Woodruff Tree Service

Initially we got an estimate when Rick came out on all five trees, but we decided to only do three. However, half way throught the job the next day, we figured it would be best to do all five. I called Mike at that time and he said no problem he would let the guys know to cut all five. We were very satisfied with the work done and the clean up afterwards. Rick gave us and outstanding price and customer service. We highly recommend Woodruff Tree Service for any tree cutting needs.

They did just very, very little for the $200 and it cost me $600 to have what I really wanted done. I wasn't too pleased with it. The work was okay, but the prices and just overall, they were average. I wish I got a little bit more for the $200. The coupon was for $200 and they came out and it was like, I paid $99 so that was what they were going to give me. I bought more services from them.

That job was completed as expected.

I couldn't say I was any happier, he responded timely. Kept me up to date on my scheduled service and it was scheduled much sooner than I expected. The price was below my expectations and the service he provided was far above what I expected. As far, as I'm concerned, he preformed more work than contractor for at my benefit and not his. I'll definitely use this company again.

Trimmed out two very overgrown big trees in the front yard, took down a dying pear tree in the back. They also used parts of the pear tree to fill in this ever-widing "sinkhole" near the tree and filled it in with mulch. They also not only cleaned up afterwards (including using a blower to get all the sawdust off of the sidewalk and driveway), but they also chipped up some big branches that I had sitting in the backyard that I couldn't get rid of!. Went way up and beyond the call of duty! A neighbor saw them working and they went over to her elderly mom's house and removed some bushes, trimmed some trees and did some other extra work for $200-they were so pleased with the work and price!! Definitely will call on them again when needed!y overgrw

not deep enough to replant another tree

These guys did a great job. They responded quickly to my initial request for a quote and then came back out a few days later to take the tree down. Even left me a few logs to use for firewood as well. Would definitely recommend.

The crew arrived on time and began work quickly. It was clear they had worked together as a team for a while. Everyone seemed to know exactly was their role was. They needed to get a wood moving device and the stump grinder into my back yard, but could not do that without edging a bit over into my neighbor's yard. I was pleased with the care they took to avoid any damage to their yard. When they were finished, they raked up my yard and swept my driveway and left everything in great shape. I was pleased to see that my neighbors came over to ask them to trim the tops on a couple of large trees at their place. It was a polite and courteous crew and a pleasure to work with.

Have tried to contact Woodruff for two days on phone and email in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus with no response. They may be out of business.

They were able to take care of the job within two days. They were actually available the day after the estimate, but I wanted to be present and they were able to push it out one more day to accommodate me. They job took less time than I thought. Overall I am quite happy with their work. There are only two things I have to complain about. I payed attention to the job they were doing at a higher elevation but not at the ground level and missed that they had marred my driveway in one spot. I am not certain what did that. My driveway is in rather poor shape already though, so I am not terribly concerned about it. Still, others might want to watch out. The other thing is that I have heavy plastic drain gratings in my yard, and one of them is now missing. I am disappointed that I did not notice it before the crew left. I now need to find a replacement. 2015-09-27 Update: Now that I've had some time to work out in the yard I've noticed that they left some gouges in the ground in a few spots, and left a bit of litter scattered about the yard. They had access to my garbage bin, and at least one of them was kind enough to throw their litter in it. Why leave beverage bottles in the yard? This plus the driveway damage and missing drain cover noted earlier makes me downgrade their score and I probably won't use them again in the future unless I can be around to make sure these problem do not happen again. Although, I'll be doing that now with anyone that I have doing similar work for me.

It was done quickly and completely. Removal was clean.

hard to get ahold of to schedule. but once we did it was smooth sailing. very quick efficient and cleaned up after. would use again.

We needed a significant amount of tree trimming done and they were my first choice having used them in the past. Left 2 voice mail messages and sent 1 email requesting an estimate. No response at all. Some kind of response would have been nice. Will not call them in the future.

The whole crew was professional, well prepared and timely. I was very impressed with the whole team. I will do business with them again.

They were great. They did what I asked them to do, for the price they quoted me. They left no mess behind. I was very happy with their service.

6/13/15 purchased the deal and gave dates for the following week 6/14/15 email from provider asking what day is good and what's my phone number 6/18/15 responded giving my phone number 7/8/15 sent email saying I was still waiting for a call. Or send me a phone number and I will call you. 7/28/15 sent email - please call this week or give me my money back 8/12/15 called customer service at Angie's List. Too late for a refund but they will credit the $75 to another deal. Buyer beware and don't make the same mistake I did - I waited too long and can't get my money back. Woodruff Tree Service may do great work but I will never find that out. Gave them plenty of time (too much time) to contact me.

Once we finally were able to connect, there was a slight scheduling issue due to busy schedule. But service was performed within a couple days of when scheduled. The service was completed and there was minimal mess/debris in spite of number of stumps being ground. They called before starting to confirm what to do about landscape lighting wires before they started which was appreciated. They honored the discount and the price was reasonable even after I added the neighbor's tree to the job.

I with I wouldn't have had them prune quite so much off of the evergreens - but they did exactly what I requested. Also they did damage some of my existing plants around the apple tree and large maple - however I did not ask them to be more careful and they may not have been able to do the work without some damage. All but one plant appears to be coming back okay. All the workers were polite and friendly. I was impressed with their efficiency.

Woodruff trimmed two large trees. They did an excellent job.

Great - provider came out while I was at work and ground out the stump. Easy transaction, as I never met him - he just knew what to do and did it!

Work was completed as expected. All but largest stump were ground with minimal build up of wood shavings. Happy with results and price (they honored discount offered through Angie's list).

I bought a big deal for this service. The deal cost $99 and it was toward $200 of tree service. They did a great job. The tree looked very good. They were polite and efficient.

Provider arrived same day. Routed out five shrub stumps. Did a very thorough job even though it had begun to rain.
