It went very smoothly. At one point a situation arose as to the fence location - Russell Trudeau addressed it immediately with a satisfactory solution. As a result, I would use this provider for my future fencing needs and recommend them to others.

Removal went smoosthly and they cleanned up all nails and pieces of wood so animals would not get hurt. Installed new fencing quickly and it is holding up wonderfully! Workers were kind and polite and cleanned uo after themselves each day they worked. I am so pleased with the new fencing and have received many compliments!!! Would definitely recommend them!!!

They came and preformed the estimate requested but never followed up with me to see if I had any questions. I felt like the job was probably too small for them to care about. Also, they were priced $800 more than the next most expensive estimate.

We had a wood fence which needed to be replaced. We never thought of having a vinyl fence until their salesman, Bob Conway, suggested we might want to consider vinyl since it is maintenance free. We are extremely pleased with how the fence looks. Had it not been for Bob we would have still had wood. Bob was very professional and we enjoyed working with him. The employees who installed the fence did a great job. They did the work in one day which included removing the old fence. They were also very professional.

I contacted Trudeau's to arrange a date for an estimate on 4/8/13. The estimate date was set for 4/12/13 and Bob Conway arrived promptly at the time arranged. He provided estimates for both wood and vinyl fence replacement options. I called Trudeau's back on 4/15/13 and agreed to proceed with the work estimate for the wood fence replacement. When I stopped home for lunch on 4/17/13 one of the employees coincidently stopped by to inspect and mark the fence work. He informed me they would be able to do the work on 4/22/13, which both surprised and pleased me since Bob originally estimated the work might be 2-3 weeks out once a decision was made. The crew arrived on 4/22/13 and amazingly completed the entire job in one day. This required them to work until approx. 8:00pm since the work to dig the post holes and install the fence was hindered by roots in the ground and the neighbor's overgrown brush along the fence line. Work area was neatly organized throughout the day and clean up was thorough. I am very pleased with the results. Original estimate for the wood privacy fence was $2,820, but due to the extra time and labor required to deal with my yard's conditions, I was charged an extra $200. This seemed to be very reasonable to me. Exactly two weeks from my initial inquiry call I had a new fence - it is very difficult to surpass that level of customer service!

They were on time and very professional. Explained to me what they were going to do. They cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. I would definitely use them again.

They worked with us to get the right kind of fence up where we wanted it. They also got the work done is a day's time and everything worked out well.

Bob came out and gave us an estimate. The fence was put up in 2 days, 3 very nice and efficient men dug the post holes and put up the fence. They were neat and nice.

It was a pleasure to work with a professional contractor who offered advice based on their vast experience and were most helpful in making the decisions re: height, and other details. Bob Conway came out twice and did some measuring and then came out and discussed specifics. The 3 member crew headed up by Joe, was outstanding. They worked very well together and not a wasted motion anywhere. They cleaned up after completion very nicely. They were a pleasure to watch install the fence in a matter of hours even when it was cold out outside. I would highly recommend this company and especially this crew to anyone. All materials were of the highest quality and my wife and I could not be happier. The dog still hasn't decided what she is supposed to do out there, but it is much easier on us to just open the door and let her out!!!

Excellent experience. Salesman provided drawnings and photos which we used to obtain the permit from our village. The job boss and all installers were prompt, pleasant and answered my questions clearly. I love my new fence and highly recommend this company.

I chose Trudeau's Fence Co. based on several reviews and they won out over 2 other estimates. I chose to pay more to get a beautiful high-quality fence. They actually did a very nice job but in the end, the fence was not structurally sound and they treated me without care or speed to correct it. Just 2 weeks after the installation, my 2 dogs escaped from the new gate that had an opening and loose material at the bottom. They were gone for over an hour and were injured. Thank god they will be OK and we got them back. I called Trudeau's an hour after it happened (Friday at 6pm) and left a message pleading to get it repaired ASAP. I got a call first thing Monday morning and he said " yes, I thought that gate might be a probem". I then spoke with Russell Trudeau about my frustration on Tuesday. My dogs are part of my family and this is very emotional for me. I want Trudeau's to tell me in detail what the new solution will be, assure me that this will never happen again, give me a refund, and in general, show a little compassion for the h*** they put me through. Instead Mr. Trudeau raised his voice at me several times during our phone call, talked over me, said he had to get into a meeting, would not share the details of the solution (instead said that they'll try something and if I don't like it, they'll do something else) and ended our conversation with "it happens". This is all completely unacceptable to me and is still ongoing. I will update this review once the gate is repaired.

They did a great job. They really paid attention to detail. The workers did a really nice job doing the installation the way we needed.

From the visit to my home from the salesman Bob Conway, who provided the estimate, to the performance of the work, I could not be more pleased. Mr. Conway was very understanding of the fact that my budget did not allow for replacement of the entire fence, which was in good condition. However, the old gates were extremely deteriorated and an eyesore. My new gates--built by a very competent crew--look great and function well! The workman hauled away the old gates and other wood, as promised, and they cleaned up my property to a pristine level. The invoiced cost for the work was exactly the same as the estimate. My lawn mowing service and the electric meter reader are also thrilled with the work performed by Trudeau"s Fence Company.

A time was scheduled for giving me an estimate (9/11/12). I received a call asking if it was okay to arrive early. I received the estimate within a couple days for two types "shadow box" or "picket" style. The company handled obtaining utility markings and permits, and allowed me to make subsequent adjustments to the contract reduce two gates to one gate and reduce height from 48" to 42". The only drawback was scheduling the installation. During the estimate I was told installation would be 3 weeks out. I signed the contract on 9/28/12. I contacted the company several times before I received information on 10/19/12, that I would receive a call the night before or the morning of for installation the following week 10/22-26/12 installation. I received the call the morning of 10/25/12 that the men were headed my way. Other than that the fence is beautiful and professionally done, and I'm a happy camper - so is Simon - he now has room to roam without being on a leash. The men answered all my questions and were very respectful. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up after they were done.

They took out the old chain link fence and the wooden fence. They did everything I asked them to do and they did a wonderful job. They were courteous and wonderful to work with.

Trudeau's came and gave me an estimate for my fence repair. They told us that it would be a few weeks before they could do the work. When the time came for the fence repair and installation, they were prompt, did quality work and I was happy with the results. More of my fence will need replacing soon and I would use them again.

Trudeau responded quickly and arranged a day and time for the estimator to come out. He arrived really early, but was very understanding when I told him that he would have to wait for me to get home at our scheduled time. He was very professional and prepared a detailed estimate for me. Unfortunately, we were unaware that when it comes to wood fencing, Trudeau uses cedar. A cedar fence would be a huge over-improvement to our home due to our location and comparables, and was much more expensive than we were comfortable with (although we understand that the price point on cedar is much different than on pine, which is why I gave them an A on pricing). We also had to consider the graffiti problem in our neighborhood and whether we wanted to spend $9,000 on a fence and then risk it being tagged. We opted not to go with Trudeau, but I wanted to make sure to leave them a good review for the service that they did provide--they took the time to come out at no charge to give us an estimate, and we are confident that the quality of their work would have matched the quality of their customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend or acquaintance who was looking for a quote on a high-quality fence for their home.

It took 4 days and I calculated about 150 man hours to tear down the old fence, fill in those holes, and build the new one.

First rate work. We love the fence and the installation. The only issue we had was not getting a phone call before they arrived to do the work. Lucky for us someone was home when they arrived. The fence had to be placed within inches of a buried bamboo barrier that we could not afford to have disturbed, so we wanted to be here to oversee the installation. Other than that, no problems. They were a very professional crew. This is the second time we have used this company. We would use and recommend them again.

I think its a great fence and it was not cheap. They did a good job, they were very professional. Its a good quality fence.

Though the gates are beautiful now it took quite a while to get there. In order here are the things that happened along with each issue's resolution. 1. Workers initially set one pair of posts two close together thus requiring one post to be torn from it's cement base and reset. Gates were then uneven. A great deal of time was spent over the course of several days to make them even.2. Workers ran truck into arms of one set gates ripping out the electrical unit and shorting out the power board thus requiring complete replacement of arms and power board. The company covered the entire cost of this. What should have been a two to three day project, four at the most, took approximately 2.5 to three weeks. We are pleased with the end result and would commend the company for their response to each mishap.

Their work was just awesome and their prices were very reasonable. If you are shopping around the only people that will undersell are ones that would do poor work.

I had contacted Trudeau's first for an estimate due to the fact that my neighbor had them install a total fence on her property last summer (vs just the connections to the house from existing fence that I am looking to have done) They were prompt in setting up a time to come out and look at the work I was requesting and leaving a quote for me to look over. The salesman came out and went over what I wanted done and took measurements of the area that was to be fenced as well as a gate on the side of the yard. He went out to his car for several minutes to put together his quote for me and upon returning with the final numbers I was a little shocked. I was given a quote of $2,500 for roughly 45 feet of fence (including the gate) there was no tear out or removal of any old fence which would have raised the quote up. I was told that the $2,500 was split pretty evenly 50/50 between parts and labor, but that when I got other estimates that I would find Tudeau's to be "very competitive". I ended up going with another company I found through Angie's List who came in at a much more competitive rate with equally stellar reviews from other members. **wanted to update for the service provider who responded** I appreciated your response, but wanted to clarify on my original post and respond to your comment. I graded an F on pricing because, the estimator is the one who told me that when I got other quotes I would find Trudeau's to be very competitive and this was not the case. I had the total job done for $400 more than your quote was, just for the labor costs alone. I am very happy with the work I had done, and I'm sure that I would have been equally as happy with the work had Trudeau's performed it, I just found someone who would do the work for way less than what I was quoted from Trudeau's

The salesman was responsive initially. Once I closed on the house I had to get a permit for the fence and had to wait a couple of weeks for that. I told the salesman I wanted to get the materials ordered ASAP so the job could be done right after I got the permit. It turned out they don't do that - they didn't order the materials until I had the permit - but they didn't tell me that when I communicated my preference. I had to initiate just about everything to keep the ball rolling. I told the installer I was in a bind because the fence was for my dogs and it was urgent to get it installed. I was finally given an installation date but then they didn't show up until the next day. They didn't finish that day (a Friday) so I had to call again to get a status. The job was finally finished on Monday. They did a great job but they need to be more proactive and communicative. The price was reasonable. Just keep in mind that if you do business with them you will need to stay on top of things to move the process along yourself.
