Great. My only issue was the first bill was late being sent to me and Wow charged me a late fee for their mistake.

Installation was quick and easy. There was a problem with our connection a week after the installation, which they corrected after a few days. The delay was longer than I would have liked, but the company reduced the monthly fee accordingly. Since then, all has been good.

I have had them for a couple of years. I have to call every year because they up my bill. I don't change my programming or anything and then all of a sudden my bill goes up to $120 to $130. Then I call and say not to do that. I ask if they can help me and then they lower it down to $100. Their customer service is good. They are so great, except several months ago I got people from another country. Apparently they expanded and sent some of their work across the sea or over to another country and I could not hardly understand them. I asked if they could help me, but they couldn't so I just hung up. Accidently, I called back and asked what happened and found out that I could ask for somebody in the United States which I do now. I don't use them in India or wherever they are from. I don't like it.

I can't believe I waited so long to switch to WOW. As a long-time user of Time Warner Internet, I was constantly frustrated after any experience with their customer service people. I was regularly harassed with phone calls to add services, not to mention they would change my rates every year or so without notice. By the time we finally moved and I looked into other service providers I was paying almost $70 for just internet!!! WOW was highly recommended by some friends and co-workers so I thought we'd give them a call. It was shockingly easy to sign up for service over the phone and I got a GREAT rate! HALF of what I was paying for the same internet AND there was no year-long contact I was roped into. I can't say enough good things about the people I've interacted with through WOW. They are prompt and respectful of me and my time. I am thrilled every time I open my bill and see the SAME rate as the day i signed up! No surprises, finally! I should have switched years ago.

Had WOW for many years and referred several friends to them. However the ongoing issue with pixelization on digital channels combined with the rude customer service and their charging afee for everything has me switching soon. Hopefully there won't be a fee to cancel service.

On or about September 5, 2014 at approximately 5 P.M I was engaged with WOW Customer Support person, Allison #H6421 (NOI) regarding a continuing 9 month old grievance regarding faulty service. Without warning all services including phone was terminated/cut-off leaving my health, my life, and my property in great peril and jeopardy. There has been no attempt to contact me or restore my service. UPDATE: As of 11/5/2014 WOW continues to bill me for terminated services. I?m receiving harassing phone calls and letters threatening to ruin my credit if I don?t pay. UPDATE: As of 12/16/2014 WOW's William Wright is ignorant of the facts and refuses to investigate the evidence I provided which proves Ms. Allison #6421 did in fact violate FCC Law, i.e. "Termination of Service". WOW is now engaged in condoning and supporting this lawless act by their actions/inactions. Yesterday I had to make contact with their customer service department because their website, for account management login, was not working properly. Although I was informed that some of their web based services were down at the moment, the customer service rep took the time to look up all the inquiries I was intending to make had I been able to log into my account. She went over my most recent bill and gave me line item details of the transactions, she was very professional, and the response time (in between waiting on a rep and someone actually getting on the phone) was very quick. I have been a WOW customer for a very long time and I feel that they have the most competitive pricing amongst other companies that offer the same services. The cost of service that I quoted above is the approximate amount of my bill and that's for a bundle of services that include signature cable, high speed internet and unlimited local calling. I also have 2 DVRs; 4 boxes total as the other 2 are regular boxes. All for approximately $140. There was a time when the promotions I received had expired and my bill increased but I called them immediately and they just replaced some credits on my account to where the bill was affordable again. I can't say anything negative about this company as my experience has been all positive; even when they may have an outage, etc. they are prompt to make sure service is restored for their customers. My mom just recently switched over to them from a satellite service provider and she is now getting more for her buck and at a cheaper price and without a contract. I would definitely recommend them.

Probably pretty average cable, internet and phone provider. No major problems but reception on some of the local channels hasn't been that good. Service is good and technicians have been prompt and pleasant. Internet service has been good. Price seems a little high but maybe average for local market.

The repairman came at the appointed time, very friendly. He replaced our very old modem with a new one because our old one was too old to receive updates anymore. Their service is great, but they had me try a lot of other things to correct the problems we were having, until I said we had old equipment. That is when she went and checked what equipment we had. If I hadn't mentioned it, I am sure it wouldn't have been looked at. My suggestion is when equipment goes out of date, they should be proactive and exchanging out the old for new.

When I received a letter from WOW telling me that they were going to raise my rate by $9 per month, I started checking for alternatives. That's how i discovered that WOW was advertising the package that I had for $28 less per month than they were charging me. I can only guess how long they have been charging me more than they were charging newer customers. The difference was over $300 per year! When I called and questioned my rate, they immediately reduced it to the advertised one. But they won't do it on their own. You need to keep checking up on them and call when they pull something like that. I would feel a lot better about doing business with them if they would make these types of adjustments without me having to take the initiative.

I switched from Time Warner Cable to WOW cable internet, telephone and television services. The installers were great, though they had some difficulty hooking up the telephone system so that my home alarm would work. (It winds up that the ADT box was 15 years old and had been set up for pulse telephone signals instead of the more modern tone system. ADT updated this and it's fine now.) The internet signal, wi-fi and telephone signals are fine. HOWEVER when I received my first bill I found that the monthly bill was $20 HIGHER THAN I HAD BEEN PROMISED!!!!.... $5 additional rental for the DVR, $5 more here, $5 more there.... In irritation I cancelled the TV subscription and bought my own DVR at Walmart so I can time shift programs I pick up over the air on my TV antennae. I get all the good TV programs I need from PBS (WOSU) and network televison stations and can watch them whenever I like for free! If you're a big fan of public televgision and/or don't watch much TV, you can save yourself a lot of money by cutting your cable TV!!

Our experience with them has been spotty. There is a lot of noise on the line. Recently, we had our internet drop out. The overall experience has been average. The individuals that I talk to, like the technicians, I would give an A, but not the company. We are staying with them because it is difficult to change e-mail addresses.

I acquired a new computer with Windows 7 to replace an older computer with XP and have had major problems with my WOW email account. Every time I call tech support I get a different answer. One support person told me I needed Outlook Express, which is an XP program. I bought Outlook 2010 as a result of that advice, which I didn't actually need. Windows 7 has been in use for over a year, but this WOW tech support person obviously has not yet been trained in the new Microsoft operating system. It makes you wonder how deep the rot goes at WOW. This is a small company (compared to their rivals) and apparently they have trouble keeping up with the latest technology. The monthly fee keeps going up.

I wanted wireless internet for our laptop computer and also wanted faster internet capabilities as compared to the previous dial-up service we had. We had researched WOW and were interested. We got information at a promotional event and later called to arrange installation. Our salesman was easy to work with, but slow to respond because of personal issues. Installation for the internet service was done within several days, but the phone installation took a little longer due to problems with my previous carrier (first bill was pro-rated). All work was done well, including burying the cable, and I received a phone call to inform me about the delay in phone service. I was overall pleased with service and installation, but it would have been nice to have been informed of possible delays when I signed up for the service rather than initially expecting phone and internet installation at the same time or expecting the cable to be buried within 10 days rather than 14. I was pleased that both the salesman and installer gave me phone numbers in which I could reach them personally if I had questions or problems, even if the problems were due to the wireless router which I purchased elsewhere.
Description of Work: Installed broadband internet service and digital phone. This involved burying cable and installing modem.
