This company gave me a very nice amount of instruction on a previous phone call. On the phone this time, they gave me a couple of quotes for replacing the entire unit. When the technician arrived, he said we did not need to replace the entire unit. Our gear and relay system was stripped. I asked him what my condition of the garage door was in based upon a previous company I used a year prior. He let me know I should replace it within the next 5 years, but if I wanted to replace it for the government rebate I could. It did not need to be replaced for aging. This technician was very wonderful to work with and gave me great instructions on my garage door. He let me know how the openers work and why replacing the entire unit was unnecessary. His tips will be very useful in the future! He actually knew why we had the trouble with the door today based upon a spring replacement a few years prior. After he finished, the door was no longer grinding and it is in beautiful shape. I feel safe and comfortable using our garage again!! I will definitely use this company for any future needs.

The whole process went great. The guy that initially came out was very nice and personable. He answered all my questions. Scheduling the appointment was easy, the garage door was installed without issue and works great. And their price was very reasonable!

After callling several companies, United was the only one who could come out same day. Cars were in the garage and we needed to get to work. Price was very reasonable...about $50 cheaper than a leading competitor 12 years before!!!

I am thrilled. They fixed it and we had no issues with it at all. I think that is excellent customer service.

In leaving for work one Monday morning, the garage door wouldn't open. I could see that one of the torsion springs had broken. Being a wooden door, it was too heavy for me to open manually, so I was stranded! I called the company that I'd used before, but they didn't answer the phone and I had to leave a message. I waited an hour for a call-back, and then checked Angie's List for another garage door service provider. I found United Garage as highly rated, and their ad included a website address, from which I learned about their same-day service and even the approximate amount I would expect to pay. I called - they came out about 3 hours later. Unfortunately, they didn't have the torsion springs for my particular (old) door, so they had to order them. However, Mark helped me lift the door so I could at least get my car out. They called me on Wednesday to say they had the parts and would be out the next morning. Sure enough, at 9:00am, a service person was there, and by 10:00 my garage door was working perfectly again! They even gave me an Angie's List discount, so I just couldn't be happier with this company and their service!

I would use United Garage Door again in a heartbeat. The woman who answered the phone was super friendly and was able to get me scheduled same day for service. The technician that came out checked out the door and within 10 minutes knew what the problem was and 20 minutes later my garage door was back in working order.

I contacted them by phone. The person was very friendly and courteous. They scheduled me for the same day. They called before hand to let me know when they were on the way (2 hour window). They arrived on time, did the work we discussed, and were very friendly and professional. The quality of the job is good, and the door no longer jerks when first openning (bonus).

The company responded to my request in serveral hours after the call and completed the work within 45mins of arrival to my home. they insure that all bolts and cables were properly tighten. explain and showed work that we completed. Came with a 5 year warrantee.

Great experience. from the my original phone call to discussing the situation with the service man, I appreciated honest advice and allowing me to talk thru and decide if I wanted or needed to replace the door. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Everything has turned out fine. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. I would use them again if needed.

They were very quick about coming out, they came out right away. They did a good job and could have just said "you need a new door", but he said he could fix it and it would last for a while. He thought it would get me through the winter then I could worry about getting a new door later. It was a very consumer friendly environment.

I called UGD on Monday evening or Tuesday morning and was able to schedule a service call on Wednesday morning. The assessment was quick and thorough, and the result was expected: The opener was worn out and had to be replaced. The technician did not disparage my rusty garage door or try to sell me anything more than a basic opener. However, no one had put an extra opener on the truck that morning, so installation had to wait until the next day. UGD was able to put it in without my having to be there and offered me a small discount for the delay. A few days later, the technician was in the neighborhood and refastened some of the seal strip on the bottom edge of the garage door.

They were very prompt and even were available the day I called. I asked them to call me when the repair person arrived so I could have my dogs in a share place. They called me as asked and performed the work to fix the opener. I asked a lot of questions while he was working and he shared information with me and told me what to use yearly to keep the door parts lubricated correctly.

Everything went smoothly. The technician took the time to fully assess the problem, address the issues, and discuss some basic things to do to maintain function in the future.

This company went above and beyond. When I called about my stuck garage door, they were pleasant and told me they could come out the next day. However, when they found out it was stuck in the open position, they called and found someone who could make a stop between jobs. He found the problem right away and also found some additional problems with how the door was installed that I wouldn't have even known about. He fixed all the problems in about a half hour and just charged their very reasonable service charge. He could have charged me more or said I needed a new garage door, but was very honest that he would rather have a happy customer than the money. I would recommend them to anyone.

My garage door starting acting strange during the summer. I didn't want to deal with it. So as long as it opened and closed I was okay. Then a cable snapped but the door was still functional, so I again ignored it. But I would be very careful when entering and exiting the garage. About a week ago upon opening and closing the garage door would go down lope sided and it would make a horrible noise as it reached the floor. At that point I realized it needed repair and stopped using it. Dilemna...who to call. Then I remembered... Angie's List. United Garage Door had excellent reviews and was close to home. So I called. They were courteous, prompt, friendly and professional. They came out the next day to assess the problem.
