I've used them off and on for the last 20 years. They are good and their prices are in the ballpark. They are always punctual and always do a good job. They don't try to sell me stuff that I don't need. I also use them at my parent's house.

We had a $5000.00 estimate from another company, and we thought that was too much. I called Whempys and they were quick to respond and told we didn't need half the work the other company wanted to do. Within a week the work was done. We have been able to have safe fires for your enjoyment.

He was a friendly, chatty kind of guy. They were very busy and didn't get dispatched out to us right away. It works fine now. They had so much on their plate and when they said they were going to show up they were here and when they called up and said they were on their way it was a knock on the door.

I will use them again in the future.

The serviceman showed up did a thorough inspection, Informed me that I didn't need a cleaning. He told me somethings to look for, gave me some advice on preventative techniques and helped me determine when I would need a cleaning.

Great service. Arrived on time and was very efficient. Gave me the better deal of online coupon versus Angie's List discount, without me asking for it. Checked out a problem with smoke coming through a gap and found no problem. Didn't try to sell unnecessary repair. Very pleased with service. Felt they were honest and did a thorough job. Will definitely use again!

A service representative from Whempy's was very prompt in arriving to inspect and clean our chimney. He indicated that the chimney did not require a cleaning and offered some suggested repairs to the chimney crown which had three small cracks that needed to be sealed with silicon. We appreciated Whempy's for only charging us for the inspection and providing some suggested repairs that we could do ourselves. We will use Whempy's services next year given their great service.

The fireplace was inspected with a flashlight and found to be clean so we didn't need any services. They did instruct on product to purchase and how to clean the creosote from the gas logs. Price seems a little high for the 5 minutes that they were here. I had read in Angies' List booklet that even fireplaces with gas logs needed inspected which is why I had this service performed.

First of all, my wife and I really appreciated the and quot;reminder calland quot; of our appointment the evening before the job was to begin. Then, Chris arrived the next morning and began immediately setting up his equipment to begin the cleaning process. He did a great job of cleaning the firebox and chimney. He also worked on the damper that had become blocked from opening all the way. He was very thorough in making sure the firebox and chimney were cleaned properly and protecting the hearth and carpet from debris. He also offered some helpful information on the types of gas log inserts that are available . Overall, it was a job well done and we were very satisfied with the results.

Cleaned the fireplace and chimney. On time, called day before to confirm, tidied up after service. For time spent (less than half and hour,) it did seem a bit expensive.

Overall it was a good experience. Called the night before to confirm the appointment in a 3 hour window. Thomas showed up around 10, cleaned the chimney and chatted with me a bit. Chimney and fireplace area were spotless and had a fire that night even know it was like 60 degrees out :)

We bought the house about 10 months ago and had not used the chimney. The home inspection had said the chimney appeared to be in satisfactory condition but we wanted to have it cleaned and inspected further (home inspection suggested a level 2 inspection) before using it this winter. They were very punctual and were able to come out within a week of calling them. The service worker was right on time and very polite. He said that the chimeny had actually been swept after the last use and did not need to be cleaned which I really appreciated. However, it was my mistake, but I did not realize they would only be doing a visual inspection. We basically paid $65 for the same information we received in our initial home inspection. Again, this was my error as I think I just assumed the inspection would include more than a visual inspection of the chimney and need to research what the level 2 inspection is! Overall I was very pleased with Whempys and would use them in the future.

I will be calling Whempy's the next time I need my chimney cleaned.

I was pleasantly surprised when he informed me that the fireplace was clean and in good condition, so there was no need to clean it! I only had to pay for a service call and inspection. I would use Whempy's again. I was quite pleased with the service.

After they were finished with the job they cleaned up after themselves nicely. They are very thorough in there evaluations. The crew was on time the day off the job. They were very friendly and professional as well. I can't think of anything bad to say about them at all.

Fantastic. Individual came out on time and was very professional. He helped me remove the front cover that we did not want and then showed me what he was looking for on the inside of the fireplace and informed me everything was OK and we did not need a chimney sweep. We then went on the roof and inspected the brick etc. Lastly he came inside and showed me how to open the gas and light it. Although a little more $ than I wanted to spend for what was done, but you can't beat bringing someone in who knows all of it and is honest. Will definitely use them again and highly recommended.

It went great! The gentleman was very courteous, loved my dogs, neat, cleaned up after himself, explained what and why he was doing things and gave me all the options for the recommendations.

They did a good thorough job. I am still getting a little bit of dust in the house but it seems that it has decreased.
