Description of Work: Aeration and seeding as part of a Big Deal. Showed up on the scheduled day and performed aeration and seeding. Could have taken a little more time around edges of yard and flower beds, but overall a good job for a very good price.

Description of Work: The Organic Turf Co provided aeration and over seeding of our lawn. They showed up promptly on the day of our appointment and completed the services as requested. I'd recommend them again and again.

Description of Work: Aerated and seeded the property. All seems good, with the exception of not being able to get through the gate into the back yard. Some scratches were noted on the framing of the gate and the gate itself.

Description of Work: This has been a bad experience-the owner has no professionalism, is immature, rude, and not reliable. They sprayed for weeds (not well), set 2 appts. for areation and overseeding-none of which happened. Called to cancel the 1st appt.- machine down, rescheduled for following week-never showed up nor called. Put a sign in my yard offering FREE AREATIONS-mine had been paid for! Phone message system FULL when I called the evening of the supposed second areation-called the next morning-spoke with Jason (owner). No apology. Said to me, about my questioning the problems, "Don't be mean to me." He said that they would reschedule me and I said "No, I cannot rely on you and I want to cancel. I taught school for 44 years and never had a student so immature, argumentative and rude. I paid $41.00 for the weed kill and had also set up a grub treatment. Grass seed should have been sown before this month's end so it has a chance to germanate before frost. I would like this removed from my credit card. Sincerely, Marcia L. Mills

Description of Work: I had my lawn aerated and reseeded by The Organic Turf Co. to help increase lawn thickness and growth in 2015. The worker was professional and answered all my lawn questions.

Description of Work: I purchased 3 fertilizing treatments and one aeration and over seeding treatment through Angie's List coupons. | |For the first fertilization treatment, I requested that the technician talk to me so that I could explain where lot lines are. (I was told that the company uses Google map photos to determine the size locations and lot lines of the properties that they are servicing.) The technician did not contact me and so part of my yard was not fertilized. For the second fertilization treatment, again the technician did not talk to me and again not all of my yard was treated. Finally, on the third fertilization treatment, the technician rang my doorbell, we talked, and the treatment was very good. However, it had taken me more than three phone calls to the company in order for this to happen. | |I also purchased a lawn aeration and over seeding package through Angie's List. The technician came out about the third week of September. I was not home at the time because I was not told what day they were coming. The technician did a very bad job of aeration and over seeding: large swaths of yard were not aerated at all nor reseeded. Where aeration was done, in some areas the ground was so badly torn up it looks as though I have a severe problem with moles. | |Again, I had to call the company and ask to have the service redone. | |Jason, my area coordinator, reluctantly rescheduled service for the following week. I requested that the technician talk to me before performing the service so he and I could understand exactly what needed to be redone. Unfortunately, the service was scheduled for the only day that I was not able to change my schedule in order to be here to talk to the technician if he came in the morning. | |Again, I called Organic Turf Company to ask if the technician could arrive after 1:00 PM and be sure to ring my doorbell before he started to work. Jason informed me that I was requesting something that was very difficult for them to do. I pointed out that, if the technician had done the job correctly the first time, it would not have been necessary to have him come out a second time to redo the work. | |In an effort to understand this from the company's point of view and that there was something that I just didn't understand about this whole process, I asked Jason what it was that I didn't understand that made it so difficult for them to contact the property owner before doing a treatment of any kind. He informed me that they are a high-volume company, and that, after all, I had purchased the services through Angie's List at a discounted rate. I presume this implied that I was being unreasonable to be complaining about the quality of the service. | | |The final blow came when Jason, who kept talking over me and not allowing me to talk, said that he didn't wish to continue the conversation and that he was hanging up and we were ending our [customer and provider] relationship. Indeed, he did hang up on me. | |I do not believe that I was being unreasonable in thinking that I should get the same service is anyone else, even though I had purchased it through Angie's List. Sitting on my desk is an invoice from Organic Turf Company asking me to sign up for a year of fertilization service for 2015. Considering that in the three out of four services performed by the Oganic Turf Company I have had to call about problems with the service, I will not be requesting service for 2015. It is simply too much of a struggle to work with the company, and I don't think the quality of work is very good. | |I absolutely DO NOT recommend them. | | |
