Two Men And A Truck

They did a great job, and I wouldn't think of using anyone else! They did a great job, got right to work, they were prompt, and it even took less time than I expected. They were very nice young men, and I can't say enough about how good the experience was!

While they were there one of the men made me uncomfortable because he kept asking about different items from the house and offering to buy some of them. When they got there they realized that the quote they gave us was wrong and they called their manager to find out what to charge. They initially said it would be approximately $500 but then they changed it to $1600 after coming to the house. We followed them to the warehouse because we were worried the guy who was asking about our things because we didn't want him to take anything. We were unhappy with the service we received so we decided we were going to have someone else come get our things and store them elsewhere. They said we would have to pay $568 plus a $65 additional fee to move our things to another location because they refuse to allow another company to come to their dock. I just want them to acknowledge their bad service and allow us to have someone else store our things without having to pay the additional charges.

I believe the price was a little high, but I didn't compare. I requested a specific crew that was referred to me and they sent those people. There was some minor damage, however, they were very courteous and helpful.

They always to a great job. They are caring and professional and I moved on a Saturday so they sent four guys to move me quicker.

They arrived on time. They worked quickly but carefully. They had great communication with each other (I have had movers in the past that can be grumpy or even nasty to each other). They did not take any breaks and did not even want to accept a beverage from me. Nothing was damaged. These guys are VERY careful with your home and your furniture.

They were fantastic from start to finish. When I called to find out information they explained how they billed (by the hour in 15 min increments after the first hour) and gave me an initial estimate for the move. On moving day, they actually called and were able to come half an hour earlier than projected and did the move in 2.5 hours (rather than the 3 in the estimate). They sent 3 men out for the move, and they worked efficiently the entire time. While moving into the new place they found out that my futon would not fit up the stairs into the loft (which is where I wanted it to go). Two of the men continued moving my things into the condo, while one of them actually took the futon apart, took it upstairs into the loft and reassembled the futon so that I could have it where I wanted it. They were kind, helpful and hard working and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

The company did not come on time, but was responsive when I phoned an hour or so after our move time. The two men who moved us were pleasant and professional, but seemed new to the business. They sometimes reminded each other of company rules about moving, as if they had just finished their training. The movers also completed the move in less time than anticipated, resulting in a lower bill. They scratched a dresser moving it up the stairs of our new home. I dreaded dealing with the company about having it fixed, but was pleasantly surprised when they immediately made arrangements to have it repaired. The dresser had been in perfect condition before the move, and I again dreaded having it repaired for fear that it would never look good again. But again, I was pleasantly surprised with the work of their repairman. The repair was almost imperceptible.

The movers were professional and efficient. They completed the entire move in less than four hours. I am very pleased with their work and would hire Two Men and a Truck again (though I hope not to move again for a long time).

Good workers. They were strong, efficient and polite. Unfortunately, they were short men on my moving day (the end of the month) and asked me to reschedule. I didn't have to reschedule, but it did make me nervous that the move might not happen as scheduled.

They were one of three estimates we received. We didn't choose them because we were required to go with the lowest price. They were the only company that required a visit to our home to give us an estimate, which was very inconvenient.

Movers were friendly, courteous, hardworking, and trustworthy. Our original estimate was given over the phone. It was very close to the final bill - especially given the fact that nobody had seen the inside of our home prior to the move. Everything seems to have arrived at our final destination unbroken. I think that we could have found a better price elsewhere and that the hourly rates were somewhat steep for literally two men and one truck. That being said, I would feel completely comfortable using them again and that may be worth a certain premium.

I called 4 companies first, and I got various estimates. They quoted $220 and I spoke with Dustin, I told him exactly what I was moving. They moved it a total of 18 miles. The driver said that there were 7 chairs and only put down 4, so they ended up charging me $120 more. I asked Dustin to call me back on that date, 8/18/06. He never called and I called again today and asked for Karen, Dustin's supervisor, and so far she has not returned my call either. The drivers were excellent and took very good care of my furniture. They were very polite. I would use them again, but I would recommend them be more realistic in their prices.

Wonderful, courteous movers. Very careful with belongings. Highly recommend. Time for move quoted was within 15 minutes of the estimate.

Crew showed up during the scheduled window of time promised by the scheduler. Original estimate of 1 hour was upped with my agreement to 1 3/4 hours since we had them move more items than originally requested. Also per original agreement 3 men were used since the move was to a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. The men were very professional and worked fast and extremely hard from start to finish. The record heat wave was in full force with temps in the mid to upper 90s and high humidity which did not seem to slow down the men's work. No damage to any items and items were placed where requested at the new location. The price included a box kit that contained many boxes of varying sizes for a small move. A new truck was used and included all the required equipment, including: dolly, furniture blankets, cargo straps etc. needed to secure the load damage free. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

All three were just wonderful--James, Nate, and Robert--were friendly, hard working, and amazing. They helped me throughout the process--with suggestions and tips. They were very receptive to my needs and suggestions, allowing me to change plans a couple of times, wrapped everything, and assured the experience was as positive as it could be. Moving is never pleasant--but they tried their best to make it a great day--and they did.

Did a great job, very careful, and did not damage anything.

Crew was on time, neat in appearance and pleasant. Assessed the home and informed me that the telephone quote I was provided was grossly underestimated and instead of 5 hours would take 10. In the end it tool 7.5 hours. Worked steady and for the most part careful with furniture. Had some scratches on my washer/dryer that weren't there which could have been avoided with wrapping. Give them a lot of credit for lifting obscenely HEAVY office furniture up narrow stairs to a loft without breaking or scratching. Would recommend them as the best movers I've ever used. Trustworthy.

Representative (Stacey) doing initial estimate over phone was very helpful and professional. She gave us an estimate for 5 hours of work, which ended up being shorter than it really took (7 hours). She neglected to return one of our later phone calls. The two movers, Demetrius and Jeff, were fantastic. They were fast, courteous, and fun! They were very patient with us when we didn't know where we wanted things to go in the new house. They even had to make a second trip to the condo because they ran out of room in the truck the first trip! They did this with no complaints, even though they had another 5 hour job to go to after ours. They seemed to enjoy the company they worked for. We had no damages and are very satisfied. Well worth the cost.

This is the second time I have used this company and I will be back again! They are prompt, courteous, and efficient. The estimate was a little higher than the actual bill, for a change. I like the idea of paying a base charge then pay by the hour. We helped pack and move so it reduced our cost. You may find someone cheaper but ask if they are bonded, insured, etc., and check their references (if any).

The actual cost came in much higher than the estimate. They were punctual, on time. So far from what I've seen, there has been nothing broken. I am just floored in the difference between the estimate and the actual cost. The actual cost was twice as much as the estimate.

I bought a used desk from someone. They moved it from the person's home to my house. She called me after they were at her house to tell me that they dropped the desk on their way out. When they came to my house, the lead mover asked me to sign for the item when I met him at the door. I told him I wanted to inspect it first. They did scrape the desk against the door on the way in. There are some scrapes on the desk. Since it's a used item I can't say for sure if they caused these scrapes or if they were there already. They were on time for the job and were significantly cheaper than other places.

I am a pack-rat. My office was terribly cluttered on moving day. But these movers politely and efficiently made the miserable experience of moving far easier than I'd expected. I greatly appreciated their help--particularly their packing, which was definitely worth paying for.

The phone representative was very helpful and the two young men who completed the move could not have been more pleasant or more hard-working. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The move required nearly seven hours of work.

They truly cared about the furniture that was being moved.

I was very impressed with the quick response to my on-line inquiry regarding an estimate. I did not have them provide this service for me but it nothing to do with the service I did receive.
