Requested an estimate to remove a 30 foot Mimosa. About two days later we arrived home just as the arborist was leaving the estuimate. He pointed out a couple of other trees that needed some attention. We agreed and he revised the estimate to include removing an overgrown Arborvitae and pruning and shaping a Honey Locust and Sweetgum. He told us that job would probably be scheduled in about 3 weeks. We were not home when the work was done about 3 weeks after we returned the estimate. We were very satisfied with the work. Trees and all debris were removed with no visible impact to surrounding landscape. The pruning dramaticaly improved the appearence of the trees, particularly the Honey Locust.

Very professional company, very prompt, and very knowledgable. Contracted with another company that provided a better overall price.

They were absolutely wonderful people to work with. They were very polite, gave me a quote and stuck to the quote, they came out and did the job and I was very pleased with their work. I would recommend them.

I called in the fall of 2009 to ask for an estimate on spraying my crabapple. They said they typically spray in the early spring and throughout the summer months and would I like them to call me in the spring to authorize. I said yes. They called, we scheduled and I have had 2 out of the 3 applications thus far. My crabapple is already showing signs of improvement with less leaf drop. The technician always knocks on the door to say he is here so I am not surprised. When I was home and answered he also gave me recommendations about needing to thin the tree. He is right; take it from a forestry major (me) who doesn't want to spray or thin. I will hire them to do that additional work also.

I filled out the online form on 6/25/10 to apply for a free estimate. Three business days have passed, and I have not received any calls or e-mails from the company to set up a time for the estimate.

They came quickly when I called about the downed tree and since it was small removed it on the spot. They consulted about the leaf miners and said they would take care of spraying and fertilizing. They arrived this spring and did both jobs well and at a good price.

They were good. They knew what they were doing to hang the branches and get them down. They hauled the big tree truck away. Everything was included in the price including the stump grinding. They cleaned up and everything was fine. The price was excellent.

The experience was fine. They trimmed the tree and left. I didn't want to trim the tree but the city said I had to.

We had a very good experience with Davey. Their estimate came in under another very fine expert we found on Angie's List. It was horrible for us to lose these trees, and from beginning to end, the experts from Davey were terrific to work with. The charged us for only 6 trees as one was a double trunk that could have been counted as two trees. They were quick, professional, and good to work with.

They showed up on time and brought a large crew out to get it done in one day. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

They did a great job. They were a little bit more expensive, but they did a nice job. It was very precarious, but they got the job done without needing heavy equipment. We were very happy with what they did and they cleaned up well. I would say it's a little bit expensive, but at the same time I don't know how many people would be willing to do what they did.

The cost of the tree removal/stump grinding/ reseeding exceeded our budget, so we decided to settle for just a tree trimming/dead wood removal instead. For whatever reason, this company chose not to respond.

We didn't use them. They were quick and very professional. The quote was just a little bit higher than the one that we ultimately went with. We would consider using them in the future or at least getting an estimate from them.

Davey was easy to work with: I submited my request online for a quote. Within days, a detailed quote was left at my door. I confirmed the work I wanted done via telephone and within the two weeks the work was performed. Even though the branches they removed were large, there was no evidence they were even in my yard (i.e. they clean up after themselves well). If the work order wasn't left for me, I wouldn't have even known to look in the back yard. Their work is good and it's a name I know I can trust. I believe in both instances I the individual I contacted/got the quote from was Bill White (seems like a good guy).

I discussed what I needed done over the phone. I did not have to be home for the service. They came when they said they would and performed services. I received the bill in the mail.

They came when I wasn't home and it was done when I got home. It cost what they told me it would cost and they did a good job. They came the day they said they would.
