The person performed the service really didnt announce himself before he even got started. He just left a note after the service was performed. The service was okay. Anyone who has a riding spreader could do the same thing. It would have been much better if the service person actually spend some time to explain what he is planning to do and try to help us understand what could we have done different to help the lawn grow. Overall, the experience is good but ther is so much room to improve before I would rate it steller.

This is a very good turf co! VERY professional and prompt. Did a great job for a great price. I even signed up for 5 treatments next year because I was so impressed!

I was out of town when they did the work, but it seems to have been done well.

I am editing my previous review. Due to weather this fall the company got very behind. I had to get Christmas lights up the day they scheduled our aeration, so it had to be canceled. Brian drove all the way from Tipp City to our house with the machine. He was very nice and we had a very good talk. He wanted to work out a solution as I let him know that the office person and I had parted on bad terms & I had canceled the service & gotten a refund. He offered to work around us and do the job. The ground was perfect & he got good 3" cores. I am very pleased with how he talked with me and that he was willing to go ahead and do the job. It went so well that I am going to get a quote from them & may change lawn service companies. If I change, I have 2 neighbors & my brother who will most likely change also.

Generally a good job, but communication was not as quick or as fluid as I had hoped. Initially, I thought we were going to agree upon a time for service, but, in reality, they just called when they were going to be in the neighborhood. It took a few weeks, one cancellation because of down equipment, but eventually they got the job done.

I had submitted the suggested dates for them to do the project as requested and there was no response from them and this went on for weeks. When I finally called them they explained that they had meant to come out last week but had to cancel. They explained that they would be out next week and I never heard anything else from them. After an extended period of time I reached back out to them and spoke with a representative who was very curt and explained he would be able to come out soon and do the work. After months, I called them back about two weeks ago explaining that I had signed up for the deal all the way back in August and was expecting something by early fall and now we're into November with the ground becoming frozen. The representative explained that he would come out in 2-3 weeks. The man said he was sorry and the work was seasonal. He explained that he didn't want to be short about the matter and I explained that he was being short. He apologized and explained that was just his nature. He then suggested that I call and cancel my deal. I would never do business with them again. They are very unaccommodating and unfriendly.

They (The Organic Turf Company) were responsive and good communicators in advance of the work, in terms of scheduling with me, etc. I believe I received an email and a text. However, the work was done very, very shabbily and impartially. In the past when I have had my lawn aerated, the next time I mow I see a plethora of "dirt worms" all over the lawn as an indication that all of those plugs of dirt were removed. In this case, I mowed two days after the aeration. Not only did I find NONE of those plugs throughout the majority of the lawn, but there were several places where patches of my lawn had been torn up by whatever machine they had been using. In one (but not the rest) of those torn up spots, someone had "helpfully" scattered some grass seed around. Of course, this was in November. The seed wasn't covered and wasn't going to germinate in any case, so that was just silly. They left me no note, sent no email, sent no text, and made no call about things not going well on the job. No outreach to see if I was okay with the job that was done, no apology for tearing up parts of the lawn. I try to give everyone, businesses included, the benefit of the doubt, so I emailed them four days after the service. I explained that I would be willing to overlook the torn up patches, but at the very least I would like them to return to correctly and completely do the aeration of my lawn. TEN DAYS LATER I emailed them again, forwarding my first email, and saying I hadn't heard back. I left my phone number (both times) and asked to be contacted to discuss how things might be done right. The day after that, I received this appalling response: "Thanks for the follow up. We do thank you for your purchase and would appreciate the opportunity to work with you again in the future should you choose to hire us again." That was all. Nothing else. Only then did I realize that I needed to write this up in a review as a caution to others. This is NOT a business I could recommend. I bought this service as an Angie's List "Big Deal." It turned out to be a very bad deal. I will be seeking a refund of my "Big Deal" purchase price.

Not much to say here...the service was prompt and thorough. The company also provide a quote for a lawn care program beginning in the spring of 2015. Very reasonable for an organic program.

This was a positive experience in all respects. I purchased this service as a special deal on Angie's List because of the great reviews for The Organic Turf Co. and the special deal price. Communication with the company was excellent. They immediately gave me a general time frame for when they would do the service, then followed up with a text when they knew the specific day. Although I was out of town when they performed the core aeration, when I returned I was very impressed with the job they did. I mowed my lawn three days after they had done to aeration, and could tell they had done my complete yard. My yard is quite hilly in some areas and they had even aerated these areas completely.

This has been a disaster (and continues to be so). When I signed up for the service, the Organic Turf Company sent me a message via Angie's list asking me if I have a sprinkler system installed. I have one installed and I asked the Organic Turf Company to let me know 4-5 days in advance so that I can get my sprinkler heads marked. Organic Turf Company agreed to send me an advanced notification. I also received a message saying that Organic Turf Company will do the aeration mid November. In spite of that, they showed without advance notice and aerated more than 70% of the lawn on 10/31/2014. My wife was at home and noticed the person aerating the lawn and stopped him but by that time more than 70% of the lawn got aerated. We are not sure what and how extensive that damage has been to our sprinkler system - we can't test for that as the sprinkler system is already winterized. I spoke with Organic Turf Company and asked for them to either pay for the sprinkler system to be de-winterized and tested and winterized again OR send me an email stating that they aerated my lawn without prior notice and will cover for repair's to sprinkler system if any damage was discovered when I de-winterize in Spring of 2015. But the only email I have received so far from Mr. Jason McCoy DOES NOT address my concerns about them taking care of repairs in case any were discovered when I de-winterize in January. I have called them 4-5 times, each time the person who answers my phone assures me that I will get such an email from Mr. Jason McCoy and then nothing happens. I can't believe how unprofessional they can be. I see that they have great reviews on Angie's List but based on my own experience, I can't recommend anyone to use this company.

They were very good about getting back to me, They were very good. The quality was good.

I paid $69 for 15,000 sq feet of lawn to be aerated. My front lawn is approx 3,000 sq feet. I was not told that they could not get through my back gates for approx 3,000 sq feet. to complete the work I would not have paid $69 for 3,000 of aeration. I had to email the company...they did not bother to call me to explain "their" dilemma. They could rent a small aerating machine, to fit through back yard gates, or purchase one. I am sure I am not the only person with gates. Now I am out the money that I will have to pay someone else to complete the job that I paid this company to do. NOT A DEAL !

I emailed them a few times to see when they were coming. Each time, I would told in the next week or two. The last time I emailed them, they told me that did not have time to read my emails. This is a terrible provider.

Very poorly. Wasted my time. Nothing was mentioned about only serving specific parts of city, or was dependent on how many other customers they would have close to me. Most of my disappointment is with Angie's List. They have become poor at weeding out companies that provide poor service. This same company performed so poorly during my last purchase that I made 3 calls to Angie's List specialists just to get them to finally perform the service they offered and I paid for. I was shocked to see them lauded by Angie's List again (only use companies with an A rating and multiple reviews). Thought I would forgive once and try again, trusting Angie's List as my guide. Mistake. Perhaps the service is only this poor on the East side of Cincinnati. Have been using Angie's List since 2001 and given many reviews. This company is the only one I can remember needing to give less than a B to. This is the second and last time. The second experience is completely due to my misguided trust in Angie's List's high ratings of this company. Buyer beware.

Considering that the type of service needed to be performed quickly given the time of year, I called the company. They said, they were swamped with residents taking advantage of the deal, and that I would hear from them in 2-3 weeks. That was not to have it done in 2-3 weeks, but to get a scheduled date! Well, when I bought the deal, the service really needed to be done in 7-10 days. Instead it turned into 8 days to learn that it would be another 14-21 days just to hear that it could be done who knows when. Too late. The problem with taking advantage of a coupon for a seasonal service is that they have to honor it in a timely manner. It is as if I paid for snow plowing service around Christmas, and the company said it could get to me my March!

Phone calls and emails were answered promptly. Tech came at appointed time. Not sure how well the seeding took, as our yard wasn't in very bad shape to begin with.

The service provider was on time, prompt and did what they were asked. Thank you for your great service. I recommend them to anyone.

The company texted me the details and day they were going to do the aeration of my lawn. On the day of the appointment the lawn man came with his machine and performed the operation. Everything was done professionally and I would definitely recommend this company to somebody else.

Everything went pretty well - They had to cancel twice - once because of the weather and once because of equipment failure - they came out and aerated my lawn and overseeded the lawn as well - Not sure if the overseeding was done on the entire 1 acre property - I suggested to the manager that, in the future, they should LEAVE the empty bags of SEED at the location so the homeowner can see how many bags of seed were used - supposedly, I was to receive 120 lbs. (this figure maybe a little off) of seed and I have no way of knowing if I actually received this amount of seed - I paid for this amount After about a months time, the lawn does look nice and I am glad we aerated and overseeded the lawn - It was more expensive than I thought it was going to be but I am happy with the result

I contacted this company through Angie's List, as they were having a special price on aerating. They came out on Monday afternoon. He was here approximately 45 mins. or so. They did a really good job and I am well pleased. I asked to be put on their re-call list for next year.

I was not able to take advantage of this deal at this time. They are very responsive with emails. They responded within hours. They were very thorough with the explanation of service. They were able to go to a website to see an overview of my land.

Arrived promptly, was very curteous and professional.

Great deal. The driver was on-time and friendly. He handled the aeration and over-seeding professionally. So far results look good.
