Went great and with a machine that big it was done very quick.

Everything went great and I will use them again in the future.

Cleaned up branch and climbed to to make clean cut.

I highly recommend this company for tree work! The crew was very attentive to detail and frequently checked in to make sure we were happy with the progress. This was a huge job that took 3 days of hard work. The honeysuckle alone was massively overgrown and tangled with each other, with some trunks measuring 8 inches in diameter or more. Couple that with much being on a steep hill that required hauling debris by hand. Now that the work is done we are so happy! Our yard looks brand new and ready for spring planting of new trees and perennials. I also must say how impressed we were that they kept us informed via phone calls and text of when they would arrive, and if delayed, let us know. As for cost, this job was expensive due to the scope and size of trees. We got bids from a couple other companies highly rated by Angie's List and all were very similar...so we feel they price things fairly for the market. We won't use any other tree company in the future.

Service provider did a good job trimming the trees; removing the one tree and grinding the two stumps. Unfortunately, the equipment they used made many ruts in my yard that they did not even try to correct. What was Even more unfortunate, was that they damaged my neighbors lawn when he agreed to allow them access to the rear of the property to assist them in completing the job. The day after they did the work, I had to rent equipment to fix the mess they left myself.

I have used Woodruff Tree Service several times in the past and have been happy with there services. This time was the same great service, I will be using them next year also.

Work was complete as requested and on time.

I requested a quote and got no response.

I called on Thursday. I got no call back, so I called again on Saturday. I got a call from them the following Tuesday. I missed that call, so I left a message Tuesday afternoon asking them to call me back again. I never got another call from them, so I went to another service.

In the process of renovating a house to flip. I was initially put off when I didn't get a return call for a couple of days after I left a message about getting a quote, but once I did get a return call from Rick, they were fantastic about scheduling to come out right away and do the work. There was some pretty extensive tree trimming needed and had to remove a large Arborvitae tree that was planted too close to the house plus some evergreen bushes that needed to be removed. They did an amazing job and everything looked so much better! They also ground down any stumps and cleaned up really well. Total cost for the job at the Delaware flip property was $2033.00 I was impressed enough with their work that we had them do work at our Dad's house in Worthington which is quite extensive with large tree removals and extensive bush trimming requiring at least 2 days to complete. Total cost of that job was $7169.00

Woodruff trimmed two trees for me: a very large oak, from which they removed 6 large branches; and a mulberry tree, which I asked them to trim. They did a good job with the oak tree but very badly botched the trimming of the mulberry tree. Prior to the tree cutting Rick, the supervisor, and I carefully reviewed what I wanted his crew to do. They carried out the work on a Friday and as the afternoon progressed (and quitting time got closer) the quality of their work steadily declined. Rather than trimming the mulberry as I had requested, they cut one of its trunks in half, leaving behind an ugly six foot-long stump (see photo). (Is this the proper way to trim a tree?) Nor did they clean up the mulberry debris adequately. I twice asked them (very nicely) to clean up as promised. Their responses were impatient and surly, and I cleaned up the remaining debris myself (see photo of the branches left behind). Also, while trimming they dropped a large branch onto a bush, splitting it in half and destroying it. Oddly, that bush was left covered with debris, as if to hide the damage. I twice wrote to Mr. Woodruff, describing my dissatisfaction with the work and asking for a satisfactory resolution, but he has never written back or tried to communicate with me. The attached photographs speak to the poor quality of their work. I will not hire them again.

Company did not respond to message. Moved forward with another company. Woodruff Tree Services lost a $2500 job.

The service went very well, they showed up on time and worked extremely fast. The man in charge made sure to check that every thing was done correctly and that we were satisfied before they left.

Woodruff tree service was amazing. They were responsive and reliable. After receiving quotes, they were not only the best price by $3500, we had other companies that were hesitant due to power and cable lines. Rick was very professional and ensured that we were happy with the job every step of the way. Steve, the climber, was knowledge and fearless. They completed the job very quickly. They were all hard working and worked very well together. Once the trees and stumps were removed they ensure that all debris was cleaned up and left the property in outstanding condition. Mike the owner came to the property and made certain we were fully satisfied. I would highly recommend Woodruff and will not hesitate to call them in the future.

Everything exceeded expectations. I would especially recommend experienced climber Steve, whose knowledge of what really needed to be done, caution about certain things that should not be done, and his willingness to listen to me and what I wanted was most appreciated. I would not hesitate to hire Woodruff again if I could get Steve to do the work. All work was done quickly, efficiently, and with safety in mind.

Over the summer, we had a Bradford pear tree that was severely damaged in a storm and needed removed. I called several contractors for quotes. Initially, Woodruff's quote was higher than another I had received, but I later received a call back and he reduced the price if we were able to have the job done the very next day. The reduced price and quick timing was very reasonable - the lowest of the quotes I had received - so I agreed. They came the following day while we were at work; by the time we got home the tree was removed, yard cleaned up and chips hauled away, and the hole back-filled with topsoil (which I had requested). We were very pleased with the job! A few months later, we had a bush that we wanted removed. I called Woodruff for an estimate, and got his voicemail a couple times. After some rounds of phone-tag, he stopped by our house and provided a written estimate which he left in the mailbox. I called back numerous times and left several voicemails to get the bush removal scheduled based on his written estimate, but I never heard back. I eventually found a different contractor to take care of the job. After being impressed with their work earlier for the tree removal, I was disappointed that the bush removal request essentially went ignored. I would have hired them again, if I were able to get in touch.

I think that is very unsatisfactory.

Called on a Monday morning and left a voice mail asking for a call back about an estimate. Called again the next day and left another voice mail to make sure they had the right phone number to reach me. As of 8 days later, have not heard anything at all. If they are too busy currently, they could have told me that- I'm not in a hurry and could wait, but since I haven't heard anything I'll try someone else. Also I was going to recommend them to a friend who needs several trees cut down but have let her know that I got no response at all, so I assume she'll use someone else.

I called for an estimate and they came out the same day. They were able to do the work within two hours of this. This crew did an excellent job of taming these overgrown trees. The gentleman that climbed the trees was amazing. He just got up there and worked his magic to clear out and shape up the branches. A natural wonder. The crew worked well, coordinated and fast. They were fast, polite and cleaned up all areas. You would never know they were here. My neighbor didn't even know they were in her yard. That's how good they are. I will hire them again when it's time. Very pleased.

From the time I called them for an estimate to the time that they'd come to my house and completed the work was maybe 90 minutes. Professional work, fairly priced and super fast.

I got the estimate the week previous. They said I did not have to be home for the service -- I always like that. But I arrived while they were working and they add a couple of suggestions from me. All went well.

I would hire them again and refer them to anyone that needs a tree service

Prompt with initial quote, worked with me when I delayed the work a couple months, and their pricing was good compared to the other quotes I got. Work performed professionally and promptly. Clean-up was FANTASTIC! Very happy with their service!

The communication was great. Once on site, Rick suggested removing a tree and laid out our options prior to doing the work. They made sure I was happy with the work and explained we should think about removing other trees in the future. Cleaned up after themselves and were professional.

They were friendly, showed up on time, cleaned up really well, and very nice. I would recommend them.
