Description of Work: We loved the granite options at the Granite Guy. Our sales rep, Jerred, was helpful and very responsive to our questions. The price was amazing, the granite we found was exactly what I wanted. The employee then came and measured for the template. Our kitchen needed 3 pieces of granite, so we were using 2 slabs. He was very meticulous and spent alot of time measuring and asking questions of us and our preferences. I then went several days later and was able to actually map out the pieces on the granite. Our granite had alot of movement in it so there were certain sections I wanted to highlight.The staff was great and helped explain things to me that I would not know to ask or think about. |Finally the install day was here! We were ecstatic! The truck was prompt, the granite was gorgeous! I was getting my dream kitchen finally! |The 3 guys brought in the pieces and promptly got to work. When they were finally installing piece 3, the island, that is when problems occurred. It turns out that the granite was not cut correctly and therefore my downdraft would not fit. We are not sure whether it was measured incorrectly or cut incorrectly. Our contractor was here thankfully and was able to work with the incorrect placement of the downdraft hole but had to cut into other cabinets so the downdraft would fit. We were both pretty upset that this mistake was made. The guys were apologetic, but I felt that that someone from the company should have reached out after and talked to us about it. I guarantee they had to have mentioned to the sales reps what happened, but we never heard from them again. I also inquired about a small trivet from the remnant and they did leave us a voicemail saying they could for $100. I felt after this huge mistake on their part, the least they could have done was given us one free of charge. |Everything worked out in the end, but it could have been a huge disaster and we would have had to find other granite if the island was found to be scrap. I am not 100% sure I would use again.

Great company |to deal with right down to the install crew that did a wonderful job and explained everything they did along with how to care for the new counter tops. We are very happy with the results.

A few bumps in the road, but we had a complicated island. Always quick to respond and remedy. Overall, we would recommend and use again.

Description of Work: We couldn't be happier with our experience with The Granite Guy. From Taylor managing the details to Dallas doing the measurement to Jessie and his team of installers (these guys were great...polite and professional but friendly and fun too). Bottom line the price was as good or better than anything we saw. They were easy to do business with AND they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Description of Work: Beautiful work, very easy to work with, and a great price for the size of our kitchen--the 10% Angie's List discount went a long way and they offered a discount for paying by cash or check. Their showroom was huge and had many slabs to choose from.

The entire process from choosing the slab of granite, ordering, measuring and installation could not have gone better.

Description of Work: We replaced a laminate kitchen counter of about 50 sq. feet with granite. We are doing an update to our kitchen with plans to sell in 2-3 years. For this reason, we wanted to keep the price down. and were pleased that entry level granite could fit into our budget. | |We visited The Granite Guy because of their high ratings on Angies's List and were satisfied with every step of the process. We especially liked their showroom. The selection isn't as great as at the wholesalers, but the lighting is superior and gives a much better sense of what the slabs will look like in your home. We also liked their method of pricing by the slab. We knew when we left the store what the cost would be. At other stores we visited, we had to go to the wholesaler to see slabs, pick out a stone, and then wait for the store to get back to us with a price. The selection at the wholesalers is overwhelming. | |Marty was great to work with. She was able to take our measurements and show us how each piece would fit on the slab. (We made multiple visits to look at the granite before making our final choice, and everyone we met was helpful.) Marty carefully explained all of our options, answered our questions, set up a time for Brian to template the kitchen, and then scheduled installation. | |The installation went smoothly. Jesse and Matt were able to come a couple of hours early when an earlier job was finished sooner than expected. It was a messy day, and they were very careful not to track in dirt. When they discovered a problem with cabinets that weren't level, Jesse explained the difficulty and got our approval before proceeding with a remedy. We also wanted to keep the existing tile backsplash which made removal of the old counter a little tricky. Jesse and Matt did a wonderful job, and the new counter is as beautiful as we had hoped it would be. They cleaned carefully when they were done and left the kitchen cleaner than they found it.

Description of Work: Fantastic. The sales staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. They took care of everything including the plumbing. It was so easy. The installation team showed up on time and completed the job in just a few hours. The counters and new sink look great.

Description of Work: I had The Granite Guy install granite in my new home and he did an amazing job and was very reasonably priced. After installing my appliances I noticed my range/cooktop needed a piece behind it due to being a flat top range so he sent guys out with granite the next day to take care of it for me. I couldn't have asked for a better job! I send as many people as I can to Bob (The Granite Guy). Trust me you wont be disappointed!!

Description of Work: Removed old counter tops and installed new granite ones. They achieved excellent results in a manner which another good installer would not attempt. We are very happy with our new counter tops.
