Overall it went very well. I really appreciated that they were honest about what we needed. Our rep was courteous and professional.

Overall, I was pleased with the service. James seems to be expert at his work. Depending on the estimate for the squirrel guards, I may use Whempy's again.

Jared was the tech who came out and was kind enough to call a half an hour ahead as I'd expressed concern over an elderly nervous cat. He was polite, thoughtful, quick (20 min tops) and pointed out areas that I should keep an eye on, but knowing I am unemployed said the fireplace would be fine for a few years. He also checked the cap. Am very pleased with this company. Very friendly scheduling and very friendly worker. I'd recommend them to any family member or friend.

This is the second time I have used this company and would hire them again.

Whempy's was pleasant on the phone both when I made the appointment and when I called to reschedule for the following week. They arrived at the appointed time and was very neat and tidy throughout the cleaning of the firebox and chimney.

I scheduled an inspection and sweep on my fireplace. When the technician came out, it was clear that he was new and not ready to be out on his own yet. He was professional and kind, but charged me for a sweep (which wasn't needed) and inspection, but didn't perform an inspection. After asking a couple questions, I learned that he was in fact new on the job. So I kindly asked that they send out a more experienced tech for the inspection. Whempy's without hesitation scheduled a second visit with a more experienced tech who completed a thorough inspection and took time to explain the process. If it weren't for having to waste two days of appointment time, I would have given them an and quot;Aand quot;.

Very well. Gave us an honest assessment. Did not perform an unnecessary cleaning. Told us that based on usage would not need to be respected for another 3 years.

Asked them to call me before they came and I was out of phone range and missed the first attempts and got a final call from the main office. They could have easily had me reschedule the appointment but they got in touch with the service tech and James turned around and came to do the service. He cleaned quickly and cleaned up any soot that might have gotten outside of the fire place opening. I was very pleased with the service and will use them again in the future!!!

Technician showed up on time. He was courteous, and friendly. He spread out tarp on hearth and cleaned up after sweeping chimney. It took about 15 minutes for complete service. Very satisfied.

We are in the process of selling our home and after the buyers had the home inspection performed, we were made aware there was a large crack in our chimney liner. I called a local masonry company and Whempy's for estimates. Whempy's came on the date and time they promised and wrote up a work order. The representative sent the work order to the home office the next morning. Approximately 3 business days later, we received a written estimate from Whempy's to replace the liner for $2,100. This quote was $1,400 less than the one from masonry company. I immediately printed the estimate, signed it and mailed it, along with a check covering the 50% deposit to the home office. Approximately 4 business days later, I was contacted to schedule the work. We scheduled the work for the morning of 9/26. Bobby showed up on time and was finished in less than 5 hours. He was clean and professional. We are very satisfied with Whempy's.

Whempy's was recommended to me by another service vendor. I contacted them to set-up the appointment and they were able to fit me in on a day that worked best for my schedule even though it was a little over-booked for them. I originally called them for a fireplace/chimney cleaning, but they said our fireplace looked great and didn't need one. I ended up just having to pay them for the service visit, which was a nice surprise. Overall they did a nice job, were able to fit me in when I needed them, and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. I will definitely call them again in the future.

He came in and explained what he was going to do and was over in 10 minutes. He cleaned up after himself. Fast easy job.

Company was hired for Chimney Inspection as part of home inspection. Whempy's employee spent about 15 minutes looking at fireplace, chimney - said he couldn't give us a level 2 inspection unless chimney was swept. I inquired about a camera scope, he casually stated that would be a lot more money and still not worth the spend unless chimney was swept. I don't know why this wasn't explained to me when I booked the appointment - or why he didn't honor the coupon or offer on sweeping/inspection combo. Employee was unprofessional in approach, questions asked and explanations for repairs.

the worker arrived within the time frame. Explained the procedure. Was here about 1 1/2 hrs. Would use again.

Did a good job, but just seems like $130 ($139 with tax) is a lot for a simple cleaning that took less than 30 minutes. And that's with a $20 repeat customer discount from the normal $150 price.

Whemps came out to do an estimate for me to replace a chimney chase cover. I agreed to do the work based on the estimate, and the work was scheduled. When they came to do the work the service man they sent said that all of the measurements were incorrect, including the dimensions for the actual cover as well as the hole that would allow the flue to extend up and thru. He said he would have to order a new chase cover that was made to the correct dimensions, and that it would only be 3 or 4 days and he would be back to complete the work. That was on May 10th. Since then I have contacted them numerous times to follow up on when the work would be done since I had already given them the information for the required deposit. Each time I called they said that they were having a problem getting a supplier to get them a chase cover with a 13 1/2 inch opening in the cover for the flue, because " the suppliers only work with other companies", and not them. They promise each week that they will get it ordered and call me back to reschedule. Going on 2 1/2 months and they never have called me back so I have had to follow up with them, and get the same story again and again. I can guess why they haven't followed up as a professional company would normally do, because they have a quote that they totally messed up on the measurements. I did try to ask them what the measurements were when they scheduled the work but was told that "they are right". I also asked if the rep doing the work would be the same one that did they estimate and they said it would not be the same rep. They asked why and I said I had some concerns about that reps experience level. Obviously I had real reason the question his competency as it turned out, after all. So I must assume they are not able or competent to provide a timely, accurate, quality service for customers. They are unable to correctly estimate the work cost and are unable to honor their estimates.

I would give them B's. I think I would use them again if they had a good deal going on.

I thought they did a good job. They are very friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves really well. I was happy with everything. I was told a wrong price by someone else, but they honored that price. I have them on file to use again.

Contacted them, was quoted one price, called back after comparing prices and was quoted a slightly lower price and provided the Angie's List discount on top of it. Technician arrived a little early spent about 17 minutes inspecting a cleaning chimney. Accepted payment (a check), and left, leaving no mess. Did the work promised and for the price negotiated.

They were very good and very punctual. They pointed out some things that I didn't know about and had fixed when I got my fireplace done.

This event today - I'm waiting to hear back from Marie. I saved the morning for this work but she doesn't know if or when I am scheduled. Given my previous experience, I am worried I'll have to reschedule and possibly they won't arrive again.

Very well, was actually early, was personable.

I was satisfied with the work and they were on time.

Whempy's technicians were VERY prompt, professional and efficient. I would absolutely hire them again.

They did a good job and I got a good deal.
