I'd give the highest possible rating to Top Line Home Inspections. The inspector, Sherman Hall, contacted me the same day and scheduled the inspection 2 days later. He was at the house earlier than scheduled, and was highly knowledgeable, friendly, articulate, thorough and patient. I have had experience with 2 previous home inspectors, and Mr. Hall was far more competent and impressive than either of them. He was patient in answering questions and explaining what he was seeing, and provided solid information about which concerns were immediate and which could wait for a later time. He had the report to me and the Realtor by late afternoon, and his fee was very reasonable. He seems to genuinely enjoy his work and sharing his knowledge! My Realtor also was impressed and plans to recommend him to other home buyers.

Sherman did an excellent and thorough inspection. I was with him for most of the inspection, and he talked me through what he was looking for and any potential concerns. He answered my questions patiently and competently. My contract is a backup offer, so I had access to a previous home inspection report for the home. Top Line's report was more comprehensive (he found more potential issues) and more informative. I would definitely recommend him to others.

The home inspection went very well. Sherman was very professional and thorough. It was a rainy dreary day and I expected a cancellation but he showed up earlier than expected and said it was a perfect day for an inspection because if there were any leaks he'd see them. I also loved that I could get the home inspection and well/septic inspections all in one shot. It saved having to shop around for a lot of different companies.
