Best selection of granite in Central Ohio. We searched every granite supplier in the area looking for granite that would make our kitchen beautiful. The Granite Guy's selection gave us multiple unique options that far exceed that of the "big guys". Marty was extremely helpful by reviewing our designs and discussing color choices and selection. The templating process was smooth and easy. Installers were extremely professional. The placement of the granite was done to maximize impact and minimize the seams. I have and will continue to recommend The Granite Guy to others.

Our home was built in 2004 and laminate countertops all throughout the home. My wife and I were shopping for a granite provider and by chance walked into The Granite Guy store on a Sunday afternoon. We left 2 hours later with a quote and a schedule for countertop replacement. Both Bob and Teri were wonderful to work with. Up front and honest. Catered to our requirements and worked with us throughout the whole process. From selection of the slabs to the fitting and installation, Bob and Teri were awesome to work with. I have since recommended the Granite Guy to friends and neighbors.

We were very pleased with the service, pricing, timeliness and professionalism that we received from Bob and his staff at The Granite Guy. Our General Contractor highly suggested The Granite Guy and I can certainly see why. My wife really appreciated their no pressure and educational approach to purchasing the right granite. We would highly recommend The Granite Guy in the future. In fact we just referred our neighbor and they had the same great experience.

The Granite Guy is a top-notch company. Bob, Terri. Marty, Dan, Dale and the rest of their staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. From the moment we walked in to first inquire to the moment the installers left, we were impressed with their amazing customer service. We've never purchased granite before and were a bit intimidated with starting the process. Typically with such a large purchase, we do our homework and look into multiple options. We sent out emails to area businesses to inquire about their services and Bob responded almost immediately. We decided to go and visit his store and get a feel of what we were looking at. We were totally blown away with how helpful and knowledgeable they all were. After looking at multiple granite pieces, we picked a few that we liked and talked with Terri about our choices. She was amazing - bringing up points that we had never even considered. An hour later, we had decided on a beautiful piece of granite and decided to give our business to Bob, The Granite Guy without even looking at other businesses; we were that confident in their capabilities. At Terri's suggestion, we came back later that week and brought one of our cabinet doors and a piece of our flooring to make sure what we had decided on would be a good fit. It matched perfectly!! We scheduled our appointments and within 3 weeks, our granite was installed! It looks SO amazing!! The installers were professional and were in and out before we knew it. We are so happy with our granite and that we went with Bob, The Granite Guy for our kitchen. We're already planning on a return trip to replace our bathroom counters! We would definitely recommend anyone looking to purchase granite to make their first stop here! We think it will be your last stop!!

I had talked to mutiple granite companies and everyone said the same thing. "Pick out your granite and then it will be about 2-3 weeks before we can install" Bob "The Granite Guy" emailed me everything I needed to know to get started. He was so informative and down to earth in his emails, I was almost sold without even going to the showroom. We went to the showroom. Looked and took pictures of multiple slabs of granite. We were told at the desk it would again be about 3 weeks for install. Considering we had no countertops at all, in a house with five people, 3 weeks seemed like an enternity. I let Bob know on Wednesday I liked his granite selections and prices but I really wanted my countertops done ASAP and 3 weeks was soooo far away. I told him which slab I wanted, my kitchen was measuredd the following day, Thursday and my granite was installed the following Monday!!!! 5 Days total from picking my granite out to it being installed!!! The guys did an amazing job. My walls were not square (old house) but the guy who measured did it manually and digitally, so my tops fit perfect!!! I am so pleased! Great company. Great people.

If you are planning to do granite countertops, look no further than The Granite Guy. I had The Granite Guy install new kitchen countertops and two bathroom vanities on January 19, 2015 and they are beautiful. From start to finish The Granite Guy made the process very easy. For me the most difficult part of the whole process was deciding which granite to use. Other than that, working with them was a breeze. Thank you to Anna and Marti for getting started with great estimates, Brian for precise templates, Earl for working the templates onto the granite, and for Ben and his team for terrific installation. There was a defect in one of the bathroom bowls but within an hour someone drove to my house with a brand new bowl. I highly recommend that you pay to view your templates onto the granite before it is cut. This way there will be no surprises of unwanted markings when your granite is installed. Again, The Granite Guy is the way to go. You won't be disappointed.

The bookends of our project were acceptable; however, some hiccups along the way prevented them from receiving top marks from us. We are in the process of a major kitchen overhaul (cabinet refacing, new appliances, new pantry, etc.). We ended up going with The Granite Guy because they flat out had the best selection of stone that we came across. They buy out entire chunks of granite in the major warehouses, and the quality of their retail stone vis-a-vis other retailers is without parallel. Our two biggest issues were (1) they called us the evening before our install and cancelled due to a machine failure and rescheduled us without asking if the new time worked for us and (2) the installers left some small scuffs on the wall and failed to check that the granite cut would allow the new stove top to mount on both sides (it doesn't). We had a plumber and an electrician coordinated around the install and it was a nightmare figuring out this piece. When we asked for a different time, the sale rep never confirmed the appointment. I had to call back, received a different sales rep, received conflicting information regarding the necessary pre-plumbing work (for future customers, there is none), and ultimately felt forced into using their plumber (who admittedly ended up doing a great job) to make sure our kitchen wasn't unavailable for 2 weekends in a row. The company ended up giving us a $250 credit for the scheduling inconvience and their plumbed ended up being a little less expensive, so there were a few silver linings. We love the way everything looks; however, we simply didn't love the way we got there. In my opinion, I feel they are dealing with some staffing issues and possibly some logistic issues. If you can live with that...they have some darn nice stone and your kitchen will look great!

Thank you for your comments! We strive to improve every aspect of our business and welcome the directions we receive from our customers. We are so pleased that in the end you were happy with your granite and the discount received for your inconvenience. We do our best to ensure that all of our customers have a positive experience and would like to use us again. Inherent in working with natural stone and custom projects, we occasionally run into unexpected delays. We try to confirm a rescheduled appointment with in 24 hours or less. In your case, it took 48 hours to get a confirmation as we were trying to accommodate requested dates. It is understandably frustrating when things don't go as planned and we share in that sentiment. Now that your project in complete, we hope you enjoy your counters for years to come! The Granite Guy

Originally we were interested in purchasing quartz countertops. However, Bob, the owner of The Granite Guy, explained to us that the quartz slabs were smaller than the granite slabs so we would need to purchase two quartz slabs instead of potentially only one granite slab. Plus, he said, there was a 10% discount on all granite slabs if we were Angie's List members. We were concerned about the maintenance of granite compared to quartz but he explained that the current granite sealers are far better than they had once been and the granite sealer they use is good for 15 years. After some discussion we changed our search to looking for granite instead of quartz slabs. We found a gorgeous Solaris Gold that would look great with our light colored kitchen cabinets and our furniture. However, it was questionable whether or not the slab was going to be big enough for the square footage that we needed. One of the employees, Earl, suggested a remnant from the same "lot" as the full size slab. The remnant was large enough to use as one of the smaller, stand-alone countertops next to our range. We had found our granite AND we were not charged for the remnant. During negotiations, we were given a little discount for paying in cash and another small discount for supplying our own sink. We decided to purchase a cast-iron sink instead of using the stainless steel sink that was offered with the granite purchase. At no time were we high pressured to make a decision and we went back a few times before we made the final decision. During that short time period, they put a hold on the two granite pieces we were considering purchasing. Very pleasant sales experience, everyone was very nice and very helpful with ideas and suggestions. Marty assisted us in finalizing the contract. Brian, the person making the template, was very helpful and told us which size sink we could purchase that would work for the size of our cabinet. The installers, Jesse and Matt, were excellent. Very meticulous and professional. They very patiently answered my numerous questions. The installation of the undermount sink was much more difficult than anticipated. Jesse took his time and had to cut into the existing sink cabinet to make the undermount sink fit properly and safely. Not an easy task. When they left, the countertop and undermount sink looked great. However, after pulling out the range so that the new tile backsplash could be installed we noticed that there was a little bit of the cabinet particle board showing below one of the new granite countertops. Potential problems could occur if liquid spilled between the range and the new granite countertop wetting the exposed particle board. Jesse and Matt returned a few days later and very carefully removed the two countertops on either side of the range. They were able to remove both countertops without breaking any of the existing tile splash that had already been started. They adjusted the one countertop to cover the exposed particle board and were able to shave a little of the granite on the wall side of the other countertop. That wall was bowed in the middle, which caused that countertop to not set flat to the wall. The space for the range was very tight but after adjusting the two separate countertops, I think that everything will work out very well. I would recommend The Granite Guy to anyone looking to purchase and install granite or quartz countertops. From being greeted and helped by Marty when we first walked through the door to the final installation, everyone with whom we had contact was very nice, helpful and professional. We were told that if we encounter (no pun intended) any problems in the future to please contact them. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

On 11/13/14 we went to The Granite Guy because someone told us they had heard they had good reviews and I also read testimonials on their website. We selected a beautiful and unusual piece of granite that we were told was exotic and exclusive to The Granite Guy. It was more expensive than we had planned but we went ahead with the order. A template was made and the install was scheduled for 12/1 with a time between Noon and 2:00 (which we were told and we again verified on 12/1). By 3:30 no one had called and no installers showed up. A call placed to The Granite Guy, told us would locate installers and call back. Then we were told the job was scheduled for between Noon and 6:00 PM. First of all, we would not have scheduled a start time of 6:00 PM for a job that would be at least 3-4 hours but at 5:00 PM the installers called and said they were on their way. We decided to see what they had planned. First, when the pass-through ledge was carried in, the end edge was chipped but was repaired with epoxy. The edge on the bathroom vanity was also chipped on the back edge. The center island was installed with relatively few problems. Then the kitchen sink was taken out of the box and was broken; the owner was called and he brought out another one. NEXT, the kitchen countertop was "overcut" (per installer) exposing over a half inch of the sink edge, which was NOT what we ordered. Owner was called but he didn't answer his phone we were told. SO, the installers carried out the two pieces and were told we expected a call from the owner the next morning. After 1:00 PM a call was placed to The Granite Guy, first to Marty (sales) and she said the counter top was "within industry standards" (which is a favorite phrase with them if you are not happy with anything) but she would have the owner contact us. Wouldn't a company want to do "better than industry standards"? It was after 9:00 PM as these pieces were being carried back out. The seam areas for the two-pieces (re-made) of kitchen counter were jagged cut (possibly a dull blade?) and looked terrible. We complained about the appearance of the seams but the installer said it was the best he could do. They did send someone else out and he re-repaired the seams and the bathroom vanity (still not what we think looks good) but he said it was all "within industry standards." The next conversation with the owner was an absolutely terrible experience, and same with his emails. He told my husband he was "over-focusing" and "nit-picking" and no one coming into our house would ever notice. He also used the descriptive word "fricking" several times. He felt "STRONGLY" that we should accept what he thought was acceptable. The next threat was that they would come take out what was installed so far and return our down payment. He was told to do just that. After thinking it over, the next day we were told they would "re-make" the counter top even though the owner felt we should accept it as it was. I am wondering if charm school would help him deal with his customers because he thinks he is right and the customer should be happy with what he thinks, not what they order, pay for, have to live with. We were, therefore, six days without water in our kitchen, no counter-top, had to eat out or carry-in meals and any utensils or kitchen items used had to be washed in the bathroom. We are senior citizens in our 70's and this was a very stressful experience. Never an apology for all this inconvenience. Glad so many people were happy with their work but we cannot recommend nor would we ever use The Granite Guy again. As far as pricing, we really can't compare because of the exclusive granite. We never were told about a 2% senior discount (per Angie's list post) but we were told we would get a $200 discount for paying by check, which we did. This is a photo of how the "quality control" left the bathroom sink "repaired."

This is Bob, the owner of The Granite Guy. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We do appreciate any feedback that helps to improve our service. We are sincerely sorry that you feel dissatisfied. As previously offered, we will remove your countertops and refund your money. That offer still stands, even after remaking your countertops. We have taken every step possible during this process to try to meet your expectations. Including, the owner personally tracking down and delivering a special order sink when yours was found to be broken. We sent out a quality control expert to examine you material and report back so we would know how to best proceed. We sent an install team to rework your seams. We cut and installed a replacement counter within a week. As you can see from our attempts to address your concerns, we stand behind our work and will always do our best to ensure we have satisfied customers. As president Lincoln once said: “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.” Consider your removal option if you are truly unsatisfied. Sincerely, Bob

Another wonderful experience with the Granite Guy. This time I finished a bar, desk and bath vanity. Marti coordinated the entire process, kept me informed. Two different crews completed the installation. Both were fantastic. And the counters are amazing. It took me over 3 years to finalize my purchase and installation...I couldn't decide what I wanted. Bob and Terri were so patient. Well worth the wait. I have had a lot of work completed around my home, I look forward to The Granite Guy projects. They show up, complete the job as promised and it's beautiful when they leave. Thank you everyone.

They were very helpful in the showroom giving me options on color and style of granite along with sinks to choose from. They were very informative on what to do to prepare for the installation. The installers were very courteous, prompt, professional, and did an excellent job installing the countertop/sinks and cleaned up before they left. The Granite Guy had done our kitchen three years ago and we were very pleased with that also, and would recommend their service to others.

We are DIY people who get inspired by HGTV. We began our kitchen remodel over the summer changing the floor print of our kitchen dramatically. We decided to build a custom island with sink and dishwasher that was 6'x'6'. We also had the main prep area of the kitchen "L" that would also need counter tops. Finding the right place of professionals who were honest, efficient, and prided themselves with quality and service was challenging. This part of our renovation we did not want to try to tackle this by ourselves and chose to hire professionals to do the heavy lifting. After meeting with several counter top installers we made our way to the Granite Guy. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to help. We were able to browse alone to look at their extensive selection of materials. Later they walked through with us and gave us their opinions and recommendations based on the what we wanted, the scale of the job, and best value. After we decided on the materials we wanted, they immediately prepared an estimate. We were shocked at the quote and received higher quotes from competitors. We then scheduled the template to take the measurements of the counter top surfaces. Their employee was very professional and considerate the entire time he was at our home engaging us whenever he had a question or needed our decision to an option. He then provided the next steps of what will happen with the template and the installation appointment. The day of the installation couldn't have arrived sooner as our plywood counter tops were beginning to warp. While they came at a later time of day, they communication from the office was most appreciated. The two gentlemen who installed our counter tops were amazing. They both had a great sense of humor and worked extremely hard. Their attention to details was superb and they did a phenomenal job. The only hiccup with the installation was that one small section was cut short from the template. However, this was not their fault as it was done before they received the material for the install. They apologized and called the office to arrange when the correct piece will be brought out to the site. Due to the late time of day they had to break the news to us that it wouldn't be till the next business day. After giving them a hard time for fun we knew it wasn't their fault and appreciated how they took ownership and tried to fix the situation. Two new installers came the next business day as promised and installed the last piece within 10min. Again these gentlemen were professionals and extremely thorough. And before I forget, we paid in advanced based on the estimate of $4,700. The estimate included a charge for a 3-man lift. However, on the day of the install only 2 installers were there and they suggested to contact the office as it is an additional charge. After discussing this with the owner and verifying the initial charge on the estimate, we received a refund of the charge bringing the total cost to just $4,400. We cannot be happier with who we chose and trusted to install our kitchen counter tops. We highly recommend the Granite Guy for your next counter top project.
Description of Work: The Granite Guy's staff helped assist in choosing the products and helped go over all of the options and details. They then came out to complete the template for our new counter tops. Later, they installed the counter tops for our island and main area of the kitchen.

A+ experience. From the second I walked into their showroom until the last installer left my house, the entire experience was an A+. The sales people and the installers were very professional, competent and nice. It is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a company that provided a product and installation service. I highly recommend the Granite Guy if you want new counter tops.

Overall, a wonderful experience. The sales staff was attentive and thorough. No high pressure, yet very accessible to answer questions and provide guidance. Very knowledgeable about their product, and helped guide us to the best selection for our needs. Installers were extremely courteous, professional, and prompt. The installation was excellent, and they were very interested about performing a quality job. They made sure that all of our concerns and requirements were met. Their price was very competitive, as well. The Granite Guys are highly recommended!

From the time I called on the phone until installed "The Granite Guy" was wonderful to work with. I initially was going with another business and had received a quote from them, but continued to look around. As I was searching the web I was really looking for someone that had great seaming reviews (because that seemed to be important) and "the Granite Guy" did! I called and actually talked to Bob, "The Granite Guy"!! I was impressed with how he answered all of my questions and was patient and knowledgable as this was all a new experience for me although I was learning! I then visited, and after that first visit - I felt like family after working with Anna and Bob to begin making my selection. That was the first of around 8 visits changing my mind each time and each time being treated as a valued customer helping me patiently and professionally. The granite choices are so beautiful and unique it was hard to choose. I initially thought I wanted dark but after consideration ( and many color/pattern choices) I had narrowed my choices to three. I was visiting again as they were unloading a new shipment of granite and saw the piece I wanted! I excitedly told Bob I had found the one and he proceeded to tell me I had already chosen that one! I said I felt silly and he reassured me that was a good sign indicating I really liked that piece of granite! I chose it ( Tuscan Persa) and I must say I absolutely love it!!!! I was not changing my appliances (white), and have light oak wood cabinets and floors. The Tuscan Persa has such beautiful highlights all through the granite and blends my white appliances and oak together perfectly! When Jesse and Jake came to install they were efficient, hard working, professional and strong!!! Jesse seamed the granite so well people can't even find it! If you are looking for a place to truly take care of you from the beginning to the end search no further! I am so glad I called " The Granite Guy"! I live 35 miles away and am so glad I made that trip to visit the store! Anna feels like a sister as I've talked to her numerous times and Bob was always there to support, guide and assure me in this venture! If I ever have to do this again (and I won't because I love my kitchen!!) I will go nowhere else!

The experience was great. Their prices were the best of the five quotes that I got for counters. The staff in the showroom was patient with our somewhat indecisive nature. Our measure date was set, but had to be moved when the cabinet installation was delayed a few days. The reschedule was accommodated quickly. We went to the showroom after the template was made and placed the templates exactly where we wanted them on the stone in order to get the veining and movement of the stone in a favorable location for the design of the kitchen. Our four children were happily entertained in their nearly-finished kid play room. (Huge plus having that!) The install went smoothly. The crew was courteous and friendly. My only complaint would be that when our measure date got moved back 4 days due to the cabinet installation delay, the resulting counter installation date moved back three weeks! That was pretty frustrating, but the remainder of our experience made the wait palatable.

Thank you for your comments! Renovations and the challenges they bring can test the patience of a saint :) Often, delays from one trade have a domino effect as you had experienced. We are pleased that the end result was a kitchen you love! The Sienna Bordeaux granite was a beautiful choice for your project. Enjoy your counters! The Granite Guy

This was a great experience. We stopped by their showroom and looked at granite slabs, but decided on a special order metallic grey quartz instead. We had a very large island (4' x 9.5') and Bob was able to accomodate this with no seams. They worked within our whole house reno schedule for templating and install. The bathroom vanities were large too but the installers handled them with ease.
