From my initial contact with Bob and Terri, the experience was great! It took me more than 2 years to finally decide which granite I wanted to use. Bob and Terri were so patient with me, pleasant and professional every time I stopped. My being happy with my purchase was more important to them than the sale. Bob is a man of his word. Marti and Anna were always positive, upbeat and courteous, handling the details and scheduling. Earl, always ready to show me what ever I wanted to see; worked hard to make sure I was happy with the layout. Greg, from the fabrication team always willing to help. The installation crew was fantastic, so careful and conscientious. While not everything was perfect (cabinets were not level, door casing in the way etc), Jessie and Matt were quick to patiently, confidently and efficiently handle the challenges. A great team, a great showroom with great lighting and great granite! My granite is beautiful!!! It has completely transformed my home. Thank you!

We were referred to The Granite Guy by some friends at the beginning of our kitchen remodel project. Our custom cabinet maker was taking an excruciating long time to complete our cabinets so we had plenty of time to shop around for countertops. We had our hearts set on soapstone and searched nationally for it, as there seemed to be no local economical source for it. We received quotes from the boutique granite shops and big box stores and they all considered soapstone "exotic" and wanted to charge accordingly. We thought we had finally settled on a friend of ours who works for one of the large local granite companies who could extend a friends-and-family discount to us. All the while, Bob had been keeping in touch with us via email. I had been very preoccupied with the remodel project as I was acting as the general contractor. When I finally sent him a drawing for a rough quote, not only could he substantially beat my friends-and-family discount, he could complete the project in less than half the time. The choice was obvious. After our countertops were installed, Bob went out of his way to get us remnant pricing on some bench tops we decide to add later. You won't meet a better guy to do business with. The Granite Guy is THE go-to guy for countertops.

KUDOS to everyone we dealt with at The Granite Guy (Terri and Marti especially) for the excellent customer service we received during our trips to the showroom and getting getting our measuring appointment rescheduled after we goofed up. We made 3 trips to The Granite Guy show room and we were greeted quickly and professionally as they walked us through the process. The first trip we narrowed down our slab selection to our top three, the second trip we came back to finalize our selection and pick our sink and the third time for the layout consultation (which happened to be the first time we saw "our" slab since it was buried on our other visits). Marti went above and beyond to get our appointment rescheduled after we dropped the ball. Her work allowed us to keep our original install date so we could get a functional kitchen back on time. THANK YOU MARTI!!!!!!! Installation went great (about 3 hours) and the seams are nearly invisible. The Granite Guy was less expensive than the place our contractor recommended, so we used some of the savings to upgrade to a composite sink and upgraded the edge to the 3/8 round. We love our new counter tops and if we ever put stone counters in our bathrooms we will be going back to The Granite Guy.

WE APPROACHED THE GRANITE GUY WHEN WE WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY GRANITE WE REALLY LIKED AT OUR PRICE BREAK AT A DIFFERENT COMPANY. FROM THE START, BOB WAS INCREDIBLY RESPONSIVE TO MY NUMEROUS EMAILS, PROVIDED DETAILS OF THE OPTIONS I MIGHT HAVE, AND LINKS TO VIEW SOME OF HIS GRANITE CHOICES.I DID NOT WANT TO MAKE THE TRIP FROM ATHENS TO COLUMBUS UNLESS THERE WAS A GOOD CHANCE WE COULD FIND SOMETHING SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAD ALREADY SEEN. AND WE SURE DID! THERE WERE MANY EXCELLENT OPTIONS -- SO MANY THAT WE HAD A HARD TIME SELECTING JUST ONE. WE ARE THRILLED WITH OUR UNIQUE PIECE OF GRANITE, AND WITH THE GREAT SUPPORT AND FLEXIBILITY WE RECEIVED FROM BOB AND HIS STAFF AS WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE A DEADLINE TO GET INTO OUR NEW HOME. ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT TYPICAL, THEY PROMISED AND DELIVERED A-MEASURE-TO-INSTALL TURNOVER OF ONE WEEK. EVERYONE WHO COMES INTO OUR HOME COMPLIMENTS OUR GORGEOUS COUNTERTOP.

I stopped in The Granite Guy's showroom on my day off. There were 2 employees there assisting 2 other customers. I waited patiently until a young man came up to me to see if I needed help. I told the young man that I was referred to The Granite Guy by my sister which didn't seem to phase him at all....he didn't even ask who she was. It seemed to me and my fiancé that he was not that interested in helping me. He left after I asked a few questions and he never came back. We waited for the other sales person until she was finished with her customer....she stated she would be right with us. The phone rang and she was on the phone helping someone else. As we began to leave she stopped her conversation and asked for me to fill out a form and someone would contact me, which I did. It has been 10 days and still no call or email from The Granite Guy. It was such a bad customer service experience that I will not take a chance on receiving the same low quality with my countertop product and installation. I will ask my sister never to refer them to anyone else.

We are sorry that your experience during your visit was less than what we strive for. Please know that a personal effort from our office manager was made to contact you several times. Phone calls and e-mails were placed to which no response was received. Each customer, referral or not is appreciated and valued. At times, our showroom gest quite inundated and we apologize for not being attentive to your needs. We would love the opportunity to demonstrate the customer service you deserve. Very impressed with the quality installation performed in my basement. They had to put a seem in the countertop because the granite couldn't be maneuvered around a tricky corner, but you would never know by looking at it. From start to finish, they were professional, dependable and courteous. Will definitely use them again.

We cannot be happier with the service and professionalism displayed by "The Granite Guy" throughout our countertop changeout. The entire "Granite Guy" team was exceptional, from the showroom through installation everyone made us feel that we were their most important client and that our satisfaction was their main concern. The selection of granite and quartz products was all encompassing and the pricing structure was to the point and easy to understand. The installation team showed up on time, explained everything they would be doing and did a fabulous job cleaning up after themselves upon completion, "well done gentlemen!" My wife was so impressed that we are in the process of coordinating another countertop changeout at one of our son's homes. We highly recommend "The Granite Guy" for all your countertop needs.

From the first visit to the showroom we knew we found the right place to do our granite. Bob was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with our pickiness and newness to the process. He explained everything and had the pieces moved for better viewing. We went back to place our cut outs of exactly where we wanted the island, sink and seams the day before cutting. It was installed a few days later and looks fabulous! We are very pleased with the White Spring Leather granite. Thank you very much, Bob!

After reading reviews, we decided to visit The Granite Guy showroom to purchase granite for our kitchen. We were never greeted or shown their showroom or informed how their process works. We had to seek out a salesperson to answer our questions. We had to ask them if we could fill out a "Visit Sheet" with our granite selection and profile preferences since we saw salespeople offering other customers the "Visit Sheet." I left 2 voice mail messages and then sent an e-mail asking for a quote so we could determine when and how to proceed and they suggested that all they could offer us was remnant pieces and they didn't know what was in stock but they would check. We never heard back from them. We had to practically beg for their business. We ended up working with another granite shop in town and that process has been superb.

We visited The Granite Guy several times before selecting our slab. The entire staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about their products! The measure up they performed was done using high tech tools. It took about 3 hours. The installers showed up on time and left in about 4 hours. They were friendly and very respectful of our home. This was a fantastic experience!

It went wonderful! Love the look of the new counter and was very pleased with the service. I picked out my granite, and due to the style of my cabinets had to have a sink ordered in (they have standard sizes in stock to pick from but they would not fit in my kitchen). The sink came in in 2 days time, and the crew came out on a Saturday and installed. They cleaned up afterward and it looks beautiful. Since I was not replacing my cabinets, I appreciated that The Granite Guy handled all the details of the granite - purchase (with a large selection), cutting, installation and plumbing. I was convenient to have it all done by the same company without going thru a contractor.

The Granite Guy was very fast to respond to my inquiry for prices and had a great location in Columbus to review what granite they had in stock (which was inside). What I love about their prices--it includes removal of your old countertops, includes the holes for your sink and faucet, includes installation of the new countertops, includes the sinks (which are very nice quality), etc. Every other company had numerous lines on the estimate for all these extras. It took about 2 weeks for them to come out and formally measure the 3 spaces we have--Gregg was very nice and professional and made us more comfortable about the big change. Though we had some issues with timing on the day of the installation, the installers made it on the day promised which was so important to us since we were living without sinks (plumber disconnected day before). The installers were incredibly nice and professional and kept my house clean. No damage to any of my appliances or to our walls (we heard stories from other installs with other companies and were nervous about this aspect). The Granite Guys were great from the first step to the last step. Beautiful 3mm granite countertops--highlight of being in my bathrooms and kitchen now! Very happy!

They came when they said they would and worked the entire time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Everything went well.
Description of Work: Installed new granite counter tops in kitchen and 1/2 bath. Price included a 16 gauge stainless steel sink and a sink for the half bath. They also installed a new Bosch dishwasher. The place I bought it from said it wouldn't fit, but when they installed the counter tops, it fit great. They hooked up all the plumbing, installed new faucets and removed all the old countertops. Greg did an excellent job measuring and worked hard with me to place the outlines on the piece of granite to get the best effects.

This is not our first time using The Granite Guy. They were so great the first time we decided we'd try them again. We stopped by the show room to look for granite for our second project, a wet bar. The owners were there and actually remembered our faces! Terri helped us find a piece of granite she thought we would like and she hit the nail on the head. Once Bob moved some other pieces out of the way so we could see the whole piece, we new it was exactly what we wanted. They just installed it today and the installers were very courteous and professional. Thanks again Granite Guy!

We had been granite shopping for months trying to find that elusive combination of quality, value, and service. Most granite yards in Columbus work exclusively through fabricators. That menas, you go into the yard, write down the granite you like and the granite yard will send your selections to the fabricator and you wait for a price quote so you have a very vague idea how much the price will be through their tiered pricing. For example, a slab marked J is more expensive than a slab marked D. Still very vague and quite frustrating. When we walked into "The Granite Guy" in late December of 2013 and went back into their granite showroom, they had big price stickers right on the front of the giant slabs of granite! When we asked about the prices, we were very shocked to learn that not only was the price on the slab the cost of the granite, but the cost of the installation (including a sink if so desired). Knowing the price up front is SUCH a big help! It keeps you looking within your budget and takes a lot of the frustration and guess work out. The sales staff was super helpful but not pushy. We were in there for quite some time on a Saturday and no one acted like they wanted us to hurry up and leave. We selected the absolutely gorgeous "Spectrus Leathered" granite and the guys working in the back pulled a couple slabs out so we could pick ours. Then the owner worked up our "estimate' based on our preliminary measurements and gave us discounts for not needing their sink and for the Angie's List coupon ... the estimated price was less than the quote we had from one of the Big Box stores for plain black galaxy (which everyone has). When we said an enthusiastic "yes, we would like this one!" we were shocked that they scheduled the measurements for the next day and then for us to come review our template and placement on the slabs the day after ... which happened to be Christmas Eve! The measuring process was slow and very, very through. We have an odd angled island with a partial wall at one end that cannot be removed as it is a utility run. We also have a very large bay window behind the sink so the measuring was quite labor intensive. On Christmas Eve, we were running a bit behind doing last minute holiday errands and called "The Granite Guy" to tell them we couldn't make the 2:00 appointment. We expected them to ask us to reschedule for after the holiday but they said "come on our when you are done, we are here until probably 6:00 or so." We were shocked! The template review went well ... the owners were there along with their two granite fabricators. Turns out the owners liked our granite selection so much, they were putting Spectrus Leathered into their condo! We spent the next 90 minutes or so deciding where the cuts would look best and how to get the patterns to match up ... the owners even offered to let us use part of their slabs if we couldn't get our bathroom vanity (another odd angled corner thing) to fit on ours! The spectacular service didn't stop there... the installation was promised on 1/3/2014 and they didn't disappoint. 4The weather was horrible on the day our granite was to be installed. I expected "The Granite Guy" to call to reschedule especially since their morning installation was taking longer than they had expected. The installers kept us informed that they were delayed but came out as soon as they were free. The two installers were great! They didn't complain about all of our stairs (our kitchen is technically on the 2nd floor of our 3 level house) and the granite fit perfectly! It went around all the odd angles and walls and such. When they pulled the seams together, it is all but invisible! When the installers were almost done, they called the plumber in and he installed the sinks and faucets and garbage disposal. The installers were finally done and left around 10:00 PM and the poor plumber didn't get out until after 11:00. I was amazed that none of them complained about a thing! It was very nice! Following installation, we had a small problem with a leak around our sink drain (one of the downfalls of a hammered copper sink) but one of the fabricators came out at 8:00 on a Friday night to fix the problem for us. Again, we were amazed and very pleased by the level of service "The Granite Guy" provides! We have told everyone about this company! If we move and have to install granite again, we will 100% use this company! I can not say enough good things about them! Thanks to everyone there that made one aspect this very painful kitchen remodel go so smoothly!

We went to the showroom on March 5 to shop for countertops based on the reviews we read on Angie's List. We met with Carolyn who suggested we look around. I appreciated that they had sample cabinet doors in many colors so I could compare how my cabinets would look against the various stones. We had measured and laid out the existing counters so we could get an estimate. We especially liked that each stone was priced - all inclusive with labor, delivery, installation and tax. We did opt for some additional expenses for plumbing and backsplash but the Angie's List discount covered that. We discussed this all of this on the way home and decided to go with Granite Guy without further shopping; good Angie's List reviews and our initial contact was sufficient for a decision. On March 12, Greg came to measure and make the templates for all the services. He was prompt, professional and efficient. They installed the countertops on March 20 (they offered the date of March 19, but that didn't work for us). Jesse and Brad called when they were leaving the shop and promptly arrived at 8:00 a.m. as we were promised. They covered all my floors, removed the old counters (taking the debris with them), installed the countertops, used my current sink, reconnected all the plumbing, and then swept the floor after removing the floor covers. The entire process was just over 3 hours. Jesse gave me care instructions and asked that we not use the sink for 24-hours to allow the silicone to seal. Again everyone was professional and efficient. We could not be happier. It was a 2-week process from the time we selected the stone to the completed installation.

This was the best experience I have ever had from start to finish. To start, I sent an email and asked for more information. I received the friendliest, most detailed email in return. I then sent a sketch with measurements of my kitchen and received an approximate estimate depending on what granite I chose. I visited the showroom and was immediately shown all of my options. I love how The Granite Guy includes all the basics in the cost of the slab. Everything was so simple and quick and the pricing was less and included more than other vendors I talked to. I scheduled my measure and installation that day. The installers were also very friendly and did a great fast job taking care of everything. The Granite Guy is the example other vendors should follow on how to impress a customer.

The Granite Guy did a phenomenal job from start to finish! They were very helpful and courteous while in their showroom. We went to look at granite three different times before we could decide which color we wanted. We were trying to decide between two colors and were really indecisive about which one would look better with our style of house. I brought my iPad in with pictures of our kitchen and several of the employees stopped on several occasions to give us their opinion about what would look good. They were very patient until we made our final decision. The nice thing is that the price is by the slab instead of by the foot so you knew exactly what your final price will be. No hidden costs! We had a template of our existing counter done at our house and he was fantastic as well. He was very thorough and professional. He even listened to our ideas on how to deal with a corner appliance garage that might have been in the way of the installation. Next we had a layout meeting back at the showroom. I was able to pick the exact slab that would become our counter. We used the template to see exactly which part of the slab would be used for each section of our new counter, since we purchased a non uniform pattern slab. The guys at this meeting worked very hard to set it up so the seam would be virtually invisible. Again, they were very professional and took the time to make sure everything would look great when they were done. The final step was the installation. The crew was on time, courteous, and hard working. They took off the old counters and installed the new one plus a bath vanity and cleaned up in about three hours! I would say the Granite Guy is an outstanding company. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our new counters and that they were installed correctly. I would definitely recommend them!

Our project included new countertops for our kitchen and three baths which we planned to do in two stages. We went to The Granite Guy based on Angie?s list ratings and my son?s favorable review of their recent work on his two baths. Since he said that The Granite Guy's price was well below two other bids he received, we did not shop around for other prices. We went to the office/warehouse with rough drawings of all the countertops. Carolyn. who greeted us, ran my drawings through a scanner which immediately translated them to design drawings which she could manipulate into a layout which maximized use of the granite slab. We quickly selected the type of sinks we wanted for the kitchen and bath and then went into the enclosed, well-lit warehouse to select the desired kitchen granite from among many beautiful slabs. On each slab was a price tag which represented the total basic cost for the project. Once we selected the slab, Carolyn completed the pricing. There was a charge for three braces for the overhang of the countertop and a charge for plumbing, if we chose to have them do that work, which we did. We received the 10% discount for the Angie?s list coupon and Carolyn knocked off another $100 since my son had patronized them recently. Total came to $3540 which I thought reasonable and below what I expected. Carolyn then set up a time for Greg to come for precise measuring, two days later. The install was scheduled a week from the time we first visited. Greg came and measured the kitchen and all three baths and Jesse and Matt did the installation. The install went smoothly, the pieces fitting perfectly. Where?s the seam? There was very little mess left from the install which was completed in just a few hours. Since everything went without a hitch, we were eager to move to the second phase. Picking the material for the baths was a bit more difficult since the choices were from remnants that were often dusty and stacked in such a way that limited what could be viewed, but we made our choices. Later there was some confusion as to which material was for which bath (we had picked two different granites for the two larger baths) so we went back to the warehouse and confirmed which material went for each bath. Since Greg had already measured, the materials could be cut and installed which occurred on a Thursday. As Jesse was finishing the installation we took a look and found that the materials had been switched in the two larger baths. Ugh. Jesse called the office and confirmed the error. Since we were told the material for the upstairs bath we out of stock, we went back the next day to select a replacement material. This was on a Friday. The next Monday, Jesse was back to replace the granite in the two baths. We?re highly pleased with the end result and with the contacts with all of The Granite Guy?s staff - Carolyn, Greg, Jesse and Matt. Although there was an error made, it was corrected quickly without fuss or much muss. I would recommend The Granite Guy to others based on quick and friendly service, reasonable prices and precise and neat installation.

I couldn't be happier with the product or service that this company provided. The selection was good. Communication was terrific. Flexibility when our schedule required a delay in granite installation/templating was wonderful. I would recommend them highly.

Excellent! From the first visit to the showroom to the completion of the job, we were impressed with the professionalism and the quality of the work. We had looked for granite a year ago but felt we were on our own in selecting and the pricing was not straight forward. Decided to put off the buying new countertops until I read reviews on Angie List of The Granite Guy and it was easy and one stop shopping from that point forward. They have a large selection, (not as large as some of the huge warehouses) and very clear pricing for the entire job. Everyone we worked with from the sales staff to the man who came out to take measurements and the installers were all professional and easy to work with. We love our new counters and feel the quality and the cost were great! We have already recommended The Granite Guy to a friend and will continue to do so! All appointments were met right on time...a huge plus!! We also liked that the sinks were on display and thought the upgraded finishes on the edging of the granite were priced more than fairly.
