Watershed Organic Landscape and Lawn Care

Jim was very prompt to return my call, dropped by the house to give the estimate quickly, was pleasant to talk with, was willing to chat about potential future planting projects (without trying to up-sell). Jim researched some questions I had that he didn't know the immediate answer to about pruning (even though that wasn't part of any of the work for this job or a future one). The work was scheduled for within a few days of us choosing their estimate and was carried out as promised. I usually do all of my own gardening, but I will definitely use Watershed again to help get going on larger projects or maintenance I don't have time to do.

They were okay. It was not perfect, but it was okay last year. The Deal was fine. I had to clean up all the gravel because it ended up in the street with the leaves.

Did a good job and the yard looked great

I can recommend them for fertilization of lawn. It is a very little company. They're fantastic. We've got a beautiful lawn in the area and we credit Watershed for it. It's a two-men outfit. It's all organic. Boy! we've never had such gorgeous grass. They come only two or three times a year. They're very reasonably priced. The critical thing is it's organic. They use no chemicals. They're nice people. They're very discrete. We don't even know when they come. We just get a bill from them.

After the 4 hours, they completely stopped working, and just left. This is what I paid for, but I would have been happy to pay for any extra time to complete the job, had they let me know they were unable to finish.

It was applied. Nice guy. Responsive. Quite expensive.

I first contacted this company for an estimate. Over the course of a few weeks, we weren't even able to get an estimate (and I didn't even have to be there for it). We were messaging on Angie's List and I kept being told that messaging on AL was difficult (explaining the delay I guess?). However, on at least three occasions through the overall conversation, I had provided my email. So...maybe use that? He finally suggested I should go with another company.... Yes, I had already reached that conclusion.

My wife gave the provider specific instructions on areas that needed attention. I would recommend Watershed to others in need of landscape assistance.

They were wonderful! On time and I would recommend them to anyone. Very nice to deal with.

Everything went great. They had to change the date for the clean up (weather), but notified me and rescheduled easily. Arrived promptly on the date scheduled, did work efficiently. I realized that I had forgotten to tell them about something I wanted done and they did it with no questions asked. Very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone else.

Three people originally came, worked for a couple of hours and came back to finish. They pruned a lot of shrubs and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.

Prior to servicing I asked the provider to come sometime during the last 2 weeks in Nov as that's when all of the leaves in my backyard (LOTS of trees!) were usually completely down. My husband calls me at work in early November saying the leaf guys are on site. I spoke with the owner (he and crew were on site) and reminded him of our conversation. He removed all leaves from yard and beds that day and then came back in early December to finish the job. I thought that to be amazing customer service! All leaves were removed from beds, driveway, walkway, deck, everywhere! I HIGHLY recommend this provider and I will use him again next year.

Had prepaid for 4 hours but was able to stay longer to finish the work. All the workers were pleasant and polite.

I wanted the service done close to the time I purchased, October 26. They were not able to do until mid-November.

Very prompt and responsive to phone calls. Three guys came out and worked 1hr 20 mins and weed flower beds. Did a nice job preparing beds for winter. I thought they would have gotten more done with three guys, but was not there to observe how difficult the work was.

We were familiar with this company because they have been doing our organic lawn fertilizing and weed control this summer. Our experience with that has been superb. We had nearly given up on organic lawn care because we hadn't been able to do it very well ourselves and two other lawn services we tried weren't any more successful. The lawn was really getting pretty weedy. The folks at Watershed Organic Lawn Care really know what they're doing because we have seen an amazing improvement in our lawn in just one summer. It was more lush and green than we've seen it in years. That said, we were expecting good things from the fall clean-up service and we got more than we'd even hoped for. My, husband who has managed properties professionally for 28 years, raved about the quality of their work for days. He said the pruning and shaping were among the best he'd ever seen. Needless to say, I'm delighted too. They did everything on our list and got it done in the 4 hour special pricing. Watershed is so easy to work with. They understood what we were trying to achieve with our plantings and made our yard look great! This company is a jewell!

Provider did a fantastic job. He was punctual, professional, and did exactly what we asked him to do. The landscaping looks wonderful! We have tried several lawn/landscaping services, and this one was the best! Highly recommend!

They contacted me Saturday morning but come to find out they don’t service my area.

I received an email saying that he could not honor the Big Deal I purchased because I am out of their service area. I am only 18 miles from them!!! I see in the reviews that this is a pattern with this business. I think this was just a scam to solicit a bigger job. I was told to contact Angies List to get a refund.

The provider was not able to do the work. He contacted me and told me that he does not come to my area.

The company emailed me to let me know I am out of their service area and to get a refund.

After an initially bumpy start, ie "the deal" being interpreted as including haul away, I was very pleased with the service I received from Jim. He did a great job and spent the full four hours working hard. He also stayed after to give me some tips and information about my yard as I had just returned home. He did haul away all of the trimmings.

Organic fertilizer was applied as expected. We had a couple of weedy places in the yard. The spot application of herbicides they applied was effective. They did fail to follow our instructions regarding no use of herbicides in the yard immediately behind the house, but we were able to stop the application in that area before he got too far. They hosed down the area that was treated in error to minimize the impact of the herbicide. I really appreciate the care and concern they took to correct the error. Our lawn looks the best it has ever looked--color is good, grass seems thicker and is growing well. The grass seems so healthy now that I don't think we'll need any spot applications of herbicides in the future. We are so glad we chose this company for our lawn care and we will continue to use them. What a win-win situation ----the lawn looks better and organic is much better for the environment!

I called to set up a time for landscaping at my home. I left a message for Jim on May 12 but did not hear back from him, so I called on May 16 and spoke with him. We set up a time for him to come to my home for the following Tue, May 20 at 2:00. He requested photos of the area which I texted to him on May 19. He never showed on Tues and he never contacted me again.
