They found that quite a bit needed to be done so gave us an estimate. We have not had them complete the work because it will be very expensive. No surprise there, though! We are planning to use them as soon as we save for the project. They took the Angie's List $ off of the labor quote.

Jeff arrived on time and went to work right away. He was able to mount the TV add a new electric receptacle and patch the wall perfectly. Now we have a very professional installation for our TV room. He also hooked up my newly purchased sound bar and speakers to ensure that everything was working properly.
Description of Work: We needed to have our 46" LED TV mounted on the wall and put the wiring into the wall so they would not be visible.

Excellent! The technician did a pre-service consultation to assess the work and give me answers to some questions I had. Installation went smoothly with minimal debris. He answered our queries, did all services methodically, explained how the new remote operated and cleaned up the area. We are quite satisfied with this company and will definitely rely on it for the next time we need AV service.
Description of Work: We had a large TV to be mounted, 4 separate components to be connected and all units' remotes consolidated.

Smoothly except for the additional cost needed for the extra outlet; technician offered to look at programming an universal remote that the The Theater People do not carry in order to possibly program it for me, but I was unable to locate the necessary cable; the technician wrote down the needed information to program the remote which was helpful

They did a very good job. When I called to set up the appointment they called back the next day and were out within a few days. I thought they did an excellent job. The TV was hung crooked and he said he put the level on it, I tried to call them to come back out and they said it would be $145 and I said no I would find a way to do it myself. I liked the work they did and would have them out again. They were neat and cleaned up. I was having trouble getting some things hooked up and they helped me get my surround sound hooked up, kept it neat and were very helpful.
Description of Work: I used The Theater People to hang a 60in TV and put wires in the wall.

They were very good to work with from Lauren the person that I dealt with on the phone and the guy that did the install. Very Professional. I just feel bad that I can't remember the Technician that installed everything. He actually got ahead of schedule so he was able to show up almost 2 hours earlier than was scheduled which worked for me. He did a nice job hanging the TV, Hooking up new cables to my existing, Receiver, DVR, and Blue Ray player along with hiding the cable and power cord with a cable cover. Cleaned up and explained how things worked with the TV.
Description of Work: Needed a new Samsung 55" TV Mounted on the wall along with hooking up new Cables.

It's a long story, so bear with me. Lauren, who answers the phones, does scheduling, and I'm sure a chunk more, was so pleasant to work with and talk to. But the issues began shortly after. I called to make an appointment to mount a new TV over our fireplace, replacing the existing TV. I asked while making the appointment if I could/should send photos of the current setup so the install person would be prepared. Lauren said it was a great idea, so after our call I snapped a couple of photos and emailed them along. I received a reply not long after that which stated all looked good. When the tech arrived the day of the appointment, he dismounted the old TV and stated he thought the existing mount would work (great news!). After some work and some assistance from me, he determined we would actually need a new mount. This was disappointing, but I understood. I asked if the new mount would work and operate in a similar manner to the old mount. The tech assured me it would. He pulled the new mount from his truck, unpacked it, and determined it was too large to fit in the space. He then stated he could go back o the office and get a mount with a smaller footprint to place in the area. I asked if he was sure that would work and he stated confidently it would. I waited approximately half an hour for him to return to the office and pick up the new part and return -- no big deal. The tech brought in the new mount, unpacked it, and determined the third try mount would not extend far enough out to mount the TV appropriately for where he needed to place it. By this point I was getting a little frustrated. I would have hoped he may have measured things at some point to determine what hardware was actually needed. Trial and error (costing materials and time) are not the best method of a professional installation. The tech needed to leave that day without getting the job done, but managed to declare he used up the Angie's List deal I had purchased for 2 hours of A/V services, meaning I would need to pay for him to come back and finish the job when they found a mount that would work for my space. By the next day I had not heard from them, so I called the office and asked for an update. Spoke to Lauren again and once again she was great, but informed me the only mounts they were finding with the necessary 24 inch extension the tech said was required were in the $400 price range. That was just not going to work, but she assured me they would keep looking. I decided to take matters into my own hands as I was losing faith, and with some deep research (five minutes on Amazon), I found a 32 inch extension mount for a more reasonable price. I emailed the office and after some back and forth they agreed this would work and I ordered it for delivery from Amazon. Scheduled the tech to come back the day after delivery. Tech came back yesterday and had some trouble with the new mount, needed direction from me on how to install some portions of it, and mismounted the bracket due to a bad measurement and drilled about 3-4 extra holes in my wall and studs before he figured it out. The mount barely extends far enough to make it work, meaning his initial calculations were 8 inches or more off on how long the extension arm needed to be. Keep in mind I also had to pay for this return trip as they could not get the job done the first time. The TV is up and mounted now in a somewhat acceptable fashion, though we cannot access behind the unit as the tech's measurements were off so much. Overall, I wish I would have waited for the company I had used for the previous installation 6-7 years ago to get back from vacation. Everyone (Lauren and the tech) were very nice to work with, but I spent a lot more money and time getting an installation that isn't quite what I wanted from a tech I'm not sure knew how to do his job. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend or use the Theater People again.

Fantastic! This is the second time I have used them. They are professional, friendly, answered all my questions, carried the old TV out to my wifes car for me as we were giving it to a friend. But the base back on the old TV. I can not say enough about this company. They were less expensive than others I looked at, carried cables that I needed when what I had wouldn't work. Helped me set up the new tv. Changed out how my cable connected to the TV so I got higher resolution than I had. They called 30 minutes before they arrived and arrived at the time I had requested. When we were done he said the offered an extended warranty over th 30 day warranty and the installer said "We offer this, but I really don't think you need it for what you had done." How great is that!!! My only advice on this company ---- USE THEM!

I made a Big Deal purchase with them. The people in the office were really nice and did a great job at explaining exactly what the tech was going to do when they came out to the home. We're in a newly built home and the tech that came out did a great job because he had to install extra outlets. I'm worried whenever somebody cuts holes in my house, but it was very professionally done. The tech that was on site was very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend them and I plan to use them for future services. Any delay was because of us; it wasn't because of their availability or scheduling. There was an extra charge on top of the Big Deal price.
