Watershed Organic Landscape and Lawn Care

Jim responded to our inquiry immediately, came out to the house, gave us an estimate and thorough explanation of his services. We decided to use this service and it was done within less than a week. Excellent service and great price.

Jim told me that I needed a certain fertilizer, then missed the timing for the fertilizer. I called him a couple of times to get the next fertilization, but he did not give me a definite date. I only knew after returning from a vacation that he had applied something because his sign was on my yard. I called him two or three times for the next application, but he never showed up. I finally gave up on him.

We were really interested in doing lawn care that wasn't chemical because we had a dog that ended up with cancer. The vet was concerned that pesticides, heribicides and that kind of stuff might have caused it. We got a new dog and we are trying to go organic and still have a nice looking lawn. We will look at it again in the spring because the lawn has taken a beating with the new dog. My husband wanted to do the work himself but he wasn't sure what to use so he called them to get the product. The things are a little more expensive because it is organic.

This company is very good: professional, on time and really knows the business. I have scheduled Jim to come out twice a year for this work going forward and will have him do more yard work in the spring, such as edging and mulching.

They are great. They show up, and if they don?t feel like the grass needs to be cut they skip the week. I have a decent size yard, and they finish it in 20-25 minutes. They use organic products, and they do fertilization and weed prevention.

They had given the cheapest estimate of all other companies. I would grade them high across all the categories. They were professional and punctual. The quality was good.

They are very knowledgable and skilled and are very nice to work with. They use products that attract bees, butterflies and birds to our lawn, and all products are green and organic.

Jim, the owner returned my voice mails, got me an estimate timely for a busy time of year and when I called to request his service, it was done quickly. Watershed bills you on a monthly basis. I chose Watershed because of the organic products but also because they don't try to sell you more treatments than are truly necessary, like other companies I spoke with. I will continue to use this company for fertilizing and for pre-emergent treatments. I am also considering them for some of the other services they provide.

They did call me back, which I appreciated. Jim Roberts apparently could not do the work, but he suggested the I call a hardware store to see if they could recommend someone. I was grateful that he called me back and tried to be helpful even though he does not do that type of work.

I was disappointed to hear that they do not mow lawns in the Columbus (bordering Westerville) area. It would be nice if you could see that somewhere for this company.

Our yard was a disaster. To get some one to take the project seriously was difficult. Jim has done a fabulous job.

They are a very dependable company. They do a good job. They usually show up when they say they are going to. They do a nice job cleaning up after themselves.

As expected. Jim kept me informed of any developments as he progressed with the project.

It's not as easy to get your lawn looking good when using organic care but over time it looks good with less watering & better for the kids playing on it & environment so we went with Watershed to try them out. They have not been very good at responding to our calls in a timely manner so that some issues have not been addressed as quickly as they should have been. Overall they have a plan for our lawn & we think it will look better each year!

They are very good about grass cutting. They sent me a postcard for me to list what I want done, but never asked about what time would be best. When I came home everything was already done. I was disappointed that no one told me when they were coming, because if I had thought of something else I wasn't able to point it out to them, which is my fault.

We have used this company for a number of years, and I have recommended them to several neighbors and friends. The good folks at Watershed do it all for us, and the cost is quite reasonable. We have used the following services: mowing, leaf removal, tree removal, spring clean up, autumn clean up and prep for winter, clearing the gutters, lawn weed control and fertilization. -- Our costs average around $150 a month.

Everything went as planned. An old garden was removed and prepared for grass, several bushes removed and a tree was cut down. I seeded my own grass and it has filled in nicely. Job well done.

Convenient delivery of organic lawn products on application schedule.

Jim came up with a plan that included hand application of herbicide for a super-weedy lawn. He was wiling to work within my budget, was responsive and friendly. Watershed did a great job and I definitely plan to hire them again in the future.

They are very tidy, they are good at getting the job done. They are very professional. They are friendly. I would recommend them to others and I will keep using them. I've used them for years.

The price is per month for maintenance. They are great! My lawn has never looked better. They are very responsive. It is really nice to see a company that is working for the environment, and that is one of the main reasons we chose them. I will continue to use their services in the future and would recommend them to others.

They were very patient, conscientious and stayed within estimate which was way cheaper than everyone else I spoke with. He had to cancel one day but he called first and let me know why.

Jim came out early in the morning, walked around the near-basement parts of the yard, and explained that dumping enough dirt to change the slope that much would, among other things, cover up the basement windows. Also, he explained, the water would just sink down through the dirt until it got low enough that it could seep into the basement anyhow. I'd just be making the water work harder to get into the basement. So, there seemed no point in having this work done.

He offered to include in the contract cutting off my storm door b/c it would not open after the pavers were laid. That was nice of him so I wouldn't have to worry about hiring another company to come out and do that for me. He also willing to add a few extra pavers that I requested next to a trellis.

The trees, bushes, and shrubs around our house were in need of heavy pruning. Watershed came out and inspected the property. Watershed provided an estimate to my wife for around $200-250 dollars to prune everything on the lot. I called Watershed back about 2 weeks later and verbally confirmed that I wanted EVERYTHING on the property to be pruned. I was given a verbal work estimate of 6 hours to prune all trees, bushes, and shrubs on the property not to exceed $300 out the door. Watershed came out to do the work a few weeks later and we are VERY disappointed with the results. While they did an acceptable job on our peach tree they completely skipped out largest bed in the front of our lot and several bushes around the rest of the property. While Watershed did provide some helpful suggestions about where to let bushes grow together in a row, the final bill was $357.61 and we will not use them again. We were also disappointed by the quality of the work: did not look professional.
