrived on time on the scheduled date with two trucks. I may not have all of the names correct and I apologize to those guys for any errors, but the team of Dan, Keith, Mark, Markus, Skyler and Jonathan were exceptional workers. The move was scheduled for a day and a half, but they were committed to getting it done in one day. No damage to our furniture or our new house.

I wasn't present when the movers loaded the truck in Wooster, but I'm told it went fine. They drove to Canton and unloaded the truck, taking one break. There were no problems and they did a good job dealing with limited space for unloading and in the apartment. The deal I bought didn't come close to covering the actual cost and I ended up being out-of-pocket more than I expected. Would recommend anyone purchasing the same deal call in to try and get an estimate of total cost. I left a check with my mother-in-law and ended up being charged again for the original deal (which I had prepaid) and additional for the extra time. I had to send my wife to the provider's office to get a partial refund, which they gave us without a problem. I would use them again but would make sure I had the charges figured out in advance.

I am very pleased with the work performed by Trey and Anthony. They were polite and professional. They worked hard and fast yet were careful with the items being moved. The overall move went very well and was completed in less time than anticipated. I highly recommend Move It Now.

Move It Now recently moved all furniture, etc. to our new home. This also included 3 pianos - one baby grand and 2 spinets which were located on the lower level of our old home and had to be brought up a full flight of steps! Needless to say, I was very concerned about all 3 pianos making it to our new home in good condition! Rob, Ryan, Levi and Austin showed up right on time. They were friendly, hardworking and professional! Everything made it to the new house in great shape and we could not have been more pleased! I would definitely recommend Move It Now!

Rob, Xavier, and Donte were amazing! We found out the house would be closing sooner than expected, so we were only 1/2 way packed. They arrived right on time and immediately jumped into action. I've never seen three guys work so fast in my life! We couldn't pack the few cabinets and unboxed items left fast enough! Before we knew it, they had nearly all the furniture taken apart and carefully loaded into the moving truck and were grabbing boxes and helping us fill. As we dove deeper into the storage areas of the home, there was far more than expected. The guys were up for anything and worked fabulously as cohesive team. We would definitely recommend Canton Move-It Now's services to anyone needing help with a small or large move. I bet not many people can say they moved their entire 3 bedroom house without one single item being damaged. Also, Greg at the office organized everything perfectly and on short notice, with a very accurate quote. I've never spent a better $900 in my life!!!

They said they needed three movers, so we had three and they did not bring a big enough truck so we could not move everything even though I told them explicitly everything we had to move including a lawn tractor and lawn tractor equipment and I listed the equipment. I said we were moving an entire garage including all the tools and I listed all of them. They did not have enough room to move everything. They should have brought a bigger truck. But, that being said, they did a decent job. They are very professional, courteous and they did not ruin any of my stuff. They cleaned up after themselves in lieu of not having a big enough truck and adding a third guy which added more cost because it was $864, including the discount. They were pricey.

This is the 2nd time I used this company within 5 months. My first experience was awesome. I was rather disappointed this time around. The movers were nice but not as much hustle as the last crew. Also, they damaged some of my furniture. When I advised them of this the one man said "well we have to write up a report then if they decide it was our fault they will send me out to fix it". I was not sure I understood, so I said excuse me? He said they trained him for this specific scenario. I said that it seems like he was getting a bonus by damaging my furniture. I requested they take 1 hour off my move and I will find my own repair. The man said they won't do that, and I said let's try. They agreed, so I was taken care of. I did request my original movers, but one moved away, and the other was at their other location.

It went very well. I contacted the provider with a short notice move proposal based on our unpredictable availability in August. The owners were straight forward, accurate with the pricing and accommodating with meeting our schedule despite it being one of the busiest times of the year for moving companies. The two trucks arrived at the primary residence on time and the guys set right to work. Similarly, the large single truck arrived at the secondary residence equally on time and the men wasted no time getting underway. There was no standing around and the trucks were loaded within 3 or so hours and the goods delivered at the destination residence an hour later. By 2:00 pm, the furniture, appliances were in place in the new home and boxes stored in the area of our choosing. No damage noted, all the workers were courteous and no nonsense in their approach. All packing material removed and the area cleaned up when everything was completed. Essentially, this move involved 3 large trucks and roughly 10 employees and the experience couldn't have been better. Would recommend and use them again.

It could not have gone better. Both Justin and Jonathan were very professional and accommodating. I am planning to use their services again (next week) and fully expect the service that I receive to once again be exemplary!

They were on time and very professional. Moved us in under the time estimated. They made a stressful event mich easier to handle.

The 3 movers showed up on time, and made the move quick and efficient. Only issue was small sweat stain on an upholstered couch that was cleaned later. Great team effort, and would definitely use for the balance of our move.

Moving crew was punctual and professional. The only glitch came when I noticed that my bed frame was not reassembled correctly, requiring me to remove mattress and foundation to correct the assembly. Overall, a good quality service and excellent price.

The movers were very nice and took good care of our belongings.
