Description of Work: I used The Homebuyers Advocate to purchase a foreclosed condo. This was my first time purchasing any type of real estate and with Chris Mills leading the way it was a smooth process. In this particular deal I was able to pay cash for the condo, which in turn did make the process a lot easier; however, I still had questions and concerns that were answered promptly by Chris. There was never moment where I felt like I was in the dark about anything. Chris even arranged for a home inspector to come out on short notice. All in all it was a good experience and I will use them again in the future.

His communication was outstanding, he was extremely detail oriented and proactive in handling all of the issues that come up - from the writing of the contract to the final loan closing. That I chose him at random was a stroke of exceptional luck. I can't imagine finding a better buyer's agent than Jim Deskins.
Description of Work: I had already found the house I wanted to buy so the next step was to find a real estate agent. I did this online and requested the names of some buyer's agents in my area from The National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents. I believe they sent me 3 names. I chose Jim Deskins, The Homebuyer's Advocate, at random.

 + -1 moreFantastic. We were coming from out of state; Jim was very accommodating to our fairly demanding schedule. He helped us do our homework on-line before we arrived to see houses...was a terrific advisor in terms of what we saw (and needed to watch out for) when we looked at the properties...a good negotiator & advisor on what to offer and why..and punctual, responsive, tech-savvy, patient and very helpful throughout the whole process. We knew he was exclusively on our side because he only represents buyers. I highly recommend Jim and his firm, Homebuyers' Advocate.
Description of Work: Jim was our agent & broker for the purchase of our first home here in Columbus. (He's an exclusive buyer's agent, which means he does not help people sell homes, only buy them -- which avoids an inherent conflict of interest that most of the real estate industry suffers from.)
