Description of Work: Their cable boxes were not fumigated between customers homes (as it was eventually explained to me this is not the companies standard practice to do so). A couple weeks into using the service we noticed the LEDs on the digital read out would go off and on but left it up to old equipment. The service wasn't great (speed for the internet really slow and the cable would pixelate in and out) but out of pure disinterest in cancelling and setting up a new service, I left it. A few months later doing a deep clean inside the cabinet removing and wiping under components we noticed cockroaches which completely freaked out my Mom who was helping and family. Then we lifted the cable box and what seemed like hundreds of cockroaches scattered in all directions. We almost gutted the small one floor house of personal belongings and found where a few had migrated into the kitchen. At first we were too mortified and ashamed to even try to investigate the cause. We got what we could to fumigate the house and get back to feeling normal and would still notice a random little "friend" making it uncomfortable to have anyone visit. When I finally decide the WOW service had gotten too bad to avoid, I shopped around to change cable/internet provider I noticed that one of the CSRs talked specifically about how their company always checked, tested, and fumigated all used equipment before taking into a new customers home. The pieces started coming together and when confronting WOW the rep was kind but didn't deny that fumigation was not performed when asked outright. I was instructed to tightly wrap the equipment in trash bags and drop it off within the allotted time. Livid at this point, I asked how customers like myself were being compensated for the mortifying and expensive experience. I got another sorry and click. It took another month and the help and love of my entire family coming to help but roached were gone. I know the story is long but it's something I don't believe anyone else should go through. I really hope this is isolated but please be careful.

Description of Work: We cut the cable and phone, keeping only basic internet. Saved $160 a month. WOW rep didn't give us any sales pitch to stay, he respected our decision. However, it took 3 calls to finally get a representative who we could understand and with whom we felt comfortable. WOW's service has deteriorated since they started off-shoring their customer service.

Description of Work: I was surprised that there was a $50.00 charge for a service call and repair. We had our own router so I am assuming it was because our material is what had to be replaced.

Description of Work: Switched to WOW from Time Warner. The technician and sales representative that were involved in my service were very professional, personable and punctual. The services have been working exactly as advertised and I couldn't be more pleased.

Description of Work: Needed to drop off cable box since I was moving. Their rep double checked one more time to see if WOW offered service in the area I was moving to. Unfortunately, WOW, whom I have used for years and whom I have always found has GREAT service, was not available. So he provided me with really good information on the two providers who were available in my new area which helped me decide which provider to go with.
