Two Men And A Truck

I would say it was a fair experience. I found some things after they had moved that I wasn't too pleased with. After I had moved I went back to the old place and found some pictures leaning up against the wall and some other things that had not been moved. I called and they sent a panel truck and moved the rest of the items for me. There was one thing broken, but I did not bother to tell them about it. It was kind of after the fact, and I thought that I had already bugged them enough.

Although they showed up a little late, they were apologetic and kind. They were very nice and professional, they even moved a dresser out of my basement to the lawn to be picked up by The City. I hadn't estimated the boxes (they give oral estimates based on rooms of furniture and amount of boxes), so it took a lot longer than expected. The were very diligent and hard working, taking a break just for dinner on the way to the new house.

I called and left a message but my call wasn't returned in a few days so I had to call back. A representative came to my house and took an inventory. I was told I would have a quote the next day. I didn't get a quote until five days later and the amount was very high. I went with another company who was much more professional and cost less. Perhaps this company is better with handling local moves.

Each time I called they gave me different excuses. They handled it very unprofessionally when they made excuses. The last time I called to talk to someone, they did finally say that they would make an appointment to meet at the house. Every other company I had talked to would give me a ballpark figure over the phone, but they would not.

Trey, Jason & Andrew arrived on time and were a pleasure to work with throughout our 11-hour, two-city move. Everything was made clear up front, liability, handing already damaged items, travel plans, etc. They were extremely careful and also very quick. Their estimate was close to our actual costs and we were so pleased with the process. This crew was first-class and actually made moving day fun. We have recommended them to several people over the last month.

They were excellent, could not have asked for the move to have gone better. We experienced no breakage and were timely in getting the move performed. We will use them again in the future if the need arises.

Outstanding experience! I have moved several times before and have to say this was my best move. I originally had another company set-up to do the job but, closing got pushed back a day and the other company was booked. I called within a weeks notice and from the start they were very accommodating. They sent a Rep out to do estimate and explained everything thoroughly and offered a couple different options how to get my daughters things moved two weeks later. On move day I had 5 people and all worked very hard and carefully. Everyone on the crew was great, professional and courteous. We still have a few things left to unpack but nothing so far was damaged. Great people to work with.

I thought everyone was very friendly and they were flexible with my move. They had to go to 2 apartments and another location to pick up a washer and dryer which was all done very efficiently.

I could not be happier! I was in a real bind. I had a sofa delivered to my house that would not fit in the basement. The Store's delivery folks left a mess of stacked furniture (new and existing) and would not come out for 4 days to pick up the sofa. I called Two Men and a Truck and explained the situation. They were very professional and sent a crew out with in an hour to help me get the sofa back to the store and to move my furniture back where it belonged. I don't know what I would have done without them today!!

The team (Dan and Dan - which made it real easy for us to remember names) showed up as scheduled on time. We went over the paperwork and did a walk through pointing out what went and what stayed. Because we were so close to the house where the furniture was going, they opted to take two trips and only floor load the truck and not stack things up. Most furniture was wrapped with plastic and then a furniture pad was used to further protect the furniture. They were very careful with our belongings. The two guys worked great as a team and were very efficient in their work effort. When we took the first load over to the new house, we again did a walkthrough and pointed out where we would want furniture. We had to have them move a couple of pieces to another location because the furniture just didn't work where we originally thought it would and they were more than willing to accommodate us changing our minds. They had estimated that it would take 7 hours to do the work and it was just about 7 hours on the nose when they finished, not because they were dragging their feet to run the clock, but because it just took that long. I was very impressed with their work, their professionalism and their attitude. Great job!

It went great. They were right on time. They finished earlier than they had said. They were very careful with belongings and were very nice to work with.

We booked the move on Monday for a move on Tuesday. We got an estimate over the phone for about $280. We were told the movers would be there between 10 and 12 and it would take about two hours. Zolly and Derrick showed up at 9:30 which was great to get an early start. They were done in an hour and only charged us for the hour, $188! Everything was moved without any damage and they did a remarkable job not making a mess as there was snow the night before. Zolly and Derrick made it look easy and were very professional. We would definitely ask for them again.

Very well. I was contacted when they were going to be several hours late. That was not going to work because this was a move in a retirement/assisted living facility where the residents need use of the elevator at certain hours. The manager worked and found a different crew which came and did the move within the parameters of the needs of the residents.

They did really good, when I called to get information, I also faxed them everything I needed moved; they responded quickly and asked if I had stairs (which I thought was important). They were better prepared because of this. Communication was good, they called when they got a little lost. Once they got there, they worked really fast. They were careful. They wrapped everything and they worked hard and did a good job.

First the good. The guys who did the move were great. Energetic, willing to work hard and get the job done. They put in a 12 hour day and were still working hard even into the night after they looked physically beat. They were careful with our stuff and aside from a few minor bumps and scratches (which I would expect from any movers) everything arrived in the same condition that it left in. A+ to the guys who did the work. The bad. The original estimate was for $500, upon arriving the guys said it looked more like a 7 hour job. In the end, it took them over 12 hours. At $100/hour, the total bill rang up to over $1200 with additional fees and everything. The movers handled the situation fairly and only charged us for 9 hours of moving time. I was satisfied with their reduction, but it would have been nice to know the real price going into it, we might have decided it was worth it to get rent a truck and move everything ourselves.

Called on Monday was able to schedule Thursday, phone estimate was $1100 but its fee+hourly so actual came in less, inc. tips $780. Worked steadily 8:45am-11:45am. They arrived between 8-9am as they said. Also carried junk items to garage for later disposal. Were able to remove and replace doors at move-in house since washer/dryer could not fit. Couple of dings here an there but that's expected, no serious damage.

Well. The furniture was handled carefully with no damage to it or the surroundings.

They were pleasant, efficient and protected out belongings well. I even had some antiques and specialty pieces that were not easy to move. They were hard working. I would use them again.

I first called them to get a room by room estimate. When they arrived for the move, they brought only one truck. We said the truck wasn't big enough even though they thought it would hold everything. They ended up having to take two trips. They started moving at 9:00 a.m., it ended 10:30 p.m. Friday night. They got lost twice coming here but they deducted that from the cost. I called before hand to confirm that they were big enough for the job. The estimator said it was fine and it would take no more than 8 hours and would cost approx. $900. It ended up costing $1350. We would hire them for a smaller job but not moving a house.

They estimated the job to be $2000 it ended up costing me $3000. They were supposed to pack my things on one day and move me the next day. They only had two guys come to pack and I have a 4000 square foot home. They left behind enough things to fill a two car garage that the people who purchased my house ended up packing. They charged me an extra $1000 to move the things that they should have moved in the first place. They didn't place the boxes in the proper rooms i.e. clothes put in the basement and not in the bedroom etc...I have tried to a supervisor and he just didn't care.

We were very happy. It worked out well.

Great. The guys were great to work with, very professional and very willing to help us move this heavy piece. They were careful and finished the job. I will definitely hire them for future needs.

They are very efficient with moving and they were accurate with the estimated time it would take to move. Their rates are very good $90/hr.
